- okayokayokay, on 06/28/2009, -2/+90How did they manage to fit all those pictures on just one page?
- MeLikeyTacos, on 06/29/2009, -5/+92Regardless of what you might think of MJ, look at it this way...the entire WORLD is mourning the man. Even world leaders have expressed their grief. You or I could never have such an impact when we die. I haven't really liked MJ much since the 80's, but I'm still in awe of his legacy. And you have to admit, the moonwalk is one of the most badass dance moves ever. I still blast "Beat it" every now and then, playing along on my bass.
RIP Michael. - GawtMilk, on 06/29/2009, -4/+80Pretty disgusting really, if you think about the life of this man. He was abused as a kid, but overcame it and became the world's best-selling musician, inventing and popularizing a number of styles in music and dance and changing pop culture. Then some money-hungry ***** got his kid to lie about being molested by Michael, and is on record on as saying, "There's no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever. Michael's career will be over."
The allegations alone were enough for the media to pick up on it, and because Jackson was starting to show his vitiligo and was dealing with rhynoplasty from the Pepsi explosion, he looked like society's idea of a child molester (as in, ***** up and scary), which made people believe he really was one. He was creepy looking, incredibly weird, sounded like a girl, and the tabloids all had headlines proclaiming his guilt.
The stress of going through this time in his life made him not only start abusing drugs, but he started getting self conscious about his appearance. His mental abilities fell and fell because of his drug problems, and his career entered a slump which it never recovered from. This when in the early 90's, and he started cancelling tour dates.
But when that photo of him was taken in the 00's as he left the court house, he was already dead in the public's eye. The media killed him, which is why I find it so sickening that they fawn over the man now. Where was the praise when he was going through the hard times? Jackson spent the last twenty years of his life hating the media and speaking out against it, and then the ***** hypocrites rewrite history at the last minute to make everyone forget that they spent the better part of two decades paying people hundreds of thousands of dollars for unverified stories on him being a sexual predator. It's so obvious that they are only doing it to sell some more ad time, which was the exact same ***** modus operandi they used when they "covered" the "news" of his child molestation accusations. Talk about him because people are interested, not because it's factually correct or relevant to society.
I mean hell, it got so bad that La Toya was literally beaten by her husband to "confess" that he was a pedophile, that kid's parents made him lie to make a bit of money (and hell, it worked, despite being in debt prior to the controversy, the family of the 1993 trial own a mansion in Long Island, an apartment in Manhattan and property all over California from the multi-million dollar settlement). This was all done by ***** up, money-grubbing individuals to take advantage of someone who made money legitimately entertaining the public with talent that they themselves didn't have.
The best thing that could have happened to Jackson was if he died 1992. His life would have been incredible; he came from a poor black family, got over abuse from his parents, sang with his brothers and sisters in a popular band, became a break-out pop culture symbol, and then started giving back money to his community from the crazy amount he made through out his career. His dying thoughts would have been, "I really made this out of nothing".
Instead some ***** up dead beats had to put the dude through twenty years of mental turmoil and drug addiction, and his last thoughts were probably that his career had long since died, the public thought he was a joke, and that he was no better off than the day he was born. Depressing to think about.
By the way, I've made fun of Jackson through out my life (then again, I'm only 18, so it's been cool to do it all my life. I wasn't around to make fun of him in his Thriller days, where people would have asked what I had against Michael). I always told jokes that weren't politically correct about him. I know I sound like a hypocrite for going on that massive ten minute rant in his defense now, but I'm not the one who made his life hell and then glorified him when he died.
Fun fact: I know you've seen the cover for the album "Thriller". I was looking at my 33RPM record of it the other day, and if you open up album sleeve to the inside the photograph is actually a full-body spread. There's a lion cub on his knee, it's really weird. Something I never knew until I got the vinyl record. Bonus points to anyone who links a photo, I can't find one. I know the special edition re-release of the CD has the same cub in a different photo.
Edit: holy *****, when I saw how long this was, it was a real thriller. I'll beat it. Sorry that these jokes are so bad, but I can't stop.

