Admittedly, it's in the incoherent ***** seventh book that reads like fanfiction of itself for the most part. You can suggest Voldemort is Hitler and you won't be too out of bounds. Fantasy serves as allegory a lot. But the real nazi analogue in the HP world is the vaguely foreign dark wizard Grindelwald who:
A.) led an upheaval that struck all of Europe but left England a bit better off and was defeated in 1945
B.) rallied his forces with a symbol appropriated from an older religion which subsequently became a symbol of fear and hatred regardless of its earlier connotations
C.) Was dreadfully charismatic and led even good people astray with his promises of fixing the world and restoring them to former glory
I could go on, but I really don't need to. The whole "look, real horrific tragedies plus magic!" thing has been pretty prevalent since the third book or so, which is about when they stopped being a bunch of pretty okay kids' books and started being an incomprehensible phenomenon.
Also, yes, there are nerdy girls in the world. A lot of them.
