  • pingudownunder, on 11/20/2008, -1/+5yeah why is Germany weird? There's weird ***** in every country (for example pretty much anything in the central US) . Germany is to be applauded for many things, in particular BMWs, Mercedes and Oktoberfest.

    (FWIW - i was born in the UK).

  • lowdose, on 11/20/2008, -0/+4yeah a phallic symbol is just a cylinder. They ARE everywhere. Trees, sign posts, light posts, columns, 2x4 lumber used in building houses. Any time you need to put something vertical it is convenient to build a narrow support. Nature does this with trees and other plants. Phallic symbols are a social construct, the symbolism only exists inside the heads of those who assign such a meaning.
