- jdel, on 03/14/2008, -40/+91This is easily 100x crazier than the Scientology video.
- GuerillaC, on 03/14/2008, -2/+71I'm not sure that's possible. Multiplying anything by Scientology just goes to infinity.
- ennTOXX, on 03/14/2008, -1/+5right you are, but this is still ***** nuts, who'da known... :||
- midhqel, on 03/14/2008, -3/+4I really just wish he and all of his fellow cult members would die.
- JerodSlay, on 03/15/2008, -0/+6It's... pshhhh... you know.... pow!..... It's rough and tumble....... I mean.... HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!.... I'm am serious!!! I am dedicated!!!!!!!!!! I'm the only one who can help!
- midhqel, on 03/14/2008, -3/+4I really just wish he and all of his fellow cult members would die.
- tyywebb, on 03/14/2008, -0/+4That man is just one zany character!
- opiniastrous, on 03/15/2008, -0/+2I think the icing on the cake is that maniacal laugh of his...
- LeeSoong, on 03/14/2008, -4/+14It looks like a fun birthday party,
more fun than the 'all you can eat pasta bar' at Eat & Park birthday party
with paper hats & gifts from the dollar store.
If havin' a good time is wrong, I don't want to be right . . . ..- JerodSlay, on 03/15/2008, -2/+2I had my 20th birthday party at Mr. Gattis. The best part was I got my whole work (law firm) to go during lunch, and the main boss paid for it. It was fun playing bumper-cars with millionaires and secretaries.
Yes I got the paper crown and got to sit at the front of the table. - Micktion, on 03/15/2008, -4/+3Yep it looked like a totally sane, normal, and ordinary way to celebrate a birthday to me. The only thing insane on that web page is the nutty anti-scientology diatribe. The stuff written on that web page definitely sounds like the rant of someone mentally unstable.
I think the only thing kookier than scientologists are anti-scientologists, I think perhaps these people are just sick of scientology stealing their nutty thunder.

