- donjaime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+39You've never watch the Princess Bride???
Go watch it immediately. Awesome movie. - Etaoin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+31You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
- Johnny1337h4x0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30No, both cups had poison in them, the masked guy grew an immunity to that poison.
- guytoronto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26Plato, Aristotle, Socrates? Morons.

- lazza, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Never go in against a sicilian when death is on the line, aha haha haha ha ha ha.....*thud*
- MisterEd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13They should have left in the part where he explained that he had developed an immunity to that poison.
Would have made more sense for those few who have not seen this movie. - roosterjm2k2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Only a fool would fight fair in a battle to the death.
- shitdrummer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Anybody got a peanut?

I'm glad I don't know you. If Princess Bride doesn't do it for you, it's not a subjective opinion, it's a character flaw. And I really do mean that. - mcraigw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9
Another great scene is the sword fight between Inigo Montoya and the masked marauder. - DarkXanthos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I logged in just to digg you. Thank you.
- spidoman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Poorly made? It's a finely made movie. Not perfect, but it's well made, well written, and directed to bring out the best of the writing.
Just because it's appropriate for children doesn't mean it's a childrens movie and adults can't love it.
You mean you wish to surrender to me? Very well, I accept. - leapius, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Ah classic - this film was shot 2 miles from my house in the UK, I still remember all the film crew. :)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7thanks for posting the actual clip and not that fat youtube kid who does a ***** re-creation of the scene
- mikepictor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7of course he cheated. He's he's the dread pirate roberts!
Anyways, Vizzini still failed to account for it in his strategies. - UncleHenry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7The dude in the mask is the doctor from Saw.
- halo6819, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7best movie ever made, period.
- M724, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I watched that movie a long time ago, and forgot the name. Thank you for bringing it up. Now I can go get it.

This is one of my favorite movies. My wife hates it because I watch it so often... - Scopitone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4True story: the American Civil War was ended in the same damn way.
- yergi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4HEY! It's the grand negus!
- weirddave, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The Dread Pirate Roberts cheated. If the game wasn't completely rigged, I think Vizzini's plan would have worked.
Everybody likes to make fun of Vizzini as if he was stupid, but you've got to admit, he gave himself really good odds to win if the game was fair. He had several different strategies that he came up with and implemented "on the spot". - roosterjm2k2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Im not the poster, but If i were, i would probably have left it out to. The *thud* is a perfect leave-off point. I would just assume everyone has seen it, as its a great movie. Then again, I've never seen dirty harry, so im sure im in the minority there...either way, good clip, great flick!
- tokyoD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2tqmd, you obviously weren't paying attention! Try watching it again sometime.
- roosterjm2k2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2On that note...anyone watch "Criminal Minds?" I'll be damned if it took me 4 episodes for it to click that Gideon (the star of the series) and Inigo Montoya were both one and the same (real name, Mandy Patinkin) ...
do do do ... the more you know. - nihilo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I swear I've seen this movie over 300 times. Of one the most quotable movies ever made.
- liambarron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Princess Brides is the only movie that I wish I still had a vcr to play, great movie. I am probably going to buy it today. Thanks for the post :D
- NotAgOat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Vizzini cheated too, or at least he thought he did.
- splorpdotorg, on 06/02/2009, -0/+1Inigo Montoya: You are wonderful.
Man in Black: Thank you; I've worked hard to become so.
Inigo Montoya: I admit it, you are better than I am.
Man in Black: Then why are you smiling?
Inigo Montoya: Because I know something you don't know.
Man in Black: And what is that?
Inigo Montoya: I... am not left-handed.
[Moves his sword to his right hand and gains an advantage]
Man in Black: You are amazing.
Inigo Montoya: I ought to be, after 20 years.
Man in Black: Oh, there's something I ought to tell you.
Inigo Montoya: Tell me.
Man in Black: I'm not left-handed either.
[Moves his sword to his right hand and regains his advantage]

I love this flick. - Suits, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1More Princess Bride goodness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DF9O6fne6nE
- splorpdotorg, on 06/02/2009, -0/+1Agreed!

http://www.princessbridegame.com/ - agjimenez, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Close your eyes and be amazed as a masked marauder enters a battle of wits with Rex from Toy Story.
- jerrycan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Yes, his odds were better than most games of chance. I'd say 50/50...
- Daolohua, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1What a terrible clip. Who edited this garbage? The payoff was that the poison was in both goblets and that was cut out.
Great movie, do yourself a favor and watch the whole thing instead of this. - alwaysmc2, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3@tgmd
It is a bad movie. (Poorly made, anyway.) That's the point. The book was a satire on fairy tale stories , and the movie is a satire on fairy tale movies. - ghee, on 10/12/2007, -22/+2Was he poisoned by inhaling the powder?
- TGMD, on 10/12/2007, -31/+1I never understood why people consider princess bride to be 'awesome'
it seems to be nothing more than a children's movie to me... and a bad one at that.
