"We don't need people reposting every piece of content from other sites that are devoted to that type of content."
uhh this is kinda what digg is for. I mean Digg doesn't host any of their own content. I know this was posted a month ago but apparently 237 people didn't get to see it in that run. It doesn't take much time to click bury or give that mouse wheel another quarter turn. Takes a lot more effort to type up a whiny post. - hspain, on 10/12/2007, -6/+25Thank you so much. Without your comment, I might have actually enjoyed that video which I had thought was new and even possibly found it funny! But thank the lord you stepped in and let everyone know you already saw it! Close one.
- gconeen, on 10/12/2007, -11/+27theres a video section of digg, if you don't like it, disable it.
- whoisKeel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Higher quality original link
http://www.oldeenglish.org/podcast/one-picture-every-day - chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13he was eating the same pizza for over 10 days.... ehhhhhhhh
- roosterjm2k2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14Palmer, Jackass...
Digg is ABOUT linking to other places. Thats why you cant write a full article..You LINK TO IT...thats how it works... - dime, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Thanks, digg police! Where would we be without you?
- inajeep, on 10/12/2007, -7/+15Didn't see it so I'm glad it hit again.
- saska, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I get that ad on every story. It isn't good placement, you just never noticed it before.
- WallyAnti, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Digg is like a true democracy as opposed to Slashdot which is more like a republic. Because of this you can expect see duplicates over and over again. This is because of the following:
1) New Digg users
2) Infrequent Digg users(people who don't watch digg 24/7)
If enough people want to see a video over and over again, how is it wrong for it to be marked popular and promoted to the front page? I see it as a great feature. If you want less duplicates (well maybe) then check out Slashdot.org or Fark.com both of which are great sites. It would be nice if duplicate or closely related articles were somehow linked together. That'd be a great feature and it would give duplicate pointers a constructive way to use their time. - cypher35, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"olde" news
tee hee - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7Is anyone else getting the AOL ad with the girls clothes randomly changing to the right of the story description? Ad placement is getting eerily good. I thought it was a thumbnail of the actual video at first.
- anotherjeff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3that girl was hot.
- mz00m, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I never noticed until this time'round that after eating too much pizza and working out to burn it off, he eats the weights then lifts pizza to burn off the weights...
Still hilarious, even months later. - milk93rd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@everyone bitching about old stuff
Just because you guys saw it long ago and weren't smart enough to post it first, don't blame someone who just found it. They obviously aren't as smart or fast or cool or handsome as you are since they find it so incredibly much later, but if you don't like it, you can always just not digg it.
Or, you know, go to netscape. Either way stfu. - nitroburn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wild: block http://dynamic.fmpub.net/
- BevansDesign, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6People are throwing around the word "hilarious" a bit too much these days. It was amusing, but not hilarious.
I wonder if maybe people just aren't getting enough comedy in their diets, so that a little humor may seem like a lot. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I object to unrestricted use of the word 'hilarious'
The phrase 'mildly amusing' word have sufficed. - chubbymidget, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Freakin' Hillarious!
Thanks for the post - Zidul, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1cool, i went back to watch it again, didnt see it the first time either :)
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone get that Youtube survey ad that, when it's closed, refreshes the page? You can close it manually, or wait a few seconds, but either way it restarts whatever video you were watching. It's a bitch
- fatas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1how does a geek like that get a hot girl like that
obviously fake, chicks will do anything to get their 15mins of Youtube fame - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Ive been following Olde english for a couple of days now, and I must say this is my favorite clip of thiers so far. Keep up the good work Olde english!
Note *(the name of the sketch group that produces these clips) - Justin6512, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2duplicate, but still funny! Dugg!
- vudicarus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4"apparently 237 people didn't get to see it in that run"
not necessarily. a good fraction of that 237 are people who dugg to bookmark for later viewing perhaps not realizing it's the same one they saw a month ago. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@wild- use Filterset.G Updater- https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1136/
It works wonders! - Mimmiroo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The thief part was the best xD
Oh and to me this video was: NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW!! >;] - Phyltre, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Go through that one frame by frame. Some of them show quite a bit of detail you miss in sequence.
- WallyAnti, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@vudicarus
That's entirely possible. However, in this case I think it doubtful since there's an image of the video just to the right of the link. In other cases I've been guilty of doing exactly what you describe. Digg should probably have some sort of alternate way to keep track of articles you want to view later as opposed to digging. Also the comments scheme, while getting better, is very bad. A better hierarchy is in order. I like slashdot's method though its far from perfect. - dep01, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1So, I don't get it... It took 5 days to hit the thief over the head?
- gushgear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Shaq Fu'ing Hilarious! Like really and truly rolling on the floor laughing my ass off.
- wild, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3anybody know the adblock filter to get rid of it?
- daybreaker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0obviously fake? ya think so? really? It comes from a freaking sketch comedy site, genius.
- stevecole, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1It could be worse -- at least they aren't using the word "hysterical" inappropriately like a great percentage of the general pop.
- shunter99, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2People use the word "hilarious" way too liberally on this site.
- nepawoods, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1so old, so lame
- rafaelcapanema, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3August 24th called. He wants his viral video back.
- short4lif2, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1yeah it wasn't quite hilaroius
- sephiroth965, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4It was on digg less than a month ago IIRC.

- xakaxunknownx, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I have a friend who showed this to me and he honestly thought it was real.
- daybreaker, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0Olde English is a hilarious group. I have been watching their site for 2 years now.
- blaghness, on 10/12/2007, -13/+7Uh. Old news, this was on the front page like 2 months ago.
