My Daily Digg Disappointment
lewp.wordpress.com — Hello fellow Diggers. Like the title? I thought I would make everyone ’s heart skip a beat hahaha. I would like to talk for a moment about a pet peeve of mine about Digg though. It’s not reall Digg, but some Diggers. Let’s say you use this tool to keep current on your friend’s submissions: http://sandbox.sourcelabs.com/tinc/
- 58 diggs
- digg it
- MookiBlaylock, on 07/25/2008, -0/+7Definitely takes work to keep up on all your friends posts, and usually the favor isn't return 100%. When that happens sometimes it better to Digg the stories you want to support.
- LewP, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5good point Mookie...thanks
- skarsa72, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2haha, hey lewp. i submit about 1-2 per day so i've always found your submissions a bit excessive, so reading this was funny! but hey, i keep diggin i dont mind! :)
- LewP, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3Thanks Skarsa....Sorry to be a pain, but I do try to limit the number of stories I submit.
- ulb1963, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3Dumb question here, but is that site on a 24-hour schedule? Say someone submits 5 items on Monday, and I've dugg all of those. The next day they submit 5 and I get them all too. Is it going to show that I've dugg their last 10, or only their last 5?
- LewP, on 07/26/2008, -0/+4It will show that you have dugg their last 10 submissions. Here's the way that works. Say you digg 1 - 5, once you digg those, the hyperlink grays out...the next day you will see 5 brand new hyperlinks that aren't grayed out....that's the way you know which stories you have dugg already. Good question.
- ulb1963, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1OK, thanks so much for answering! I'm still trying to get it after all this time....

- lucy22, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1I am glad you wrote this. Some of the same things have been on my mind lately. A very good post.
It is hard to keep up some diggers. "I try and respect my friends, and not work them like a cheap circus hand all day", -Yes, so true, I am glad you mentioned this.
Friends who submit like 15 a day are too hard to keep up with when a person only submits one or 2 a day.
