- EterneSeeker, on 10/12/2007, -4/+91No wonder its so easy to rob places. Even with just a stocking over his head this guy managed to scare off virtually everyone he came across.
- VPurpmalkV, on 10/12/2007, -4/+66"WHAT THE HELL!"
Ha. That's great!! - Anth741, on 10/12/2007, -3/+57Am i the only person who noticed the first frame said "working out jerking off"?
- kingkilr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+52I think I'm gonna try that, but in Best Buy, CIrcuit City, and CompUSA.
- SeanMoney, on 10/12/2007, -1/+51good luck w/that be sure to get it on video and post it.
- Aelbric, on 10/12/2007, -5/+53Stupid. I wanna see him walk into a gun shop like that.
- DPowers08, on 10/12/2007, -1/+47Why does no one question the camera following him around? Most robbers are caught by surveillance tapes, not their own camera crew.
- ziks, on 10/12/2007, -2/+48friend18: "That's actually really dangerous. Someone might shoot you thinking your a robber. I'm America atleast."
It's not that dangerous in Australia. People don't have guns. - friend18, on 10/12/2007, -5/+34That's actually really dangerous. Someone might shoot you thinking your a robber. I'm America atleast. Dangerous, yet hilariously funny.
- halavais, on 10/12/2007, -4/+32There are actually very few US states in which it is a crime to wear a mask in public, a legacy of the KKK.
- CPickler, on 10/12/2007, -2/+29good luck, but I imagine you'll get the cops called on you.
- bewebste, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26"But I just want some noodles!"
- meishme, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25Maybe the cameraman was wearing a stocking too...
- thebru, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24Maybe the cameraman was the one with the gun?
- theexpress, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21I have always wanted to try doing that with pantyhose or a black mask, and after seeing him, it is every bit as funny as I thought it would be.
- iliketurtles2, on 11/20/2008, -0/+21I bought a 'Armed Robber' ski-style mask from a Army Surplus store when I was about 14. I had no shame wearing it on the way home on the Metro, sitting by the window and waving at people on opposite platforms and other trains. I can't imagine what would happen if I did that (even quite innocently) today after the London bombings.
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23No, nobody else thought that. Sorry, that was just you.
- HP844182, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23Good way to get yourself shot.
My friend went into a convenience store with masks and got their asses beat lol. - Rochmndx, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23ROFLOL... priceless. Much better than yesterday's video of some airhead who put lunch meat in his CD player.
- Jolene, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19@Seumas:
Would you mind posting some of these laws? Cause last I heard, it was ok for people to ware masks for oh Halloween, skiing, waring a full faced motorcycle helmet.... But hey... I could be wrong... Its not like those bikers NEED their faces... - CPickler, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21Yeah it is an awesome idea. The only problem is here in the States you could still be guilty of a crime. It is along similair lines to shouting Fire in a movie theatre. Still an awesome video.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20that was terrible
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19No kidding. I thought Austrailians were tough? All these people just ran like pussies.
- TheNik, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19You can't shoot someone because they are wearing a mask.
- Exvin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16In most European countries, and I assume that Australia isn't that different, it's rare for anyone to own a gun, let alone actually carry it with them throughout the day. Additionally, it would also be quite hard to claim that you were justified in shooting a man, who by the looks of it wasn't armed at all. America is pretty much the only country -- that I know of -- where you could, for example, shoot a thief on your property and get off practically scott-free; whereas in the Netherlands, for example, there is a fair possibility that you might end up in bigger trouble than the actual criminal.
- ybisme, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16its form an aussie TV show, The Chasers War on everything. for more episodes stream them from the ABC's (australian) website: http://www.abc.net.au/tv/chaser/war/video/default.htm?program=chaser&pres=20060512_2200
also form the same guys CNNNN : http://www.abc.net.au/cnnnn/video/ - shitthisfook, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16That would make this video 100x better.
- JohnP, on 10/12/2007, -18/+31In the rest of the world we dont use guns in every day life....
- mrDwarfish, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15In Australia we don't go around shooting each other and shop keepers don't keep guns with them.
So no he couldn't have just been shot.
*shakes head* - Dragonspawn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13The travel agents bits were the best, loved them screaming, running away and cowering under the desks!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+21"That is great :)"
"That's good stuff!"
"That is the best thing I have seen in a long time."
Ok ok I get it, you like it. - briansorders, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16hahaha i would have been scared someone might have pulled a gun out and tried to shoot me
- benkenobi00, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Its an Australian show. Its illegal to possess a gun without getting a gun licence through a rigorous test (I think). Even people with a gun licence can't take it into their store. Usually.
- GIFF3, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12not funny anymore.
- GrimReeper, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10I love Chasers War on everything, especially that one and where he tries to catch a cab but gets in the trunk not in the passenger seat lol
- edmondsonj, on 10/12/2007, -13/+21That is the best thing I have seen in a long time.
- DasPope, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8i wore a ninja suit to circut city once
they started telling me to take the mask off
everyone had a good time though
store policy no mask - kloof, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8"Working out jerking off" is referring to the previous segment where they where paying out gym ads
"Find out why so many Australians are joining PECS City Gym the ultimate posing experience. 500 muscle singlets, 650 mirrors, NO equipment. That's right no treadmills, no machines, just a whole lot of macho strutting. We guarantee we'll make you 30% vainer in your first 3 weeks, plus 30% more sterile with a free hit of steroids on your first visit. So get up your self at PECS City. Working Out and Jerking Off."
BTW the name of the show is "The Chaser's War on Everything" - themattman, on 10/12/2007, -11/+17That is great :)
- zanelightning, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8This really is a brilliant idea; I can't believe I've never seen this done before. Simply hilarious; dugg.
- iliketurtles2, on 11/20/2008, -1/+6http://www.abc.net.au/tv/chaser/war/video/default.htm?program=chaser&pres=20060707_2200
- mdipi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"Do they even have gun shops in England (that's where this video's from I assume)"
I'm thinking from Australia from the accent, not 100% sure though. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7This is unbelievable...! How many times must you Americans be told?
1) This is Australian (and not, as some ignoramus above said, English)
2) Not all other countries have your RIDICULOUS gun laws
3) Please, stop all this 'well here in America...' crap. Sick of hearing it. - benkenobi00, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6They also did the Chaser Decides which can be found at http://abc.net.au/tv/chaser/ but it's about the Australian elections.
- spudge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Some of my buddies got arrested not too long ago for being in the wrong place at the wrong time in Ninja outfits... they made national headlines: http://www.komo4.com/news/story.asp?ID=30844
- gincarnated, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Link please!
- Obliviate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Yes it's Australian, it's a satirical comedy show called "The Chasers War on Everything". Admittedly, they often stumble when walking that very fine line, but it's all in jest, and all good humoured. An excellent social experiment really. It's not like the guy is a big, bad headed, tattooed mofo, but put a stocking on his head, and even when asking politely, well, you see what happens. And yes you can't even have a pocket knife on you in public in Australia, and gun ownership is VERY uncommon these days.
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Yeah. It was. In AUSTRALIA.
(Okay, so I live in Australia, but most diggers don't!) - Cykaos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5What state do you live in where you can shoot someone and ask questions later? Most states in the US have laws where you must be in life threatening danger before you can shoot someone. Even if someone were to really rob me and they didn't have a weapon and they weren't beating me up. I couldn't shoot them. In many states if I have a Concealed Carry permit I could get fined and lose my permit for even showing them the gun.
- Voide, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5You're an idiot