- xerexes1, on 03/15/2008, -0/+8I just want to know how they managed to stack the party with so many people who as short, if not shorter, than Tom.
- Tiak, on 03/15/2008, -0/+5FTA: "six figures"
- ennTOXX, on 03/14/2008, -1/+5right you are, but this is still ***** nuts, who'da known... :||
- Augie1969, on 03/14/2008, -5/+53Um....what's with his friend with the tight white shirt???
Cruise's "buddy, perhaps"?
Not that it's wrong or anything...- Tr33fiddy, on 03/14/2008, -3/+29I was wondering which one of the audience members ended up with their fist up Tom's ass and tight&white guy has to be the front runner.
Not that it's wrong or anything.- Augie1969, on 03/14/2008, -3/+19No, the only thing wrong (aside from the Scientology thing) is him parading around pretending to be straight to sell himself to the mainstream market. His sham marriages are a joke, and so is he. I kinda feel bad for Kidman. she seemed normal before the Cruise thing. Look at her now, she just does not seem right.
He has made, literally, 2 good movies. Born on the 4th of July, and Risky Business.
God, why the hell am I talking about celebrities? /end rant- Tr33fiddy, on 03/14/2008, -3/+4Bit harsh, Jerry Maguire and The Firm were good. Other than that he's mad as a box of snakes tucked in a closet though.
- PhantomRogue, on 03/14/2008, -0/+9I think you mean the Katie Holes thing, not Nicole Kidman, Nicole Kidman is somewhat normal now that she got away from the ***** insane Cruise.
- CJUNIT, on 03/15/2008, -0/+4Guy's definitely a closet queen...
- IllBeBack, on 03/14/2008, -0/+8Fisting Tom Cruise. Thanks for that. Now I need to go rinse with Listerine to get the vomit taste to go away.
- tekano, on 03/15/2008, -0/+1or David Miscavige may have simply given Tom a 'rusty trombone'
- Augie1969, on 03/14/2008, -3/+19No, the only thing wrong (aside from the Scientology thing) is him parading around pretending to be straight to sell himself to the mainstream market. - adventchild08, on 03/14/2008, -2/+33That would be David Miscavige...the leader of scientology.
- mrbroli, on 03/14/2008, -4/+7...not that there's anything wrong with ~ screw it, that joke's old...
- zephc, on 03/14/2008, -1/+26I enjoyed his and Tom's thoroughly fake laughing and their simulation of genuine emotions.
- Th3Don, on 03/14/2008, -10/+1Scientology... not that it's wrong or anything.
- prophetpimp, on 03/14/2008, -0/+5Doesn't work on something which has a lot of wrong with it.
- baconz, on 03/14/2008, -0/+0That's one serious case of unrequited man-love.
- Tr33fiddy, on 03/14/2008, -3/+29I was wondering which one of the audience members ended up with their fist up Tom's ass and tight&white guy has to be the front runner.
- MrStabby, on 03/14/2008, -2/+11I believe pants-crapping-scary is the better term for this...
- amadeusdemarzi, on 03/14/2008, -7/+43Actually I don't know. The talk at the end has a couple bizarre comments, but honestly it looks no more than an expensive party. Heck, I have gone to karaoke drunk outta my mind and done stupider ***** on 'stage'.
Not defending Tom Cruise, I do think he is a nut job, but this video is just some people having fun (except the comments at the end).- EarlOfLade, on 03/14/2008, -3/+14Tom Cruise is ***** crazy, end of story!
- xtrench, on 03/14/2008, -2/+2True
- hifiDesign, on 03/14/2008, -5/+24Nor am I a big fan of Cruise's, either, but seriously, talk about making a mountain out of a goddamned mole hill. Dude was having fun, albeit very expensive, cheesy, tone-deaf fun. Word of advice, set your anti-Scientology sights on something worthy of righteous indignation next time, lest your angsty voices become too hoarse to be heard...
- poptic, on 03/15/2008, -0/+0"set your anti-Scientology sights on something worthy of righteous indignation next time."
tight-shirted small dude is david miscavige, tom cruise's best friend and ECCLESIASTICAL head of scientology. wtf kinda church leader throws thousands of church dollars on celebrity birthday parties?
- poptic, on 03/15/2008, -0/+0"set your anti-Scientology sights on something worthy of righteous indignation next time."
- kevxross, on 03/14/2008, -3/+6Yeah I kept waiting for the crazy part. This is embarrassing, but not really crazy.. especially with how high Tom Cruise has set the crazy bar.
- plaing, on 03/14/2008, -0/+15yeah, the weirdest thing for me is the forced over-laughing of...everyone. everyone is trying to fool everyone else into thinking they're having a great time. but unless that room has been pumped full of mind-altering substances, they're all faking it, and obviously.
