- VegasKill, on 10/10/2007, -11/+138Celebrities. Are. Not. News.

Jimmy "So its ok to say false things about someone"
Dumb Chick "No its not ok to say false things about someone"
Jimmy "Then you should check out your website"
Haha funny - bamiller3, on 10/10/2007, -3/+82It makes me sad that Lifehacker.com and Gizmodo.com are part of the Gawker Media Network.
- crh3f, on 10/10/2007, -6/+68yeah she is...and about her being an airhead...we said "she looks good" meaning "I'd hit it", not "oh, what a wonderful girl who I'd love to date"
oh, and if anyone DOES hit it, pics and you can submit them to www.galker.com/stalker - AQMessiah, on 10/10/2007, -4/+64Seems like an airhead though.
- sbenus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+59he was covering for Larry King so he dressed like him
- monsterofNone, on 10/10/2007, -8/+65some women are so stupid they erase their own cuteness.
- thrallie, on 10/10/2007, -3/+42talk = *****
- mandarin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+37sure doesnt work when I dress up as Batman...
- kamiller, on 10/10/2007, -13/+49What is up with Kimmel's clothes? Is he trying to be Larry King? I guess he is trying to be serious, but when I see him I think of the man show.
- martyFREEDOM, on 10/10/2007, -9/+38Buried for: Pointless post.
- meltingrobot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+28Sigh... okay. I'll do it. ;)
- zoinnk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+25She writes about the interview in a NY Times op-ed:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/04/opinion/04gould.html?ex=1189828800&en=a0ca2846daa81cb3&ei=5070 - juicebag, on 10/10/2007, -3/+27That's why it's in the comedy section.
- Fryguy8, on 10/10/2007, -4/+27I'd hit that bitch...
with a brick - mrASSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -2/+24She had dancing eyebrows. That was annoying me throughout the video.
- damonic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+23I think we should start stalking her...
- lb746, on 10/10/2007, -5/+26Just email the site at: tips@gawker.com and be sure to let them know this:
I just saw Emily Gould giving a handjob to a monkey near the Lincoln tunnel!!! Also, when isn't she always intoxicated in public?
It's totally true and should be all over the web about her. - EricSchC1, on 10/10/2007, -15/+34Periods. Belong. At. The. End. Of. Sentences.
And. Your. Opinion. Is. Solely. Your. Own.
Burried. - TrevorBelmont, on 10/10/2007, -5/+24This broad comes of as a smug, vapid liar.
- Cimlite, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19Appear visibly sober?
- actorboy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18It would certainly give her some perspective.
Emily Gould: "Honestly, I think there is a shifting definition of what is public and what is private space for everyone, not just celebrities. The Internet, blogs, myspace -- no one has the reasonable expectation of being able to walk down the street and not have what they're doing be noticed by someone anymore."
Jimmy Kimmel: "Well, that's just...that is just the terrible thing though, isn't it?
Emily Gould: "Is it really?"
Yes. Yes, it is. - ngmcs8203, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19Doesn't look very cute in her FOX News response to her Kimmel (Larry King) interview....
http://gawker.com/news/clips/in-which-the-discourse-of-the-gould+kimmel-fracas-is-substantially-elevated-255166.php - massproductions, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18As well as Kotaku & The Consumerist.
- actorboy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17Dugg for your addendum.
- SaladCactusKing, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17Gawker pointed out the next day that Jimmy Kimmel Live pays for massive amounts of advertising on competing blogs like The Superficial and TMZ.
So who would advertise on the internet? You, you unfunny *****. - lohphat, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17You should never have a battle of wits with an unarmed person. It's not fair.
- crh3f, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16didn't you read the website? he's always intoxicated, man....
- alexforcefive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14I like how she went on jimmy kimmel to defend her right to print libellous and cruel statements about people, and then she went on fox news to complain that people were writing mean things about her on the internet
- actorboy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15Making any product, be it art or automobiles, is not an open invitation to being stalked.
- aussia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11I love how the Fox news anchor's "comeback" was 'oh that Jimmy Kimmel, don't worry about him, he has a sexual problem you know.' WTF?!
- drunkenirish, on 10/10/2007, -15/+26O.k., but Kimmel gets points in the Douchbag column....he went from screaming about "Man-ventions" and scantly clad girls on trampolines to theorizing on how other people are going to be going to hell...
The bottom line is that if you don't want the public, who makes you popular and makes your sweet ass life popular by paying money to see you/listen to you/whatever, to be in your face, be like the other 99% of us: get a real job, get up at 6am, waste 8+ hours of your life a day, go home and prepare for the same soul crushing tomorrow.
You being stalked is the price you pay for being famous. - firebhaal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I think he really wanted to say "your" in that specific case also
- IamChrisMcCall, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9I am not one to come to the defense of celebrities, and I love a good blog as much as the next man, but where are her ethics? She came off as exactly the last sort of person I would want to spend time with: vapid, patronizing and empty.
- Synn, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13Let me guess...you submitted this story too, but it didn't make the front page.
- navitatl, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12Her only defense for his arguments is her damn facial expressions of "what, that's totally unreasonable!"
It makes me want to punch her - oddmanout, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9I think his point was that she's trying to come off as a legitimate news source (she used the word journalism) when in fact she's just making stuff up. "i heard kimmel raped a watermelon" in a forum is far different that someone who says "i am a real journalist, here are my credentials, we have evidence that says he does." he was basically saying "if you insist you're a real journalist, and people believe you're a journalist, and you write whatever you want, bad things can and will happen"
like he said, it doesn't matter how rich you are or how famous you are, lies are lies. - YouandWhoseArmy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Gawker Stalker is sometimes used by PR companies as well. i.e. so and so spotted at whenever, wherever. Keep in mind at that point it is more about building the brand than the actual celebrity.
- PixelVision, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8he's chinese
- toekneebullard, on 10/10/2007, -4/+12"The bottom line is that if you don't want the public, who makes you popular and makes your sweet ass life popular by paying money to see you/listen to you/whatever," Some people are just driven to make art. The fact that people stalk them because of it is the artists fault?
What if I decided you were someone special, and I started posting on the net everyday about where you were and what you did, then one day I came into your house, and ***** on your floor. Would this then be your fault, because I found you interesting? - actorboy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8There is difference between calling your buddy to say "guess who I just saw" and publishing it as live content with exact locations.
- Thuktun, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8"Is he trying to be Larry King?"
On CNN? With Larry King's graphics? In Larry King's seat? Can't imagine why he'd dress like Larry. - behonest, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8If by cute you mean annoying as hell, can't her eyes look straight ahead for more than 10 seconds.
- Gregus1032, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8i think he's bashing gawker stalker more so than the actual video.
is it really news if some celebtrity shows up at a store? - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8I keep trying to disagree but my inner ape just says... damn, she's really hot.
- TypeEE, on 10/10/2007, -6/+13Jimmy is quite naive. He seems to have never read blogs before.
- heynoop, on 10/10/2007, -6/+13OMG PARADOX!!!11
- Gabberwok, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10It will be news when Britney Spears inevitably eats her own babies.