Michael did some messed up stuff (holding a baby over a balcony, etc). But it's totally insane how the media is fawning over him now, when a week ago they'd slam the guy for any reason whatsoever.
All I know, is that he made some amazing music, and entertained me and many others. R.I.P Michael Jackson. - Chjoma10, on 06/29/2009, -3/+21BILLY MAYS HERE WITH PICTURES OF MJ FANS

***** awesome photo. Its great they are celebrating what his Micheal's life was about and being happy for it. I love the expression of the black chick "Umm, you look like an ass you know" and the white guy looks "Who gives a *****? You can't stop the moonwalkin baby!" - inactive, on 06/29/2009, -2/+16You don't need to try to shoehorn politics into every ***** story. A celebrity died, this has nothing to do with the president.

- cuoops, on 06/29/2009, -2/+15Most of you people have no idea how big MJ was/is around the world. I've worked with guys from India that can't speak any english, but can say Michael Jackson perfect. Same thing with from Africa to the Philippines.
- Sagags, on 06/29/2009, -1/+13I wonder how much money his estate has made since his death, all his songs and albums are flying off the shelfs, and err flying off the severs? Right now 8 of the top 10 songs on iTunes are MJ songs, and 7 of the top 10 albums are MJ albums.
- unic0rn, on 06/29/2009, -10/+22Well what do you expect? Actions usually define a person. It's not our fault the money got to his head. It's the sad truth, he was on a declining slope.
- defectDS, on 06/29/2009, -0/+11Yes, those women crying in the photos are the same people that were condemning him to hell during the trials. I'm sure.
/s - kalv, on 06/29/2009, -3/+13do u live in a cave?
- Sagags, on 06/29/2009, -6/+15I seriously think this is somewhat untastful, I understand it is cool to make offensive and off color jokes on digg but come on, the guy just ***** died, and it was never proven he was a pedophile.
I will not defend a child molester but this guy tons of sick kids to his house so they could have some fun, something they rarely if ever got to do, with the way todays society is it was only a mater of time someone before someone would claim he molested them to get some money. It worked the first time, the kid got 20mil, it was clear the second kid that accused him was being pushed by his mom for monetary gains.
But then again who knows what happened, you can at least show some respect for another human. BTW ***** you dumb ***** kids who are going to digg me down, maybe you will understand when you get older. - sx66gns, on 06/29/2009, -0/+8We turned him into a freak , we as in the Public.
- dawaza, on 06/29/2009, -2/+10go back to 1990.
- defectDS, on 06/29/2009, -1/+9I'm going to copy and paste my comment from above because your the 1000th idiot to say the same exact thing...
Will you stop generalizing the entire world? The same people in these pictures are the same people that were defending him during the criminal trials and the same people condemning him, like you, are the same people who were struck by the fact that he walked away legally innocent.
Sure I cracked jokes about the guy, but mourning his death now doesn't make me hypocritical. - metalgel, on 06/29/2009, -10/+17This is a bit much... seriously.
- inactive, on 06/29/2009, -6/+13I could never get so worked up about the death of a pop star, especially one as reclusive and mysterious as Michael Jackson.
- KingGorilla, on 06/29/2009, -2/+9Was it the money or all that child abuse placed on him by his dad
- Krekko, on 06/29/2009, -2/+9It is amazing to see how people all over the world are reacting. IT goes to show you how one mans legacy can transcend both generations, and continents.

I agreed with you all the way through that until you said this. You are no better than those you condemn, and you don't sound like a hypocrite, you are one. That's great if you appreciate his music, but don't sit there telling us that you didn't make his life hell then glorified him when he died. Because that's exactly what you did. By even spreading those jokes you were no better than the media outlets that bashed him, and now you try to take a stand here and absolve him of the things the media crucified him for? It's fine if you liked his music and still made fun of him, none of us are perfect, but for ***** sake... -
