- BlockedUser, on 08/13/2008, -0/+22He looks so graceful...
- Hockey13, on 08/13/2008, -1/+15Not entirely sure how they would test the tensile strength of a chair by having a fat guy sit on it in a weightless environment.....but that nerdiness aside, funny video!
- IphtashuFitz, on 08/14/2008, -0/+11He looks a lot like all those fat folks on the luxury ship in Wall-E.
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -0/+10You know it's a joke..right?
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -0/+10The Onion is 100% real fake news.
- diespectra, on 08/14/2008, -2/+9If I wanted fake news, I'd go to FOX.

- wizbor, on 08/14/2008, -0/+6Would have made a great SLN skit with John Candy, nice work Onion.
- diemunkiesdie, on 08/14/2008, -1/+6Hey fatty! You got to go into space! You got to do the easy stuff, sitting in chairs and eating! Why are you complaining?
- BXRWXR, on 08/14/2008, -0/+5Mass is not the same as weight.
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -0/+4woosh!

- IphtashuFitz, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2Technically it's a microgravity environment. If he's big enough they should be able to measure the effect!
- jaybol, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2i see blue, and he's glorious!
- IphtashuFitz, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2More importantly, would Dominos Pizza be able to deliver enough pizzas into space to reach that weight?
- xurvis, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2Dugg for all us fat guys who wanted to be astronauts and then realized we were too fat
:-( *remembers 3rd grade gym class... - h3lx, on 08/14/2008, -0/+2Everyday content on the Onion remains consistently funny... Why did the movie sucks so much ass?
- bjs3171, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1I didn't realize NASA Control hired Kermit Theee Frog. No work after the last Muppets movie? Well there aint no rainbows in space, frog boy!
- WackyWorld, on 08/17/2008, -0/+1Its the Onion.
Credible as they come. - savethemooses, on 08/17/2008, -0/+1Except on SNL, John Candy wouldn't have done anything, because he was never on SNL, you ***** idiots.
- kwasmosis, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1According to this clip...
Yes. - WackyWorld, on 08/17/2008, -0/+1I bet he bounces better than the others
- TVarmy, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1http://www.theonion.com/content/video/chef_cooks_d ...
The research project that got him into space. - emecks, on 08/14/2008, -1/+2It could be worse, they could be using him as a power plant ;)
- ASSASSYN360, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1This Astronauts flight will give hope to many big boned, chubby, obese, fat, thunder thighs, double chin, jello butt, bubble gut, big ass, fat ass, horizontal focused, donut chompers, and "I am retaining water people" whom aspire to reach such a level of distinction and honor.
- diceau, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1I read it once ... 1 second later thought, "wait ..."
Good old onion. - CVL4317, on 08/14/2008, -2/+3Can fat people... fly?
- azAZ09, on 08/16/2008, -0/+1actually it looks like he lost weight.

- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -1/+1A little too much effort put into wasting people's time. Thanks for nothing.
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -0/+0BlOB?
- johnomaz, on 08/14/2008, -1/+1Dugg for fat man jokes.
- Acorn47, on 08/17/2008, -0/+0HA! HA! funny stuff!
- bjs3171, on 08/14/2008, -1/+1except on snl, it would have gone on for another 5 minutes, and resorted to Candy actually eating all the food out of spite. and then probably throwing it up.
- Hetman, on 08/14/2008, -1/+1That was kind of funny not the best onion article but allright. But the real question is how fat can a person get in space. I think the fatest person in the world is over 1000 pounds. You would think with zero gravity you could probably double that. But could someone actually live and be that fat?
- mysn239, on 08/14/2008, -1/+1The guy he's talking to has a great singing voice
- richmondphotog, on 08/14/2008, -4/+3yes, yes, the onion, i get it but how much does it cost to a get a pound of stuff into space? I guess I should google it. then why am I still typing? stop it. stop it. outer----space. don't hit save comment.
- iFrix, on 08/14/2008, -10/+2Wait i'm confused.... Is this ***** for real or just a really wel made fun video?
- tmacfan123, on 08/14/2008, -15/+3wtf is wrong with this guy. I would think he would love this because he gets to feel weightless here so as long as he doesn't look in a mirror he can act like he's fit for the time...enjoy it and stop complaining...
- sayoshinn, on 08/14/2008, -12/+0Dude who cares? You get to go to space...because you're fat. I repeat, YOU GET TO GO TO SPACE! Who cares why they're sending you!
