That promo thing was kinda annoying. This is why I've stopped watching Family Guy. It's completely random, stupid humor that has no relevance to the plot whatsoever. Seth just can't come up with good ideas any more, so he throws crap like this in to fill air time.

It's common knowledge that Maggie has a history with firearms, and there's a distinct pause. However, no sound is played afterward, so we are unsure as to who fired.

- kgsullivan, on 10/24/2007, -3/+27Yeah I'm well aware of the 'ongoing feud', this is just a tremendously stupid response "Your show is completely unoriginal" (A Peter clone among all the Homer clones was the first jab anyone ever took) or "Your show is just a bunch of random pop culture references" (South Park's episode where Family Guy is written by manatees). Family Guy, instead of saying something in it's own defense to either of these two charges, just did something witless and meaningless. Par for the course, really.

Not because I was offended, but because the voices were horrible and the joke just didn't work. If they did just the first part where Quagmire jumped on Marge in the ad at the bottom and then chased her off without returning to it, it probably would've worked for me.

Anyways, Simpsons owns Family Guy in every way. Simpsons is timeless & you can watch them years from now. Family Guy relies too much on current pop cultural references & cheap humor. Take the early seasons of the Simpsons for example. Various levels of humour that anyone could get.
