Really? Does it really have to be all about the money? Just take a reasonable amount and be a Bond Villain for the sake of it, you're *****' Sean Connery...-
If your a legend in your field of work - would you take less than you want. He is pretty old now aswell.
I think he would make a good choice for a Bond character of the future. We have seen Daniel Craig as Bond becoming Bond, how about we see how he dies coming out of retirement to rescue his country. -

You should read more into Sean Connery's history with the Bond films. He was severely short-changed for most of the Bond movies.
Sure he's arrogant.. but I think it'd be awesome. He should be compensated for it, because fans would lap it up.

As a 100% heterosexual man, I can comfortably say that I love Sean Connery and I would definitely pay to see him play the villain. Can you just imagine him saying, "Welcome Mr. Bond." or something like that in his accent? Talk about good old flashbacks.

Certainly a better way of honoring a fine actor like Sean Connery than using a picture of him in a kilt.
Although, if anyone could pull it off... -
What the hell would he be called? Wrinkles? You can't have a geriatric bad guy, Bond has to almost catch him and he can run away. Unless Connery has a rocket powered wheelchair I don't think his escape would be believable. He could have a cameo sure, but not as the primary villain.

Hey yeah, dont get me wrong - I think it's awesome that he wants to be the new bond villain. I just honestly thought that I had read somewhere that he chose not to pickup some other role because he had essentially retired from acting at his age.

I think if it only took 10 million pounds to get him out of retirement, Lucas would have doubled that to get him in Indiana Jones again.....

I remember when they offered him a role in the new Indiana Jones movie and he said something like 'If anything would have brought me out of retirement it would have been an Indiana Jones movie, but retirement is too much fun'. Funny now how he wants to play new roles now.

I think it would be even better if he wasn't definitely killed, as in, we see a huge explosion where the villain's mansion is, the movie concludes, then we hear some extra mention that the villain had a secret getaway point (ala every evil villain in movies) and he's probably living it up somewhere tropical.

I'm a little sad to find out that Connery wouldn't just do it for the love of the craft. I can't imagine that he needs the money at this point.
Come to think of it, I would expect that lots of established actors would work on the cheap to become immortalized as a Bond Villain- especially now that the franchise has returned from its foray into ridiculousness.
