- Llanowar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+109Adam's explanation/rambling is the start of the action to me.
- Dayz, on 10/12/2007, -14/+92Woot he writes Merry Christmas not Happy Holidays. +Digg
- naiku, on 10/12/2007, -1/+45Kari dancing/stripping would have been a better xmas gift, but still....mythbusters is awesome.
- inmatarian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+41Heart the Mythbusters. I swear, the fun these guys have makes such great television. An explosion isn't complete without Adam Savage's laugh.

classic. - J3yrad, on 10/12/2007, -4/+33The James Kim stories took less than 30 mins to get to front page.
- PunishedOne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+29MythBuster madness at it's finest.
- jessestay, on 01/21/2009, -0/+25whoa - I just turned on the TV and this exact episode was on
- lastthingusee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20As I'm sure most of these projects do. I wouldn't imagine something that elaborate to work on the first time through.
- PatrickFisher, on 10/12/2007, -8/+262 hours 7 minutes to get to the front page? Holy *****, that's gotta be at least CLOSE to a record...
- Llanowar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15I doubt that would ever happen, though if you request kindly... Adam might be willing to do it. :p
- RichPowers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13ahahaha that was one of my favorite MythBusters segments. Love that show!
- dyvbond, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13who is this "rune" goldberg you speak of?
- r0b0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Mythbusters = Amazing. Thats all that is needed to say
- driftersgold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Did anyone else find the box labeled "vaseline and sand" disturbing?
- idiotwithastick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Only 10 takes? I took the Honda people 606 takes before they finally got their "Cog" ad finished...

or direct link: http://files.kavefish.com/video/honda_commercial_the_cog.mov - directedition, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Kinda hard to see some of the cool stuff. Darn youtube.com
- dnguyen411, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6It took them at least 10 takes before the machine went through all the way without screwing up.
- ff3j, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6full episode here:
http://www.dailymotion.com/search/mythbusters/video/xrrpd_mythbusters-christmas-special-impro - retral, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Saw this special on tv the other night... wasn't the best, but good nonetheless.
- GeorgePBurdell, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8The whole episode was pretty good!
- TheGilmanator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Best Christmas card ever. Finally, a Mythbusters contraption they said from the start was going to be useless.
- SSCrow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+51,337 Views. Awesome.
- JorgeGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Real men do Rube Goldberg devices with the free Garry's Mod NINE ;-D
- Raids, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5LOL the rambling by adam at the start was amazing. i had a smile on my face the whole time their project was going off
- Fascist, on 10/12/2007, -9/+14The action starts at 2:20, if you want to skip there...
- teamgwho, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4offtopic but the best two lines from the whole episode were not from that part of the show.
1) gravity research guy said to kerryi: it's "only magnetrism that holds your top up."
2) adam: "are these christmas balls madfe of glass?" //smashs one on the ground "oh. I guess they are." - ragipy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5what is with the capital letters???
- teamgwho, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4yes but a failed experiment isn't complete with an adam savage expletive
- macamatition, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I love this episode, A mythbusters classic although it isn't busting a myth its still awsome!
- Tolzmaniac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Did anyone else see the nametags on the boxes at the end? "Bug Hair"? HUH?
- BugMeNot2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5$10 to cover the cost of Garry's Mod 10 and I'd do it. Or at least try.
- techforce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I believe you're thinking of another episode, the one where they try to burn down the Christmas tree with lights. That wasn't the Christmas special, just the episode where they had so much fun with the tree that they decided to do the Christmas special.
- eliteeggnog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"saw it live too!"
No you didn't. Unless you were actually at M5 Industries while filming/testing this, which I guess is possible, you saw the recorded and edited version. Wasn't live. - super_spyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2first thing I did was check your comment time to se if there was a chance it would be on for me..... sadly your comment was from 40 minutes ago so it is most likely over... or maybe it will be on in 2 hours 20 minutes if you live on east coast
- 0firefly0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You're BEING stupid...
- Goner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2me too. In fact, I paused the intro of the show on the tv to surf the net a bit and was reading this story when I realized that the opening of the video on youtube was looking a lot like the paused image on my tv screen. Convergence is upon us, my brethren.
- eliteeggnog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Let's see it. You can use whatever scale you want, make it 10 times larger, that'll be great. For the walking robot part (not the candle, the one that knocks over the oven) you may want to program that correctly, so it doesn't turn in circles like it did in the episode.
I'm totally serious, by the way. Oh, and with the video, I expect the save game and any scripted files used for it so anyone that wants to can tweak it and make sure it's real! - mapkinase, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If it was for not very annoying description in the beginning, then it was for annoying self-aggrandizing, self-image advertising to the camera, that made me mark it lame.
This is the worst RG machine I have ever seen. - RickyBennett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2dude that episode was awesome and really funny
- sphinx13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I watched this on TV last night. It was cool but I've seen better. The show right after was the top 10 best mythbuster myths of all time and that was awesome. Someone should put that up.
- wet_napkin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3This one is better...
http://asylum-blog.com/blueball.html - rawM3TAL, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I expect that 5 dollars as soon as I'm done.

Loved it - saw it live too! - pinky24, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1why distance cousin of the Zune!
- L0t3k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1606 takes?!
I don't get it... the 'pedia says it's real, but it all looks like a rendering. What gives? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1One the Celtic Goldbergs
- pinky24, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1instead of "Isn't it nice when things just, work?" they should of said "Isn't it nice, when thing finally work after 600+ tries?"

If I Remember The Episode Correctly, They Done These Kinds Of Stuff For Commercials Before, Taking 2-3 Weeks Getting The Idea And Setting It, And About 3-4 Days To Actually Shoot It, And That This One Took A Little Longer..
Happy Holidays Everyone! - Daniel15, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Wow, nice... Very impressive
I'd love to do something like this :) -
