- dareyoutomove, on 04/08/2008, -2/+117Fantastic
- evilpig, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3I have to agree. Had me off my ass.
- arcanesmile, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5gg :)
- MicroBerto, on 04/08/2008, -4/+2I live in Hermosa Beach, I would have loved to take part in this if I would have known. I'm not surprised they chose this area, plenty of money and nice people to deal with it.
The South Bay is by far the best part of LA if you ask me. ALWAYS something interesting or active going on. - Jrr6415sun, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6When I was 12 I was lucky enough to get to the world series with my little league team and I remember being so excited because they said our names over the speakers every time we came up to bat... If I was that excited then, I can't even begin to imagine how excited these kids must have been. This is so awesome.
- billflu, on 04/08/2008, -1/+228Woah, this group went from low budget fun to all out, professionally done hidden (or in this case, not so hidden) camera show.
- ArthurArchnix, on 04/08/2008, -3/+71Yeah... it's amazing how they managed to get the goodyear blimp, the mascot, the portable big screen, the booth, the hotdogs... that's some mad "improv" skills. It was more like "Extreme Makeover, Little league baseball edition"
- bs0l, on 04/08/2008, -1/+13It was really nice they did this for kids too, not people who wouldn't appreciate it.
- jaewon223, on 04/08/2008, -1/+8yeah they really went all out here. i thought there would be a bigger crowd though
- wolfmanp, on 04/08/2008, -16/+5Looks like they sold-out to NBC to me. Once this gets on actual TV the fun will be gone. Everyone will know when something weird happens that it's for a tv show. I like it better when these types of internet memes are kept underground.
- TheGameAddict, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2This was done last year, while they were filming a pilot for NBC. Didn't got through, though.
- Daniel591992, on 04/08/2008, -1/+92I love how the kid says he has to ger used to that kind of stuff. Great job to Improv Everywhere for another outstanding prank!
- Daniel591992, on 04/08/2008, -0/+204Oh, and props to NBC and GoodYear for helping out!
- mstubz, on 04/08/2008, -0/+31Yeah what kind of deal did you score with NBC? Is this on national television now?
- LoadStar, on 04/08/2008, -0/+25The FAQ on their webpage indicates that a pilot episode was filmed for NBC, but not picked up. This mission and the Frozen Grand Central mission both are likely footage from that pilot episode.
- Psythik, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7So how about airing the pilot on a cable network?
- bs0l, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5I agree, they've built up a HUGE internet following and the show would do really well.
Friends who I believe to be out of the loop of things come up to me talking about "some Best Buy prank" and "the one where everyone just froze in a train station". - zman1117, on 04/08/2008, -2/+8Yes, but even thought they may have a large Internet following, that doesn't translate to good TV ratings.
- anonm, on 04/08/2008, -2/+4Snakes on a Plane anyone?
- bs0l, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1TV SHOW? WHAT?!
haha that'd suck.
- bs0l, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1TV SHOW? WHAT?!
- bs0l, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5I agree, they've built up a HUGE internet following and the show would do really well.
- Psythik, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7So how about airing the pilot on a cable network?
- ricree, on 04/08/2008, -1/+24It's a damned shame that that they were not picked up. The group is absolutely hilarious, and some of the pilot missions should have been convincing enough in and of themselves. Between this one and the food court musical, it seems clear that they could have put on a great show.
- twtmc, on 04/08/2008, -3/+6It's a good thing they didn't get picked up. This way they remain fairly low budget and are forced to always put lots of effort into it if they want it to turn out great.instead of just having most of the materials handed to them and the organizers getting lazy.
- LoadStar, on 04/08/2008, -0/+25The FAQ on their webpage indicates that a pilot episode was filmed for NBC, but not picked up. This mission and the Frozen Grand Central mission both are likely footage from that pilot episode.
- sagat, on 04/08/2008, -1/+38Now it's going big budget.
- aceakm, on 04/08/2008, -2/+10http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezxdgDRguMU
- bs0l, on 04/08/2008, -1/+3You win, my friend.
