- adraft, on 11/04/2007, -2/+99Was I the only one waiting for this guy to go "Stop. Hammer time."
Also, I watched a lot of the International Channel last year and it seems in every movie Indian women have incredibly shrill voices. What's up with that? - cobra1729, on 11/12/2007, -4/+74Just for the record: The language is not Hindi, its Tamil. The film industry is Kollywood (the Tamil film industry) and not Bollywood (the Hindi film industry).
Anyway, the song and the subtitles are hilarious. As an aside, Prabhu Deva (the dude in the song) can pull of some insane dance moves. - coolian, on 11/03/2007, -3/+59Umm...I think this was more than a decade ago dude.
- sotopheavy, on 11/14/2007, -0/+49"Spellbinding"

It's a scene from the Bollywood film Pennin Manathai Thottu. The song name is Kalluri Vaanil.
Note: Most Bollywood films contain a random cut-scene like this where everyone dances :D - nooreazy, on 11/07/2007, -2/+32http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtJRNyPK-lc

- atozand1to10, on 11/07/2007, -3/+28Its not hindi. tamil or kannada maybe
- NinjaPig, on 11/12/2007, -0/+24That's not TELUGU and Drohi if it was your mother tongue you'd know that?
That's TAMIL. AND HOLY *****, I have no idea how the freak incident of all the lyrics have matching phonetics in english. Wow. - Dissonance, on 11/12/2007, -2/+26Yup this clip is from a movie that was shot in the late 90s, released in 2000. So about 7 years old. Plus this clip is meant to be somewhat humorous and flippant.
Also it is not a hindi movie, but one of the south indian languages (tamil or telugu perhaps). Those movies tend to have smaller budgets. - AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -4/+27Am I the only one who finds the main female in this video attractive? .. I sure as hell hope not.
- dragazis, on 11/04/2007, -5/+28Who put the goat in there!
- timdafweak, on 11/03/2007, -3/+23HILARIOUS, I showed it to an Indian friend, who couldn't stop laughing... she says it is Telegoo or some language that sounds like that. Definitely not Hindi.
- JlmAWP, on 11/03/2007, -29/+48Awww....India is going through it's "I'm a Barbie Girl" music phase. Only a decade behind now...I'm actually impressed.
- arjung, on 11/03/2007, -0/+19it's the same 2 or 3 women who sing the songs on every movie (none of the actresses sing, usually). and all of the singers are older than 60 or less than 20.
- coolian, on 11/03/2007, -3/+22Check this out as an example of music phase in 2007: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyE2eq3Mx6o
- Akronos, on 11/03/2007, -3/+20It's Tamil. I would know considering my family is from there.

BeeeeeJaaaaay! - headband, on 11/04/2007, -2/+19english duh
- d3vmax, on 11/05/2007, -4/+19Yeap not Hindi it is in Tamil or Malyalam, both are south Indian languages and they still make movies like these where the songs look silly and the fighting scenes are speed up to 1.5X as to make it look like the hero is a superhuman.
India has Bollywood (Hindi, HQ in Bombay) which is the main film industry and thankfully doesn't make songs like these anymore but various other regions have their own film industries based on their respective languages. Each state in India has its own language and culture. (Much like Europe unified into one single country but then you wouldn't or cannot make out the difference right? ) - sotopheavy, on 11/03/2007, -1/+16Now poop on them Oliver!
OOOO

- mythin, on 11/04/2007, -1/+9Its tamil.
- Sabretou, on 11/07/2007, -2/+9Actually, rap and hip-hop has pervaded India and has given birth to an ugly bastard child with Bhangra.
- inactive, on 11/03/2007, -2/+9that was funny. the lyrics and the song were dead on (for the most part).
- livejamie, on 11/04/2007, -0/+6wow, break is pretty racist
i say more power to anybody who wants to dance and sing like that.. lol, he's way cooler than any of us will ever be ;) - xOpifex, on 11/07/2007, -0/+6I came in here expecting Indian thriller, thanks for not disappointing!
- Ubermann, on 11/06/2007, -4/+10You need a bun to bite Benny Lava!
- aurorion, on 11/03/2007, -1/+7It's not Bollywood. Bollywood is the name used to refer to the Hindi film industry based in Mumbai(Bombay). This is a video from a Tamil movie, and the Tamil movie industry has no connection with the Hindi movie industry.
- Alphonze, on 11/03/2007, -1/+7ooooo i could only imagine how fun it would be to make a video like this! anyone else game???
- Kamera82, on 11/03/2007, -0/+6Its tamil. Spoken in parts of southern India and Sri Lanka.
- ucg1, on 11/03/2007, -1/+7It's been a while since I've watched a lot of Indian movies. Most of the movies I watched were classic Hindi films. But most of the story lines were tragic stories with people dying. If there was a love story, one of them is going to die. I have seen some recent movies, so I'm just going off of the few that I've seen.
Some of the more recent films I've seen deal with topics like arranged marriage (boy is arranged to marry girl, but falls in love with another girl), cultural clashes when immigrating to another country, the harsh division of classes, etc. There are probably a ton of cheesy bad movies that make me wish I had the 2-3 hours of my life back, but I've seen a few movies that are actually quite interesting and full of social commentary. Sure, there might be a love story thrown in, but most movies in general have that. And there is a lot social commentary surrounding the concept of "love" as it relates to Indian culture. Remember, this is a culture that traditionally arranges marriage and expects learning to love your partner, not falling in love in order to choose your partner. - tyywebb, on 11/11/2007, -0/+6Don't worry I submitted it a loooooong time ago and got nothin.
- ametory, on 11/01/2007, -0/+6this video is a decade old..Welcome to the internet, see things late and claim they look old...captain obvious.
- theforrester, on 11/04/2007, -0/+5I don't get it..I have submitted this video to Digg along with a milllion other users I'm sure, then "HydroSliders" here comes along and all of a sudden it's "popular". This annoys me! (No offense HydroSliders - it's not you it's the game)