- Navicerts, on 03/15/2008, -0/+5i think they are mimicking their tom
- EarlOfLade, on 03/14/2008, -3/+14Tom Cruise is ***** crazy, end of story!
- imightbewrong, on 03/14/2008, -0/+8ever, ever , ever, ever...i mean EVER!!
- prophetpimp, on 03/14/2008, -0/+4Is he a 16 year old girl?
- Micktion, on 03/15/2008, -0/+1He does the splits like one, have to hand it to him, at 50 he's doing pretty well on the dance floor.
- prophetpimp, on 03/14/2008, -0/+4Is he a 16 year old girl?
- thedogfatherx, on 03/14/2008, -1/+12He was having fun period. Be it looking and getting a creepy feeoling from it, the other movie is by far much crazier and creepy.
- IglooBurner, on 03/14/2008, -2/+11i don't really see how this is weird... he's just a birthday boy having fun... i mean its looks like one heck of a party. i'd go nuts, and dance on stage and do a couple splits too if my friends had a band and a party like this for my bday. hell i go nuts on public bar karaoke already.
i think he was crazier on his Scientology clip. - anstice85, on 03/14/2008, -0/+5Here's a MUCH better video of his dancing "skills".
http://youtube.com/watch?v=oqlyQZkq2Ug
I'm supposed to be jealous of his air motorcycle?- mchamps, on 03/14/2008, -1/+3^ that vid FTW
- marcomc2, on 03/15/2008, -0/+1Still my favourite, by far.
- mchamps, on 03/14/2008, -1/+3^ that vid FTW
- MindStalker, on 03/14/2008, -1/+5FTFA: "He is neither 2nd or 100th. Mr. Cruise is a Scientology parishioner and holds no official or unofficial position in the Church hierarchy. Claims to the contrary are offensive to both Mr. Cruise and the Church." But if Cruise was merely a humble parishioner, why in Xenu's name did the sect spend six figures to celebrate his birthday in 2004?
Well duh, if he was 2nd he would probably know its a scam. Of course he'd still be involved but he wouldn't be GIVING million to Scientology he would be receiving millions from it. Of course, yes Scientology did spend a million or so on this party, but thats nothing compared to the money he giving to them and making for them from his appearances.- opiniastrous, on 03/15/2008, -0/+2Actually, that might not be the case.
As #2, he might know deep down that the Co$ is a scam, but cannot bring himself to admit it to himself after investing so much time, energy and money into it. Basically, he might be suffering from cognitive dissonance, meaning that the conflict inherent in what he now knows to be true (that he has invested his life into a scam) is causing him to act in a way that is inconsistent with that knowledge (i.e. support the Co$ with such fervour) in order to minimise the discomfort caused by conflicting thoughts.
- opiniastrous, on 03/15/2008, -0/+2Actually, that might not be the case.
- gn0stik, on 03/14/2008, -3/+12Don't get me wrong, Tom is definitely gotten interesting lately, and all, but I didn't really see what was so crazy about this. Is it crazy to enjoy your own Birthday party? I know it's popular to critisize Tom's more than substantial share of nuttiness, but other than seeming rather bland, and overly formal, to me..... It just seemed like a live band, some videos and friends hanging out at his birthday party.... On a big boat, which, if you are rich as helll....... why not. Hell he probably bought it for them anyway... Or went halves with John Travolta.
- poptic, on 03/15/2008, -0/+0yeah, tom's interesting, but even more interesting is the little guy who leads him into the party and sits beside him during the cheesy movie tribute. that is the friggin church leader of scientology right there. his name is david miscavige and he's rich as hell too, from all the money he's reaped as leader of the church. that party was held in a scientology-owned cruise ship. what the hell kinda church owns a cruise ship? that's pretty crazy.
- leolll, on 03/14/2008, -7/+1You're right! Reminds me of the crazy jews of the 1930s. Boy they were almost as crazy as the Scientologists. I think these posters prove my point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJNAdmcRNHw
- GastonFTW, on 03/14/2008, -0/+2You're not fooling anyone buddy boy. I invite everyone to have a look at a real life Scientologist in denial, trying to paint critics of Tom Cruise with a bigoted brush. Note his digg history and its 99% emphasis on Scientology propaganda articles:
http://digg.com/users/leolll
The same is true for many other apologists in this comments area, and those that are routing this story around to insult other faiths. Just have a look at their digg history if you're skeptical of their biases.

