- diamondg14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3First off, where is the drop shot! Second, Badmitton is so much fun! It is really a good workout and very competetive. Also as messed up as it was I had it first set my junior year in H.S. and got stoned before it every day. Some of the best times of my life.

- tektalk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4It's typical for everyone to call badminton a sissy sport, but when I progressed, it takes near split second timing and coordination. only a handful of people can seriously get into it, but once you do, hitting the birdie becomes an instinctive task. normally, players at that level will focus on doing trick-shots, its really fun doing trick-shots.
I actually grew extra muscles in the areas around my fore-arm, which is really freaky. But one thing I have to say to all those people who still think this is sissy is 'play against a pro first, then see if its still sissy'
I'm constantly discriminated against, because people still think its sissy, but I'm goin on a rant.

Good point.
Another reason I was rooting for them was because of the old Atari baseball game where you were the red guys and the computer was the yellow guys.
Also, the red guys were on the defensive for the most part, so they took on the "underdog" role. - Daiken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Bah, good badminton is always at that pace. Though I admit it was longer than usual, but nothing spectacular. As for badminton being serious, badminton is almost always serious unless you're part of the ignorant group of people who think "backyard badminton" is actually badminton.

- AZTriGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1In college, I remember signing up for a Badminton class as a PE elective, thinking I was going to get an easy class to coast through. Man, was I wrong, we didn't play this intense but it was certainly along these lines. And way different than the casual backyard style that I was initially expecting. There's not much that's more embarrassing than throwing out your shoulder trying to do an overhand clear shot, baseline to baseline.

I always thought that was mildly amusing. But then all the girls walk around wearing "I Love The *****" shorts and T-shirts, and even dudes have hats and shirts that say "*****" in huge block letters. Our mascot is named "Cocky."
