- jake8689, on 10/11/2007, -3/+31host: hello goodmorning
caller: hi am i on the air
host: yes
caller: ***** - KarthVader, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20As juvenile as that was, I can't...stop...laughing.
- NtHammer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20awesome, they never get old XD
- Academicballa, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14this is something i would have never thought of. when is the next open call, i have a few things to yell over the air.
- Snoods, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11"Do you feel there is a resemblance?"
- tatltat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9funnier video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIEHI0vfCBk
- wolfie8914, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12I feel like at least 25% of the calls to C-SPAN are prank calls. A lot of those anchors acted as if this kind of thing happens a lot. And it's not like C-SPAN is some douchebag network like Fox News that deserves this kind of mockery.
Nonetheless, still really funny. - COLDshiver, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9lol, woulda been better if it were by more than one person
- deaconyermouf, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9It's the simplicity that makes it funny. And he says it all boldly and succinctly.
*****. - dgh1973, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6That was funny, I wonder if the Howard Stern show was egging them on.
- MewTwo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5ballsac T. bagghar
- bluegender, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Crazy how practically anyone can call saying they're whoever they say they are...
- AustinGoodchild, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Longer compilation... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YRWen6392yA
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3That was ***** gold. I haven't laughed so hard in ages :)
- Protonz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4You really gotta rethink your ideology if a small handful of individuals can destroy civilization as you know it.
This is clearly not worse than property damage. There is NO harm being done from hearing the word '*****', whereas there is clear harm from vandalism.
I once thought traditional conservatives were tough and cowboy-like, now I see them more like whiny little Emos, always worried about their feelings getting hurt.
/Libertarian - KMye, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3woulda been better if the one person weren't such a douche
- Appox, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Hi am I on the air

- Puppetfunk, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2...people actually watch C-SPAN?

what have i learned from all of this though... Live tv + open phones + internet = funny ! - KickYoda, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2i now have to buy a new computer chair because you just made dookie all over my old one.
- MasterFunk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Prank calls are always great, no back how juvenile.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lU7AIM5M2E - ohcyrus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I remember one time Dick Army was on C-SPAN and some one called in asking how large his dick was. Only one I've ever heard until this compilation.
- alefox, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3digg me down
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2HOWARD STERNS PENIS
- sillykalcifer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1"my name is ballsac teabaghun"
- sdevoid, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Well, C-SPAN's actually owned by a collection of cable and satellite companies, not the government. Moreover, none of the content they produce is available in the public domain, even House and Senate proceedings. So they are not all good.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C-SPAN - Johnagain, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3Lame. This is grade school level shock value stuff. C'mon, there has to be someone out there that can pull an intelligent one...
- anonatron, on 10/11/2007, -12/+6HAHAHAHAH THAT GUY SAID *****!
WTF man, that is not funny, ok it is kind of funny, but at least try to be creative about it. Seriously, any 5 year old can call a show and say the word "*****", hell, I have typed it twice and implied it once, you must be laughing your ass off right the ***** now! - MacBigotDotCom, on 10/11/2007, -10/+2OK, perhaps it's because I'm a bit older than (I think) the average digg'r, but this kind of crap annoys the hell out of me. Is this what happens when elementary-school bullies grow older (not up), and *still* don't realize that this social terrorism is NOT OK?
Call me a stick-in-the-mud (I've been called much worse here -- I'm a Conservative that believes that ideology and science can coexist); but this is worse than spray-painting four-letter words on someone else's property; this is a level lower.
You know what it would be like if we didn't have avenues in the media to call in a have our thoughts represented? It's a risk, to be sure, for call-in anchors to open up their phones for live calls -- but if this kind of 8-year-old abuse continues to travel from the playground, into venues of civilized discourse (whether or not you agree with or support that particular venue), then we are one step closer to admitting that we have no civilization at all.
You may not have an inkling of how important this is to people who are not fully steeped in a 'net-connected way of life; but a huge percentage of adults in our country would be not represented if it weren't for interactive video and call-in radio media. There are organizations that would love to see this kind of back-and-forth reduced to insignificance, so that only structured, monitored, yes -- even ENGINEERED discussions -- survive.
And then, how long will it take for those powers of mass communication and government oversight to reach out to the internet-based venues you treasure so much?
Ask China how they feel about it. - JorgeGonzalez, on 10/11/2007, -12/+3Wow, that didn't even have the best one of them all is when the guy says, "Colin Powell is a son of a ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** *****."
That has become part of our lexicon.
