Frankly I think it is a shame that others have so much pre-assumption about China, much less have never even traveled there. If you research the economic development committed by that government, and take a look at the amount of people lifted out of slavery that takes place there it is absolutely amazing. I am highly offended that people use the Olympic game for their own political purposes. The real nation behing the facade is nothing like the stereo type makes it out to be. In addition, less than 1% of products made in China are recalled per year (Look it up, it's true). What about the cult calledFalun Gong? They are the Chinese equivalent of Scientology (Look this up too). The mutilation and skinning alive of dogs and cats? Do people also believe Chinese eat babies? Money spent on Chinese products is the reason why the economy is doing so well (+10% every year for the last 10 year), it is the reason why the average income (of the average Chinese) had been increasing. Purchasing goods from China is not only good for the chinese people why providing jobs, but also cheaper too.

In addition, one never knows about the safety of products one buys from them. What about the torture of Falun Gong practitioners? If only strengthens the already dangerous military. Purchasing goods from China is not only short sighted, it is unethical.
