  • Jennifer1, on 03/25/2009, -0/+0I knew a woman who, as she was dying of cervical cancer, set up her childrens' school plans...teachers and all....for the three years following her death. It's incredible what she did in such a short amount of time. From the moment she found out she was dying she did nothing but arrange for it in the best interest of her children. What incredible strength.
  • commanche, on 03/25/2009, -0/+0I know about this first hand, as a mother who lost a son, and a grown daughter who left us with a beautiful granddaughter. This is a club no one should ever belong to. We lost a grandson, born too soon, in Dec. 2008. It never gets easier, but time helps us cope, every new death in our family brings up the despair of the other ones not being here.
  • templeai, on 03/25/2009, -0/+0I feel the pain imagining Goody's knowledge of her soon approaching end...and having to see those two little boys every day carrying that knowledge seems like it would be almost unbearable. What a heartache. At least she had some peace knowing that her decisions in her final days would help provide for them.