- aceakm, on 04/08/2008, -2/+10http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezxdgDRguMU

- 1randomguyO8, on 04/08/2008, -0/+43Yeah I wouldn't want to see their lugnuts or mudcats

- MrJagil, on 04/08/2008, -1/+9Hmm.. you call the NUTs pussies, and the go on saluting the CATs?
- djAnakin, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3No way! Lugnuts pwn you all!
- dwninjungleland, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7I heard that the mudcats violated recruiting regulations....
- ProjectGSX, on 04/08/2008, -16/+9i herd u liek mudkips? i leik them too.
- rhisc, on 04/08/2008, -2/+28LOL at the Goodyear blimp!
- kyouteki, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6Well, it LOLs right back at you, mister!
- legoman31245, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2in soviet russia, blimp lols at you!
- badassninja, on 04/08/2008, -19/+7Youtube Video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Nbkbss7i5s- Augie1969, on 04/08/2008, -1/+3I think in this case, it's cool to visit their actual website :)
- jjive, on 04/08/2008, -8/+16Pretty cool, but where's all the steroids?
- biotch, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7Yeah they're "gonna have to get used to that kinda stuff"
- getrealnow, on 04/08/2008, -3/+142I thought it was going to be lame, but it was surprised refreshing, I mean the kids are going to remember that game for a long time. Then the email at the end from the parent was icing on the cake. We need more pranks like this haha
- WNW3, on 04/08/2008, -0/+8I like nice pranks :)
- McReynolds, on 04/08/2008, -1/+15It falls a streaker short of the big time game.
- semeticstallion, on 04/08/2008, -1/+154Definitely the most heartwarming prank they've ever done. Thanks for making my day (and certainly the kids' season).
- LloydBentsen, on 04/08/2008, -1/+13Where's the Beer Man?
- Goombellaofgoom, on 04/08/2008, -0/+9Or maybe Root Beer Man?
- donkeySays, on 04/08/2008, -0/+4Improv Rocks!
- Velnich, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Technically it's not improv given how much planning was involved. Regardless, it does rock.
- p0pcorns, on 04/08/2008, -0/+10Good on them for making it that much more memorable for the kids and the parents.
- gordo42, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Absolutely fantastic!
- Zipko, on 04/08/2008, -0/+62IE is awsome!
Every year when they do the no pants subway ride I join in the event myself at work. Though last year was my third time and afterwards they asked me to please stop.- Sacrifice, on 04/08/2008, -10/+3I prefer the Fx, they do better improv.
- shooper, on 04/08/2008, -0/+26Ok, I'm a geek. First time I read this comment, I saw "IE is awsome!" and thought Internet Explorer instead of Improv Everywhere. Damn... need to get outside more.
- tfrans, on 04/08/2008, -4/+1I thought the same thing... was about to go on a rant about how much IE sucks but this message will have to do.
- CarStan, on 04/08/2008, -14/+2Where was the Rick Roll sing-a-long?
- t2t2, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2Wrong group
- MrFanrastic, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5Best Improv Everywhere Ever.
- stephenwq, on 04/08/2008, -0/+66One of the best Improv Everywhere stunts, very professional.
For the small cost of NBC getting out the jumbotron and the Goodyear blimp they are going to get a hell of a lot of exposure in return, kudos to them for helping out anyway. - zen53, on 04/08/2008, -3/+2Mission Accomplished!
- cldershem, on 04/08/2008, -0/+22easily my favorite one of theirs. all it was missing was Rob getting lost in the stands.
- dwninjungleland, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7ROB!!!!
- jschwabe, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2ROB’S RETARDED (CLAP CLAP, CLAP CLAP CLAP)
- dwninjungleland, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7ROB!!!!
- treelovinhippie, on 04/08/2008, -0/+44Damn, Improv Everywhere are really picking up their game.
- Goombellaofgoom, on 04/08/2008, -10/+1I see what you did there.
- fudged71, on 04/08/2008, -1/+14Check out the muscles on the mudcats team ! Clearly some doping going on in this league !
I demand drug tests- loquax, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1They still allow Androstenedione, but it has been rumored that Congress will be calling a few of the players to testify.
- Pentatonic, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2improv everywhere has the best pranks ever o: i remember the one with the amazing hypnotist... made me lol forever.
- robalesi, on 04/08/2008, -0/+21This is easily one of the most universally appealing acts of kindness I've ever seen. Charlie Todd is a genius.
