- oboshoe, on 02/06/2009, -0/+232I don't understand why Highway Safety Officials are trying to censor the zombie warnings.
Just yesterday I saw a sign, and sure enough I saw about two dozen zombies in orange reflective clothing destroying a perfectly fine roadway just a short distance ahead.
I sped up and then one zombie started waving a flag to get me into another lane. No doubt he wanted to trap me and eat my brain. They seem to have a base level of intelligence and have rudimentary use of basic tools.
I just floored the car. As I left the zombie zone, I was even able to run over a few zombie, making it safer for the next people who pass through. I'm kinda upset their zombie bodies scratched the hood of my car though.
In event event, the city should stop trying to censor these warnings, and should thank the hackers for making our cities safer. - Krys1987, on 02/06/2009, -0/+197Havn't any of these people ever heard the story of the boy who cried wolf, when zombies do attack everyone will just ignore the warnings!
- sjbdallas, on 02/06/2009, -2/+176Personally, I appreciate the warning.

- UselessTrivia, on 02/06/2009, -2/+37The zombie apocalypse is not a joke. Don't treat it like one.
- chanop, on 02/06/2009, -0/+34I kind of like how everyone around the country that's doing this are sticking to a theme. Makes it a little funnier to me.

- theragu40, on 02/06/2009, -0/+29You realize that running them over does nothing, right? Unless you managed to run over their heads and destroy their brains, they're still crawling around, waiting to pounce!
- simonjs, on 02/06/2009, -0/+29I knew my days spent playing Carmageddon weren't wasted.
- verysmartncool, on 02/06/2009, -2/+29Dont worry ninjas will fight them
- falser, on 02/06/2009, -1/+28If somebody programmed a sign with the lyrics to Never Gonna Give You Up, I would probably have to stop at the side of the road to laugh it out.

Sheriff: It’s probably just those punk kids again, hacking and causing mischief. Nothing to worry about, Jeb.
Jeb: Well, alright, I just worry that this could could cause an acci--
Sheriff: Jeb, look out!
Zombie: hunhhhhh *chomp chomp*
Sheriff: Jeb! Oh god! Jeb! Noooooo! *Shotgun blast* Stay away from me, you golram zombie! - VitriolAndAngst, on 02/06/2009, -5/+25At least now, people are paying attention to road signs.
Some folks need to lighten up. Nobody is going to be harmed by an incorrect road sign -- well, at least not one warning of Zombies. The really dangerous ones are those that warn of police search ahead, when they are actually sitting at the bypass.
So, it's only wrong to misinform the public, when the public competes with the Powers That Be misinforming us. - FriBear, on 02/06/2009, -0/+20I don't care if it's done been done before, I want Zombie warning signs in my town. So what the highway officials says "it's bad", as long as the hackers aren't replacing any imperative information for the drivers that may need it at the time. I'm sure most drivers laughed at it. perhaps it brightened the end of the day of a poor cubical junky. Isn't that important too?
Anyways maybe stupid people will panic at the sight of the sign and crash their cars, thus weeding out the people who would otherwise become a Zombie in the revolution or should I say revolt. It's easy to become a Zombie once there is a few dozen of them running around. Most people are stupid when they panic, they will just let themselves be bit by carnivorous un-dead dudes. So that being said, i declare the hackers good people because they broke the law, risking themselves of potential jail time just to do this one good deed for all of us. - TheSpook, on 02/06/2009, -1/+19I want to see a sign reading, "Caution - Do not feed Pedobear."
- stuffradio, on 02/06/2009, -0/+18ZOMBIES! HACKING THE SIGNS!!!
- billwild, on 02/06/2009, -0/+16They should be angry at themselves for not doing basic security on their systems.
- coyote1284, on 02/06/2009, -1/+17GENOCIDAL LIFEIST BIGOTS! Those differently dead individuals were productive members of our society and no threat to you. Just because a few zombies have attacked us initial-lifers doesn't mean they all want to feast upon our flesh. You have been taken in by the anti-paraliving propaganda of Lifeists like George Romero and Max Brooks. ALL life is sacred, and even though the laws don't say so yet, you are a murderer!
- Tbyrd073, on 02/06/2009, -0/+16@theragu40: well the next people to go through the area can hit their heads as they are now closer to the ground.
- inactive, on 02/06/2009, -0/+15Good thing that it's not one of your hobbies, you'd write the most confusing sign ever
- rhythmicdevil, on 02/06/2009, -1/+15"Officials in Illinois are concerned the rewritten signs distract motorists from heeding legitimate hazards down the road. The hacked sign on Tuesday originally warned drivers of crews replacing guardrails. "
But its ok to have giant animated bill boards. - duke_nate, on 02/06/2009, -1/+14you ALWAYS take Zombie Warnings seriously!
(Its still early and I apparently dont know how to use the reply button!) - dygel, on 02/06/2009, -1/+12"And highway safety officials aren't amused."
Security experts have been saying for years that these things are easily hacked. That's what you GET when you don't listen to security experts. - asnider, on 02/06/2009, -0/+10Robots.
- stellamaris, on 02/06/2009, -2/+12This is gonna cause "boy who cried wolf" syndrome. What's gonna happen when zombies really do attack, and then people drive straight in to a zombie hoard? I personally think this should stop. By now, it's unoriginal anyway.
- CarStan, on 02/06/2009, -1/+11***** YOU, SIR!
i was on a not-losing streak until now. - napalm21, on 02/06/2009, -0/+10Personally I can not wait for the zombie revolution, Ive already made a Lobotomizer and keep it handy!
- prometheusg, on 02/06/2009, -2/+11Yes, people can be harmed by incorrect road signs. If they were putting up a new sign informing of zombie infestation, that would be funny and fine. No harm.
The problem is they are reprogramming signs that have serious information to report. Like ice on the road or lanes closed due to construction (and workers on the road). Or in the case of one of these signs, guard rails missing. There could be some serious repercussions due to removing potentially life-saving information from the road. - braja, on 02/06/2009, -7/+16This is the end of your life....
They’re out to get you
There’s demons closing in on every sight - inactive, on 02/06/2009, -0/+9I was wondering when someone would point this out
- venomoushealer, on 02/06/2009, -0/+9I really didn't want to laugh at that.... but I couldn't help myself
- tnoy, on 02/06/2009, -0/+9When the zombies take over, you'll be thankful of the warnings.
