- ileftfark, on 07/16/2009, -7/+381What an idiot! This guy is clearly confused about the difference between "fact" and "opinion".
- Homerr, on 07/16/2009, -4/+187I agree with the truck owner.
- Atario, on 07/16/2009, -2/+160Clearly, they nickel-and-dimed him to death with bogus fees and now he can't afford it.
- inactive, on 07/16/2009, -4/+140You mean the bank?
- paperclipsNsoup, on 07/16/2009, -1/+126I had a CC with BOA, I called to pay off the balance (some $1300) from my checking account. They charged my Savings account, which over drafted that account and the balance went onto my credit card. They charged me some $200 overdraft fee. I called and they denied any wrong doing, giving me some ***** that I gave them the wrong account.
After raising ***** I got them to drop the fee (b/c they couldn't prove which account I requested b/c they didn't have a recording of the call). In that same call, I told them to pay off the credit card from my checking. They charged my savings again!!!
I called them, raised *****, and this time the refused to refund the fee because it was the second time, so I told the BBB. The called me a few days later stating it must have been a miscommunication, and they would refund the overdraft fee and charge the right account.
After 2 weeks nothing happened, I called them and they denied ever saying they would take off the fees. I sent a rebuttle to the BBB saying they refused to keep to the agreement.
After about a week not hearing anything, I decided to go into the branch and raise *****. The credit card was paid off, both my accounts still had the money, and no one could tell me how the CC got paid (The branch manager was conveniently out). I closed both my accounts, took the cash and went home. I never heard anything from them since.
7 years later, I never got anything from BOA, and it never showed up on my credit.
I'm still not sure how it got paid off, or why it was never caught. - GeorgeWKush, on 07/16/2009, -21/+141In my opinion, he should have rented a real billboard.
- jer2eydevil88, on 07/16/2009, -1/+93Interesting Fun Fact: Bank of America started off life as Bank of Italy.
- asnider, on 07/16/2009, -1/+73He's got to protect himself from their lawyers.
- kitsua, on 07/16/2009, -0/+66If they can take over public space with obnoxious advertising, this guy's right on for saying something back using the same tactics.
- mjk340, on 07/16/2009, -1/+62i'll ***** you for $2.50
- EddiePotato, on 07/16/2009, -0/+59*high five*
- Zarokima, on 07/16/2009, -2/+60Bank of America can be either a collective noun, referring to the people it encompasses (example usage: The herd of cattle ARE all sick), or it could be used as a singular noun referring to the group as a whole (example usage: The herd of cattle IS heading to the slaughterhouse). This man employed the first usage, stating that everyone at Bank of America is a crook, rather than generalizing by saying Bank of America is a thieving corporation.
- KooperG, on 07/16/2009, -0/+38you lucky bastard :P
- aquafire, on 07/16/2009, -1/+38IMO you get more viewers by driving a billboard around.
- BoneStamp, on 07/16/2009, -3/+37When my rental car got a massive chip in the windshield, I called BoA since they have rental car insurance when you use your card... they paid the $900 charge without hassle. I have nothing bad to say about BoA. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if they screwed this guy.
- Rockonthelawn, on 07/17/2009, -0/+27They probably took the money from someone else's account.
- EddiePotato, on 07/16/2009, -9/+33In my opinion, "Bank of America" is singular, not plural.
They could have said, "Bank of America is a criminal organization" or "Bank of America is run by crooks", but instead they decided to advertise their lack of education to the world.
Is we learning? - bewareofthecow, on 07/16/2009, -1/+23I see what you did there.
- sv650touring, on 07/16/2009, -2/+24He's either an American who talks funny, or a Brit who drives a strange car.
- SavingsJockey, on 07/16/2009, -6/+26He might be doing better financially if he wasn't getting 7mpg.
- assasinine, on 07/16/2009, -0/+20I'd counter your statement by saying he possibly uses his truck for work, but the fact that his bed is is taken up by a giant ***** billboard says otherwise.