- Rikushix, on 03/14/2008, -0/+10Scientology is scary stuff. And if scientology really did spend six figures on a party, that's kinda interesting. But beyond that, who cares, really? It's just a bunch of people having a good time.
- GastonFTW, on 03/15/2008, -0/+2I agree with you, but so goes the celebrity watching crowd.
I think a lot people are posting to bait the church into another ridiculous lawsuit, and that's alright by me. It either proves that they still sue to protect their image, or (as LA Time reported) they have effectively been reigned in for the moment by critics. Should be interesting to watch. - poptic, on 03/15/2008, -0/+0"it's just a bunch of people having a good time" on the backs and pressured donations of church members whose labour and money go into the running of the church-owned ship that this party was held in.

- blakeley, on 03/14/2008, -4/+120The worm into the splits was quite impressive!
- SamyK, on 03/14/2008, -2/+11Yeah, but the trumpeter had just gone into to a solo and Cruise pretty much stole the attention from him.
- AptToMiss, on 03/15/2008, -0/+2that's a saxophone...
- jjmckay, on 03/15/2008, -0/+1The sign of any good actor is that he/she can get attention so even when it should be elsewhere.
- FoghornLeghorn, on 03/14/2008, -0/+3Not as good as the choreographed air-guitar the back up singers are doing.
- aceakm, on 03/14/2008, -1/+2Tom may be crazy, but he can dance.
- amrom, on 03/14/2008, -2/+1Yeah, the boy can move. That worm came out of nowhere. The supposed premise of this video was meant to make Cruise look like a fool, but he came off looking cool. Was this submitted by a scientologist to make their group look good? I might be a cynical SOB, but it sure looked like that to me.
- eltrev, on 03/14/2008, -0/+7If you were a Level 4 Auditor, you could do that too.

- astroknave, on 03/14/2008, -8/+30OMG. That was painful to watch. I actually felt sorry for TC--just for a second--and then I realized that Katie was invisible, and the moment of sympathy passed fairly quickly.
Poor Katie, seems she was no match for Tom's OT 8 powers and has faded away. Though that singer must have some solid OT creds of her own to carry him along like that, without outshining him.- Xondar, on 03/14/2008, -1/+11Were they even together back in 04? That's when this video was made.
- tyywebb, on 03/14/2008, -0/+2I wonder if they're allowed to drink at their parties. If I was there I would have needed several stiff ones after witnessing that.
- moger777, on 03/14/2008, -0/+0Supposedly they have an annual beer and cheese party. That kinda implies they drink during that party. I don't think they are allowed to drink in access and you are not supposed to drink 24 hours before auditing.
- DiggyMagoo, on 03/14/2008, -7/+36This should be fun tomorrow when David Miscavage tries to explain to tom how this private party might not have been so private.

Thanks for doing that, while the bad movies will persist TC wont be in them,- summiter, on 03/14/2008, -0/+14Tom doesn't know about stuff like this. - ProfessorFoo, on 03/15/2008, -4/+2Digg users are obviously straight shooters that don't drink or have fun. This video just shows Cruise having fun at his birthday party. Yeah he is a little bit too excited, why the hell does everyone on digg care so much?
- NightVortez, on 03/15/2008, -0/+4Yeah I actually came here expecting them to sit around measuring thetans while Tom Cruise jumps repeatably on a couch screaming "XENU" and at the end they have a giant orgy with their demon spirits.
This just looks like a bunch of people having fun, I've done that a couple of times, especially drunk. Not saying I condone their cult or anything but there are much better things to condemn them for than a video of Tom Cruise acting a little crazy at a party.

- georgemason01, on 03/14/2008, -13/+5emazee is a $cientologist. Die.
- phrogxix, on 03/14/2008, -3/+36I have to agree here. While he's crazier than a ***** rat and as deep in the closet as he can get, I felt like this was just stupid aimless fun and enjoying a very extravagant birthday party. If somebody did that for me, I'd be laughing, and acting like an idiot too.
If you want to pick on Cruise, post one of about a dozen videos that show him being a psycho and I'll laugh right along with you. But picking on this video just to do it comes off sort of pathetic, since it really doesn't contain the insanity that most Cruise vids usually do. C'mon, there's gotta be better footage out there. - nunu4u, on 03/14/2008, -1/+9I think the point was that the church claims Tom is "just another member" but spends six figures on a birthday party idolizing him. Tom is a celebrity judas goat, used to lure sheep into the church and shear them of their $$$.
- McWombo, on 03/15/2008, -1/+1The title mentions "insane". This is the sanest I think I've seen Tom Cruise in recent times.
- vbeast, on 03/14/2008, -23/+67How dare Tom Cruise have fun at his Birthday Party!!! He should sit in a corner crying because no one gives a ***** about it.

