They're rigidly enslaved by the pointless whims of fashion and style, they waste time and money pursuing the societal construct of beauty, and in the end they tend to live lives empty of real understanding or the pleasures gleaned from knowledge, profound relationships, or harmony with nature.
Douchebags they may be, but remember that you're probably much more secure than they and you'll likely live a much more satisfying life. Being hard on them is easy, but in the end it's only destructive. Showing them how to live more fully and wholly is much harder but better for all.
