She took them literally. - schwit, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6This happens a lot. I saw a goose get hit mid-neck with a low drive. It quickly tried to get up, but its head was just dangling because of the broken neck. It died within minutes.
The grounds keeper was nearby and we apologized, but he wanted us to kill more because the geese are a nuisance. Goose crap all over the place is bad on many levels, especially when it's on the greens. He also had a dog with him whose job was to chase the geese away. - Spastastic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4wow. And if that wasn't enough a fox ran out from the bushes almost instantly and took whatever remained of the bird.
- nofxjunkee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3i hit a seagull with a rock by mistake once (we were kids skipping stones at the lake, seriously) and it was stunned for a while, i thought it was dead but it flew away after a couple minutes. a golf ball might do more damage, but it wasn't a screaming shot so hopefully it was fine.
