Burkas a little more cultural than religious (though the idea comes from religious standards) and there are very few cultures left where a women is required to wear it. Usually covering up the hair is enough. Conservative groups like the Taliban when they controlled Afganistan, put laws in place forcing women to wear burkas when in public.

These people are not tolerant at all of practically anything.
For that reason alone, as a freedom loving human, you're REQUIRED to clown them. As insensitive as it may be, you're totally required. Humor is a form of protest. And you can act as angry as you want about it, and it means nothing, they like having a known enemy. You clown them, and then you're actually questioning what they do.

We're automatically jerks to them. Just like women are automatically inferior and not allowed to drive a car (too stupid), and those that were born of other religions are automatically deserving of jail or death.
