  • rootnik, on 09/18/2008, -0/+8The major problem with the approval system is not the approval of new apps, it is the amount of time it takes to approve updates for current apps.

    Apple's latest update (2.1) broke quite a few apps without warning to the developers. When those developers update their apps to make them work with apple's own system update it takes as long as a week to get those apps approved. Meanwhile you have end users who are upset with developers over delays that they have no control over.

    For the first week, i thought the App Store was pretty cool. Now it actually angers me to have to scroll past dozens of Apps that actually mimic out of the box functionality. Like Gm7Cadd9's favourite, the Tip Calculators.

    My Favourite is the people who comment on the lame GPS tracking Apps and say something along the lines of: "I wish this would show my location on a map, so I could email it to my friends!!"
    Hey newb, use Google Maps, screenshot it with the built-in screenshot (Home+Lock Button) and send that pic to your friend.
