- wirefx, on 10/12/2007, -3/+44RIP mitch
- stupidbrowner, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15umm, yeah, it IS funny
PS your an idiot - LucerinRed, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16To be honest, Demitri pails in comparison to mitch
- rhinopig, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I was thinking the exact same thing (demetri = mitch), but actually alot of comedians use this style. Mitch is the earliest i know of though, but i'm not a comedianologist.
- swimmingbird67, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8it's "Hedberg"
- rhinopig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6also, this isn't the best of his stuff. check out http://youtube.com/watch?v=37jFPtykeN8&mode=related&search=
- timo1023, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I've seen a few of his videos, and I don't think they are all that great. However, the CD's are AMAZING. If you even mildly enjoyed this video, go and buy his CD's. They will have you cracking up for days.
Also, if you look at the video closely, you can see that his eyes are closed. Apparently, he gets really nervous at shows so he closes his eyes. Doesn't bother me, he's funny as hell! - thestorey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Rip Mitch You kicked so much ass. i am so happy to have seen you live.
- unfinite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Of course, that's impossible.
...unless. No never mind. - cbarning, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4We love you Mitch!
- 51mmz0rz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4You spelled his name wrong.
http://www.mitchhedberg.net/
But yes, he is great. - Pulp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I almost want to point out how shameful it is that several people have never heard Mitch Hedberg, but I won't (I think I just did) because it's never too late to catch up on his timeless brilliance. He will be missed.
- elitexero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3There cannot and never will be another Mitch Hedberg
- GabeUtsecks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Steven Wright is probably the originator of that style
- ginrummy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yea, acid probably did that to him. When he was on acid he would see things that looked like beams of light, and hear things that sound a lot like car horns.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4i love this guy, have both his albums
RIP - OsamaBinTayTay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah Mitch was a champ...
Funny thing is the dude had terrible stage fright. (If you're a fan you probally allready know that)
Can't tell easily in the video due to the res but his eyes are closed the entire time due to said stage fright. - Jaydo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"how did mitch hedberg get his accent? I saw earlier videos and he was very calm and didn't sport an accent."
Acid. - rbvmusic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3yeh, but mitch hedberg's take on it is freakin' hilarious. From what I saw from Steven Wright he's monotone and kind of lifeless but mitch's delivery pretty much makes it hilarious. He always acts like he's wired on something (probably because he probably is) and his pacing is perfect, that and he always seems like he enjoys his jokes.
- Digitalfuneral, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6This guy, I find, is hilarious. If you watch this one please go on to watch all his other stuff here:
http://www.smithappens.com/video_mitchhedberg.php
Some of the videos don't work.
Please, enjoy. - D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4One is certainly better than the other, but should Demetri be dead? I think not...
- dgemmer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Word, Demetri's got this 'Napoleon Dynamite' style of comedy that gets tired. Like, it's funny to say "Tina, Get your Ham!" for awhile, but then it gets played. I like his graphs though.
- spoonard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I watched Demetri's special on Comedy Central the other night. it was pretty funny. His style seemes to flow from Mitch Hedbergs as alot of you have noticed. That's ok. People, as far as I am concerned, couldn't pay enough tribute to Mitch. His style was truly unique. I am sad indeed the world lost Mitch.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2some good clips:

been around for a long time, but hilarious nonetheless - polo3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Mitch, you put to shame all the foul mouth comics out there.
Thanks for the Steven "steer"... hadn't heard of him
http://youtube.com/watch?v=yGi-PhDuyHs - cocoamix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I saw him around 2003 just a couple of years before he died.
I thought he was pretty good. It's a shame he's gone. - spider-man, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Try Stephen Wright. I believe he was way before either.
- sparkrainfir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1is this a surprise to anyone?
- Zanwar000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1how did mitch hedberg get his accent? I saw earlier videos and he was very calm and didn't sport an accent.
- ginrummy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Any questions you have about Mitch Hedberg can be answered with either acid or heroin.
- elitexero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Mitch died from multiple drug toxicity in his hotel room.
:( - Hassassin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1:) I saw him live about 2 weeks before he died. Easily the best comedian I've ever seen live.
- whiledo, on 03/25/2009, -0/+1Posting this because I had heard the original bit about the heart defect and was about to post it as the answer. Glad I bothered looking it up.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitch_Hedberg
"Hedberg was born with a heart defect for which he received extensive treatment as a child. Though this condition initially had been cited as a possible cause of death, in May 2005 the New Jersey medical examiner's office reported "multiple drug toxicity," including cocaine and heroin, as the official cause of death." - craighoxton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Mitch died in 2005. The best message of sympathy on his website was "Make God laugh"
- MightyGiant, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I don't get it.
- ginrummy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1He also kind of rocks back and forth a little in this video. I've seen some videos where he moves nonstop because of his stage fright.
- justinm1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't know, I much prefer Demetri Martin. It seems like Hedberg relies a lot on the stoner-vibe delivery and persona to help along the jokes, while Martin is a lot more subtle and dry.
But both are a bajillion times better than Dane Freaking Cook. - Tollboi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ spider-man
you are totally right, not sure why your being dugg down. I am a huge Hedberg fan and I actually got to see him twice in Nashville at Zanies shortly before he died. The second time I saw him we stayed around and watched him get interviewed by some public access show and he actually gave alot of credit to Stephen Wright. - protiek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1well then, you must not be human.
- stonedslacker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2There's this Ultimate Mitch Heberg torrent someone created. Has almost everything of his best albums and video appearances in only 420 mb. Check this out.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1LAME. I mean is he cracked out or something?
- rcran, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1The interesting thing is that had you not put the '/sarcasm' tag in there, you still would have been dugg down...
- hollywoodone, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Does this guy remind anyone of the guy from purepwnage.com?
- billygreen23, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3Sorry, but this guy is just not funny.
- NijiDaku, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2I just gave this guy a third try after seeing clips with Demitri.. Ill hope that it has something to do with me seeing Demitri before him, but he appears really intolerable to me, I can barely hear what he says, he's gotta be either drunk or high or both and.. I don't know. Are there any clips where he is reasonably sober that I can watch?
- PeTeRZz, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Ugh...I read these comments first before I watched the video. I wanted to like this guy, But he was just awful...I'm sorry. I didn't even crack a smile once...Just wasn't funny....My opinion of course....
- ChaosIncarnate, on 10/12/2007, -14/+3The biggest difference between Mitch Hedberg and Demetri Martin is the one who shouldn't be dead is and the one who should be dead isn't.
- Providence, on 10/12/2007, -38/+3BUOYANCY OF CITRUS LAWL! SO FUNNY!