- phrogxix, on 03/14/2008, -1/+3I've stated the same as replies a couple of posts above, but yeah. Picking on this makes those of us who really loathe the Scientology whackos and would be happy to see Cruise wander off to obscurity, pathetic. There's plenty of good solid material to hammer this nut into the ground with... but having fun on his birthday isn't it.
- likewhateeever, on 03/14/2008, -1/+1.
- deanimate, on 03/15/2008, -0/+3exactly. if cruise wasn't part of that retarded cult then most people having a go at him would be giving him the thumbs up for letting loose and having a good time etc.

- Renian, on 03/15/2008, -0/+1It's not about Cruise having fun. No one cares about that. It's about Cruise getting a birthday party thrown for him by the Church of Scientology at their (high) expense, despite the fact that he is just a "normal" member. Why don't they do this for all their normal members?
- Sokkratez, on 03/14/2008, -3/+24Got to agree, nothing particularly crazy about his behavior in this video. He's just having fun. I'm no fan of his, but come on.

There is no reference to Scientology what so ever, its just some dude enjoying his birthday with his friends. The people who are attacking him for what he believes in are no different to racist's and bigots.
Bury me I don't care a lot of people on this website need to go and get themselves a life instead of following mundane internet meme's.- anstice85, on 03/14/2008, -10/+1Yeah Lewis, tell all those RACIST'S, BIGOT'S, AND MEME'S to get themselves a life
- iamondigghaha, on 03/14/2008, -1/+17Ah... Scientology /threw/ him the birthday party. Spent church money on it. Seems like that's the point. I mean, not every church member gets a lavish party on a Scientology-owned cruise ship. If you read the context on the site, above the video, it explains this. It's kind of sleazy because they do it because he's a celebrity.
- vectorz, on 03/14/2008, -8/+0You're right. If you google any religion and 'money scandal' nothing shows up. Neither does priests and young boys result in any craziness.
- iamondigghaha, on 03/14/2008, -1/+4uh, the vast majority of members of the church of Scientology don't get /*****/ for their hard work. I'm certainly not saying this is the only instance of money being misused in a church, or the only thing a church could do wrong, but by your argument, we should just ignore all instances of egregiously inane spending rather than digg the ones we find particularly ridiculous. Doesn't seem right to me.
- Xondar, on 03/14/2008, -0/+7Exactly. The "Church" claims he's no more important than any other Scientologist and then they throw him a very lavish birthday party on their private yacht.
If I join Scientology can I expect a similar surprise?
- vectorz, on 03/14/2008, -8/+0You're right. If you google any religion and 'money scandal' nothing shows up. Neither does priests and young boys result in any craziness.
- FeargusMcDuff, on 03/14/2008, -12/+5Totally with you LewisBreaker, its Tom Cruise enjoying his birthday. Scientology doesn't affect you, stop caring about other people and they way the live their lives. You know what stopping people from doing what the like to do is? Fascism.
- brickbat, on 03/14/2008, -0/+10For me, its the fact that the COS taped it and uses it for propaganda within the Church that is weird.
- adventchild08, on 03/14/2008, -0/+6You cannot kill that which has no life.
But seriously though...it was hard for me watch this and call it "normal". - imNotaCylon, on 03/14/2008, -4/+3I used to think it was funny to make fun of Tom Cruise, then it hit me, "wow, Im mocking this guy for his religion" which made me feel like quite the hypocrite because I consider myself open minded. Granted, Tom should keep his opinions to himself and not barrade Matt Lauer, but I think its sad that people cant just let him be.
- hmcook87, on 03/15/2008, -0/+1i have no problem mocking people for their religions. you shouldn't make fun of people for things they can't control (being gay, race etc) but laughing at people for their choices (including their choice of religion) is all good in my book. So in that sprit... HAHA! Tom Cruise believes in crazy *****!

