- Unr3a1, on 10/12/2007, -4/+28I want to kill that disney voiceover guy.
- Phyltre, on 10/12/2007, -4/+25Ironic--I'd kill for his voice, since he probably never does what you or I would call "work." He just speaks into an expensive microphone, in a sound and environment-controlled room, and the money rolls. He doesn't even have to tour to make money!
- LucasVB, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3Just try to imagine having to deal with that guy in real life... Must be such a pain.
- gcnaddict, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4Don LaFontaine for the win!
Disney guy for the lose!
...ehh, they all do their job right anyway, so I guess I probably couldn't care less. - Jrr6415sun, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7they get paid atleast $150,000 per 30min that they do... doing atleast 4 per day. I would love to be these guys
- secretivecoward, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9I know from experience voiceover work is very tedious work. They deserve every penny.
- roadtrippy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Since this is all about the voiceover guys, I thought I'd throw in the GEICO commericoal LaFontaine did. Has to be one of my favorite commericials.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZJMGS7l0wT8 - jbno, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Judging by how much other people make for doing far more "tedious" work, including work that is far more hazardous to your health, I'd say they should feel very lucky to get paid $150,000/yr. But then who actually believes the so-called "free market" is free or fair?
- tdowling, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"voiceover work is very tedious work. They deserve every penny."
And here I've always thought that hard work and ingenuity and such are what deserve compensation. Damn it, now I need to go find a marble-sorting job or something! - MrTea, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Record him saying some profanit first please.
- theman8631, on 10/12/2007, -18/+4In general I am usually against mentioning front page dups but this was pretty darn recent.
- arusso, on 10/12/2007, -18/+1I want to kill all 5 of them...
- flamingmb, on 10/12/2007, -13/+5Its also pretty damn old.
- JSatt, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4old but still pretty funny
- Robomonkey, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Hahaha. That was pretty sweet.
- Satanael, on 10/12/2007, -13/+4I was waiting for a punch line....
Then the video ended.- VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I would say the punchline is the driver cleaning up all the money in the back seat.
- juanbobo808, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22Awesome, to put faces to those voices is really cool.
- lbjazz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+29Man, their voices got destroyed in the compression.
- jayteeta, on 10/12/2007, -17/+1LoL, length of video 4:20
- RichPowers, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5ahahah that was awesome. I wish I had a dramatic voice like that
- gxcdesign, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2lol f'n hilarious
I wish you could pay themt os ay whatever you want - airencracken, on 10/12/2007, -15/+2ROFLCOPTER! That's great. Funny as *****.
- CJz44, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7***** is funny?
- VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+26These guys must be the kings of talking dirty to their wives/girlfriends.
- Mousse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24Maybe not the Disney voiceover guy...
- Drull, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Does anyone have a better quality version of this linked somewheres? It sounds like it was recorded over a walkie-talkie because of the compression.
I'd like to hear them in an arguement.- MScrip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The original videoclip is on Don LaFontaine's website... it might sound a little bit better...
http://www.donlafontaine.com/video/5men.html - TheGuy20, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Actually it doesn't sound better. But this one does http://www.voiceoverresourceguide.com/media/5guys.html

- 0101010, on 10/12/2007, -12/+0hahaha everyones comments are getting dugg down on here
- Halifax1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9No, it's just people who use "ROFLCOPTER!" which is ***** retarded.
The compression ruined this.
- Halifax1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9No, it's just people who use "ROFLCOPTER!" which is ***** retarded.
- Nocturnal, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Don't they use some type of software to make their voices like that? Or no?
- a99tandem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6No.
- Zipko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7That video was great when they used it to open the Oscars. Being friends with one of those guys is probably better than having your own theme song, you could have any kind of entrance you want when you walk into a room.
- Nocturnal, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2The thing is, I often hear that same type of voice on radio stations. I have a feeling that they do not actually all go through one guy but rather there is software that will help to change your voice into that type of voice. I may be wrong but if anyone works for an actual radio station as a production guy or maybe even a DJ, they could clarify?

Wrong. It's Don's real voice. He uses a nice condenser mic, a good preamp. That's it. Down the line they will compress (analogue compression ie: limiting), eq (maybe) and the voicetrack is flown into the mix, then the master goes through more compression and possessing at the TV or radio station.

- TheWriteGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7These guys are so great and recognizable with their voices that they've created the "movie trailer announcer" cliche.
I wonder if there are any female voice-over artists whose voices would be just as recognizable. - DirkBelig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Cute, but the audio is too FUBARed to be as effective as it should be.
- AnotherBrian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Now if only that limo had exploded. :(
I HATE movie voice overs, they are just behind that retarded 'smiling bob' in making me want to put my fist through a speaker. - ProfessorRiffs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All I can really say is thank god for this. Seriously.
- Splitter402, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2This is....incredibly old.
- tmpoirier, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That was fun
- meekar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That was awesome.
- masterkenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I just posted a higher quality version of it (audio, at least)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQRtuxdfQHw- anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1How do you post a higher quality version of a lower quality file? Just wondering.
- CoSMoSYS, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I know I'll probably get dugg down but,
Way to go ass, http://digg.com/videos_comedy/In_a_World_The_Five_Voices_You_Hear_on_Movie_Trailers_in_One_Limo- SeriesOfTubes, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4As if it's his fault yours didn't make it? Maybe you posted at the wrong time of day or wrong time off the week, or your title wasn't as interesting, or who knows what? But yours obviously didn't make it, and his did. No need to cry about it.
- CoSMoSYS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1He knew it was a duplicate, the system checks for it at least twice during the submit. If he wants to piggyback stories off people that have already posted it, you have all the right in the world, more power to you. Though it doesn't make you any less of a douche.
- zelig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This clip is so old, most of those guys aren't even the hot voices anymore. Two have retired.
- Pignanelli, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I would love to see these guys in a gravitas-off !
- Megladon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I never seen it before, I liked it.
- Coppertop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's just a shame they didn't include Hal Douglas. His name was mentioned, but they replaced him with Al Chuck. Hal Douglas was this guy: http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/comedian.html - how can you say no?
- airsmurf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That may be my all-time favorite movie trailer. And if you're asking yourself "where have I heard that guy's voice before," here you go: http://www.cedpromos.com/PromoTrailerAudio%5CDouglas,%20Hal-Promo.mp3
- mikeazorin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So, do they smoke heavily?
