- RunDiggMC, on 03/24/2009, -57/+991The worst part about Dane Cook is that he's not even unfunny in a funny way, a la Neil Hamburger. He's simply not funny. He's just a loud douchebag. That being said, it's hard to blame him. He's figured out how to make millions of dollars by screaming ***** jokes to frat boys and sorority girls, so he must be smarter than he looks.
- skuzzed, on 03/24/2009, -33/+821Hating Dane Cook is so 2008.
- kent1146, on 03/24/2009, -19/+460Best comment about Dane Cook ever. From Skyabyss on 10/01/2008:
Allow me to elaborate. First, you need to realize there is a difference between a comedian and a clown. You can't just listen to Dane Cook's stand-up because it is not thought provoking, and is authentically not funny. You find it more enjoyable to watch because he needs to jump about and flail his limbs to make anything about him even reasonably funny. These are not things comedians do, these are things clowns do.
Dane Cook is a ***** clown, not a comedian. Go listen to some good stand-up comedy and you will understand why. - inactive, on 03/24/2009, -17/+419NO MATTER WHAT I YELL ITS FUNNY!!! HAHAHAHA!
- mjr4189, on 03/24/2009, -27/+321Mitch Hedberg>all
- vilago, on 03/24/2009, -72/+333I don't think he's that bad. Honestly, i don't see the problem. I think the better word here is overrated, not untalented. He's a good comedian, just too big for his britches. That being said, i've seen worse actors get good cred (keanu?) as well. bury me if you want but i will stand true.
- classhelper, on 03/24/2009, -20/+252My ex-wive loves Dane Cook. We're still friends, but the fact that she's my ex and I suffered through hours of this guy's comedic routines beside her has severely swayed my opinion against him.
- Built4JerzyLinx, on 03/24/2009, -8/+172I really don't think about Dane Cook enough to love or hate him. I'd classify my feelings toward him as begrudged indifference.

- smedrick, on 03/24/2009, -24/+179This stupid blog is much worse than Dane Cook.
- brendonsmall, on 03/24/2009, -4/+153exactly. We can call him what we want, but he has the last laugh...even if it's a forced and awkwardly loud one.
- DeadManWalking, on 03/24/2009, -19/+139Really? Front page? This?
- fucayama, on 03/24/2009, -18/+138Hating Dane Cook never goes out of fashion, it's the new black.
- CurlyMike139125, on 03/24/2009, -0/+88Dane Cook is the guy at a party who can tell a story and make people laugh in the way he tells it. He's not awful, and people bawww way too much about their dislike for him. There're much worse comedians.. Mencia, anyone?
- repmekevets, on 03/24/2009, -5/+83and here i thought there might be a funny article to go with the title. bummer.
- ironiridis, on 03/24/2009, -3/+81At least you're honest. Hey, stand up for what you like and what you believe in. Not everyone on Digg is a conformist.
- shiddysmurf, on 03/24/2009, -0/+78My friend offered me a frozen banana, I said no........ But I would like a regular banana later, so yeah.
- CCunitz, on 03/24/2009, -3/+76Here here!
And props to you for giving props to the original author, sir! - GreasyWalrus, on 03/24/2009, -3/+76I love Louis C.K.
- DforSpiD, on 03/24/2009, -4/+71***** off, we know it's you Dane...

“An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You would never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience.” - bryano, on 03/24/2009, -9/+75Hating Dane Cook = instaDigg
- andyb747, on 03/24/2009, -0/+66Happy 15th Birthday!
- Trekhawk, on 03/24/2009, -17/+81There is no God when George Carlin is dead and Dane Cook, Carlos Mencia, and Larry the Cable Guy are still running around.
- FUR10N, on 03/24/2009, -98/+157I like Dane Cook, I know that nobody on Digg likes him and that I'm going to get burried, but I'm not a sheep like the rest of you guys.
- gllopc, on 03/24/2009, -10/+63I think part of the problem is that Dane Cook doesn't tell jokes, but instead tells stories "in a funny way", ala Bill Cosby, Bill Hicks and Richard Pryor. His delivery of a funny situation is what made him popular, not a specific joke with a punch-line.
That said - I think he tells those stories in an interesting manner, but the overall douche'ness of his attitude worked against him once he had fame and money. When he was just a one-off unknown poor comedian he was seen as a renegade.
Fame and fortune normally turn the public against a celebrity, even though they've never changed their act. - mogwaiinjustice, on 03/24/2009, -1/+48Keanu was great in Bill & Ted.

