Fox seems to have a real knack for picking up the most incredible and promising shows, promoting them to the completely wrong audience, bitching that they aren't popular enough then dropping them. At least Futurama got 5 seasons, and Arrested D had time to wrap up the plot (thought the last few episodes were clearly rushed and condensed somewhat) -- but Firefly had all the potential to be the best long-running sci-fi epic since DS9, and they didn't give it more than one season!