- McGrude, on 07/16/2009, -4/+23If by "Bank of America" he is referring to the group of people that work there, then "are" is correct. if he is referring to "Bank of America" as a single entity then "is" would be the correct one.
- XBebop, on 07/16/2009, -1/+20Actually, "Bank of America is full of crooks" would be much better.
- PlanckTime, on 07/16/2009, -1/+19And thus we see the reason our country is where it is in a nutshell.
- theartfuldodgr, on 07/16/2009, -0/+18Local savings banks and credit unions all the way. No hidden charges at all, more personable service, and usually better rates. Big corporate banks suck.
- inactive, on 07/16/2009, -3/+21Hello sir, i am the gentleman who took your call at Bank of America, I am now tracking you down and charging you for the $1300 that you did not pay.
- RealmDown, on 07/16/2009, -0/+16And now we know the quadrillion dollar mistake wasn't programming, it was just put into the wrong account.
- zinkyu, on 07/16/2009, -0/+16Congratulations! You have missed the point!
- TheRealHonkHonk, on 07/16/2009, -13/+29Bank of America IS A Crook
- sunsetprojects, on 07/16/2009, -2/+18Sorry but it's a fact that they are crooks.
- backflipper, on 07/16/2009, -1/+16While I agree, and have always been driven crazy by the pluralization of a single company, it is acceptable grammar in some countries (UK I believe). It just doesn't sound right to me.
- ci5ic, on 07/16/2009, -1/+15Dugg for truthiness!
- tEhKewleSt, on 07/16/2009, -0/+14Let me google that for you!
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=did+bank+of+america+start+off ... - Lane, on 07/16/2009, -0/+13digg says it's a person, that's a 50/50 chance diggers!
- touchinmyself, on 07/16/2009, -3/+16If the trucks not parked in a bank of america lot hes a pussy.
- thejackyl, on 07/17/2009, -0/+12I think that's pretty unfair to crooks.
- jattea, on 07/16/2009, -1/+13I've been eating chinese food from Golden 1 Kitchen since 2003.
- iskin, on 07/17/2009, -1/+13No, but if a bank loses $200 and then I wind up with overdraft fees, I shouldn't have to pay those overdraft fees. BofA also has a ***** practice of losing transactions for a month on the online banking. Why do they charge for a broken service? No other bank is as incompetent as they are and they expect you to pay extra for it because they are the largest bank.
***** BANK OF AMERICA IN THE NECK WITH A RUSTY SPORK AND ***** ON THEIR GRAVE! - dse78759, on 07/16/2009, -11/+22Look at that- an extended cab AND a bed box.
He really needs a car, he really wants a car, but he can't be seen in Texas or Oklahoma driving anything but a truck.
And he vents his frustration at the world... - hawksfan03, on 07/17/2009, -0/+11when you get punk'd isn't it usually funny?
- virtorio, on 07/16/2009, -0/+11Behold the Truck of Accuracy.
- DefianceOhioFan, on 07/16/2009, -0/+10Wow jrm125... way to go...
- elhaf, on 07/16/2009, -1/+11That was one upgrade path. BofA has existed since the 80's, long before NCNB became NationsBank.
- inactive, on 07/16/2009, -1/+9OMG a two word phrase in which one word has 7 letters; HE'S TOO ***** SMART LETS CALL HIM A NERD!
- virtorio, on 07/16/2009, -0/+8If your money is speaking to you seek professional help.
- daschupa, on 07/16/2009, -0/+7Wow, never thought I'd hear that on Digg.
- piper999, on 07/17/2009, -0/+7I think I would be "working with" the ***** FBI if my bank stole 12 grand off me.
- notruth, on 07/16/2009, -1/+7It's not technically the customer service that is the problem. Do you keep up w/ economics and government?
- EricAnderton, on 07/16/2009, -0/+6I think I've heard of them. Weren't they an insurance and business protection outfit?
- Atario, on 07/17/2009, -0/+6Incompetence giveth, and incompetence taketh away.
