What a douche. - boblabla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Agreed. Managers arguing with the umps is part of the game. Whenever the ump makes a bad call, the managers let them have it. It causes the ump to think twice the next time a similar call comes up or to even give the team an equal call the other way. Granted, this guy was a bit over the top with the 5 minute antics. Usually a minute of arguing is effective.

- hiranif, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1don't hate on baseball people, managers getting upset is just part of the game. i don't hear much clamoring about the fact that its legal to engage in hand to hand combat in hockey. There you just get a 5 minute major, in basaeball u get tossed for a game.
Besides, as someone who has played baseball for a long time, i can testify that its good to see that your coach is that dedicated and that intense about the game. It certainly makes you want to up your level of intensity.