- mrgreenjeans, on 03/24/2009, -1/+41He's an ass-clown.
- zardoz73, on 03/24/2009, -10/+50Also, I didn't really know what to think of Dane Cook until I saw this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWZ59qIwXGY&fea ...
I mean, that's the punchline? Really? It's the kind of sermon you would hear from a minimally intelligent pastor at a Bible Camp. - AYOTTERIOT, on 03/24/2009, -13/+53buried not for dane cook love, but for the claim that you're "not a sheep"
- onlines, on 03/24/2009, -5/+42No, President Obama is.
- inactive, on 03/24/2009, -9/+46I'm going to digg you up just to spite you and your like of Dane Cook.
- Jersey2FL, on 03/24/2009, -14/+50Dane Cook used to be funny. But now all you hear are girls screaming from an over sized crowd. Never do stand-up in the round.
- Krysis, on 03/24/2009, -0/+35"I was walking down the street with with my friend when he said "I hear music."
As if there's any other way you can take it in." - 8bitflu, on 03/24/2009, -0/+35awkward...
- rwiggum, on 03/24/2009, -7/+42You're a moron. The decent, hilarious comics work on bits for YEARS to get them to the point where they feel comfortable, and Cook steals them. He didn't put time into developing them, they aren't personal. All good comedy reflects the psyche of the person who created it. It lives and dies on the stage with that person. Dane Cook has no personal investment in any of the bits he has stolen, and it rings all the more false because of it. For you to say "Who gives a *****? It makes me laugh!" proves that you're a moron who sees comedy not as an art form that works as a collaboration between the comedian and the audience, but something to do on a Friday night. The comedian is a clown there to entertain you, and you have no responsibility to invest anything in it.
You are a self-righteous moron with no appreciation for creative entertainment. - PistolFred, on 03/24/2009, -13/+48I wasn't going to digg you down and wouldn't just because you like something I don't.
Then you called me a sheep. Why am I a sheep because I don't like Dane Cook? I saw him a few times before he got big (on tv). Didn't like him then either. It's got nothing to do with how many people like him or not. Humping stools and running around just isn't funny.
You earned your digg down. - MicrosoftBob, on 03/24/2009, -0/+34Great video (except for the jackass who wouldn't get off the ***** stage).
- j0hnglist, on 03/24/2009, -2/+35or maybe one was born WAY before the others
- Lunacy182, on 03/24/2009, -15/+47I hate Dane Cook too, Am I cool now?
- Coffeedemon, on 03/24/2009, -6/+37And yet he, Bill Hicks and George Carlin all lie in the cold ground while this clown walks the earth.
- fjsferreira, on 03/24/2009, -9/+38Who's this *****? He's confined to USA success isn't he?
- psteve4, on 03/24/2009, -0/+27Yeah, I would admit he isn't the funniest guy out there but he is a good story teller and sometimes I would rather just hear a goofy story than some comedian bitching about politics. His stuff is so popular because you don't have to go and think about the stuff he says, you can just chuckle and then go home and sometimes thats all you really want. Personally I'm tired of some of the comedians that started out great and now they get an HBO special and it is an hour of preaching.
- merbot, on 03/24/2009, -5/+32Did you ever stick it in her butt and if so please tell me your secret
- comment23, on 03/24/2009, -27/+54The most honest story on Digg ever.