You realize why the Cult of Scientology paid so much to celebrate a members birthday right? If they keep the most well-known of their followers happy, he works as a good advertisement to recruit others to be brainwashed, while the Cult is able to freely abuse the rights of their lesser followers. That's also why most members are required to pay $300,000 - $500,000 and more on Scientology, while Cruise gets a free ride (although he donates tons anyway).
Behold their newest strategy, outing anonymous members and associating them with terrorist threats, a case of libel if you ask me:

If anything, the only thing that really struck me is how much stars get their ego stroked. I mean, the movie review seems so narcissistic. I wonder if it's common at celebrity parties to have an award show style montage. LOL - tim710, on 03/15/2008, -1/+2you guessed wrong
- asiarock, on 03/15/2008, -1/+2Couldn't agree with you more. This is just a video of Tom having a good time at a party. I don't see any "insane scientology" activity going on in the video at all.
- SuminderJi, on 03/15/2008, -1/+3Same.
The guy's at his birthday party and smiling and having a good time. Sure hes laughing a bit too much - but seriously I'd be blushing and laughing if people were adoring me like him at the party.
Sometimes people need to lay off. The guy believes in something and is happy - if thats crazy then sign me up. Wait I don't want to pay for happiness though :| - MrColdheart, on 03/16/2008, -0/+1I dont know what your talking about... from beginning to end it's pure crazy..
no seriously the reason why people are going to digg this and call it crazy is because this is a birthday party for a member of CoS. Do all members get this treatment? No
In essence this lavish party was paid for by people who donate there hard earned money to the CoS.
and on top of that CoS forbids alcohol so this party was dry.. if that's not crazy I don't know what is.
- junkwheel, on 03/14/2008, -8/+4Could you laugh that much at somebody playing a theme tune on guitar?
- pk7677, on 03/14/2008, -37/+21Give the man a break its his ***** birth day. Digg me down assholes.
- FeargusMcDuff, on 03/14/2008, -7/+6Arrrrgh but he is Digg's sworn enemy! He truly cares that we find him slightly odd and rank him on a news website!
But seriously I'm, with you, and grats on him for enjoying his birthday. - theda3g0, on 03/14/2008, -9/+4I dugg ya. I don't get it. So he's having fun on his birthday... SO WHAT? Not to mention, that's not exactly amateur film making there. The shots and angles were deliberate. Seems more like a promo video...
- swaxhog, on 03/14/2008, -0/+4Yeah, looked a little too well produced. Notice all the perfect model-types in the front. Unless, Scientology transforms people into hunks and hotties. Hrmm, maybe I will go in for a quick reading. What can go wrong?
- anononon, on 03/14/2008, -6/+5Dugg you down for calling me an asshole.
- peestandingup, on 03/14/2008, -1/+2Good point, asshole.
- astroknave, on 03/14/2008, -3/+10Because it cost something like a half a mil, and was paid for by the regular people of Co$. Since when do churches throw birthday bashes for their own movie stars?
Not to mention the creepy narcissism.- aceakm, on 03/14/2008, -4/+2Something like half a mil? I'm guessing you just made that up.
In any case, Tom was having a good time on his birthday and everyone is dissing him. Just sad.- feebie, on 03/14/2008, -0/+2It says right in the article that they spent 6 figures on this party.
- feebie, on 03/14/2008, -0/+2It says right in the article that they spent 6 figures on this party.
- FearLess77, on 03/14/2008, -0/+1I imagine he has donated much much more then what the party was.
If you donated something along his figures, I'm sure CoS would give you a birthday party as well
- aceakm, on 03/14/2008, -4/+2Something like half a mil? I'm guessing you just made that up.
- blakck, on 03/14/2008, -6/+1I completely agree with you. Dugg you down though since you asked for it. Just state your opinion and be on with it. No need to qualify your comment with whether you feel you're going to get dug down or not.
- Estaris, on 03/15/2008, -0/+1Sorry this is www.digg.com not www.awwyourmomlovesyou.com.
If you can't laugh at yourself and, of course, laugh at $cientology then take yer liddle keyboard and type another URL my friend! *RAWR* XD
- FeargusMcDuff, on 03/14/2008, -7/+6Arrrrgh but he is Digg's sworn enemy! He truly cares that we find him slightly odd and rank him on a news website!