- lefrais, on 04/08/2008, -0/+5"The younger brothers and sisters of the players on the field had a great time interacting with our mascots, although some Lugnut fans got a little violent with the Mudcat bear, chasing and hitting him repeatedly". lol
- smacksaw, on 04/08/2008, -9/+6The internet has ruined me. I was thinking "I hope the Mudkips lost, I hate Mudkips"
- thedpshow, on 04/08/2008, -5/+2What!?!?
I heard you liek mudkips!- kevir, on 04/08/2008, -0/+0GB2/b/
- thedpshow, on 04/08/2008, -5/+2What!?!?
- aselbie, on 04/08/2008, -1/+2Wow, the Improv Everywhere guys have really outdone themselves this time. I wonder what they'll do to top it?
- Metman, on 04/08/2008, -0/+53I dream of a day that these kinds of efforts from people and communities dominate the news headlines instead of being bombarded with sensationalized 'doom' news reports.
- peznex, on 04/09/2008, -1/+1...or britney spears *****.
- Velnich, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1That would be a bad thing. You'd get some many copy cats that people would become desensitized to how awesome this stuff is. Though between this stuff and the doom, I'm not sure which is better to be desensitized against.
- imbetterthanu, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2That was great. I would have loved to have had something like that happen when I played little league.
- C0leBurns, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3Was that Adam Sessler with the M and C on his chest?
- tppeters, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2It's his brother, Jonathan Sessler. I went to college with him.
- amgamer23, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Improv Everywhere is just awesome.
- logiksan, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1What a great idea. A+ guys.
- goeatsmsht, on 04/08/2008, -1/+7But who won?
- greggerm, on 04/08/2008, -0/+49From the I.E. site, looks as though this was performed back in March 2007. Also from the I.E. site, they were working with NBC on a pilot version of the show for national broadcast. This must be one of the pranks they lined up with the network for use in the pilot. The financial backing needed, the clearance to use the NBC logos... and it would also explain why a year-old prank was just published this week - NBC probably needed to "release" the prank to I.E. given they weren't going to pick up the show.
All told though - it was a great bit. I wish I was there to witness it in person!!- LoadStar, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3They've been slowly uploading the missions from that pilot episode all along. The Frozen Grand Central, Food Court Musical, and this were probably the three missions that would have been included in that episode.
- greatprojects, on 04/08/2008, -0/+14That's really too bad it wasn't picked up, if that's the case. I would tune in for this show much more than most of what is programmed right now.
- coheedcollapse, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Yeah, obviously they should have pitched it to another station. NBC picked up that stupid ass Karaoke wannabe "The Singing Bee", but let this genius show slip through their fingers.
- speedyrev, on 04/08/2008, -1/+5Great idea! I just wish they had more people involved. The stands should have been packed.
- soapycub, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1These guys are amazing. I cannot imagine what they've already got in the works for their next effort. Good on them!
- Beaches, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1simply amazing, seeing the kids smile so much.. for one day it really didn't matter if they won or lost.
- nzar, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Awesome!
- greenlikematt, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2it's nice to see one of these organizations doing omething positive, instead of convincing someone their parents are dead or playing some terrible trick on them like those low budget british shows in the higher channels.
- drguerra, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Wow. Just amazing.
- Danjak, on 04/08/2008, -0/+3Outstanding. A very good prank, and one that leaves everyone happy with cherished memories for life. You don't see that very often.
- koolto, on 04/08/2008, -1/+1Where's Duffman and Duff's Blimp?
- stustyle, on 04/08/2008, -3/+1Jim Gray is still a douche bag.
- RockMuncher, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7Well done for Improv Everywhere. They consistently show that large pranks don't have to be malicious or embarrassing to be funny as hell. I love this group, and eagerly anticipate their next stunt.
- imitationflavor, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1Budget or not, good site, glad it was dugg cause i had never heard of it before.
- heavystone, on 04/08/2008, -1/+7AMAZING! Them guys have a big heart! I couldn't stop smiling!
- MrSkyGuy, on 04/08/2008, -0/+1This made my day.. wow. Digg made me smile.. inside! Hurry, get the antidote!
