That is my Keanu Reeves impression through out "The Day the Earth Stood Still" - MacBookForMe, on 12/13/2008, -3/+42Whatever they say I liked to watch him in many films...:)
- HenvY, on 12/14/2008, -0/+34His fiance died in a car crash. I'd say that gives him the right to be miserable forever!
- BullHunter, on 12/13/2008, -0/+31a long way from "Greetings and Salutations Dude!". I still use that line, sadly
- noupsell, on 12/13/2008, -3/+33he's on my top ten list of "actors" most likely to be reincarnated as a cardboard cutout
- scatterbrain, on 12/14/2008, -0/+22I hate to dwell on his misfortune here but also this, from imdb:
In November 1999, the baby girl he was expecting with girlfriend Jennifer Syme was stillborn, just a few weeks shy of the actual delivery date. They had planned to name her Ava Archer Syme-Reeves.
and then two years later, his fiance is dead too. unreal.. - GeorgeStone2, on 12/14/2008, -1/+21Regarding his newest *****.
What I don't get is how the government was so prepared for an alien attack.
They managed to get a giant robot cage built in under 2 days? Unlikely.
That means it was already built.
I can just imagine the mad inventor now:
"My cats said I was crazy when I told them I was building a giant killer alien robot cage! But now who's laughing! me! BWAHAHAHAHANEEERF!" - inactive, on 12/13/2008, -2/+19I'm surprised he hasn't been cast in a Star Wars movie yet, quite honestly.
- bhavinp, on 12/13/2008, -0/+17"He knows too much" - Pablo Francisco
- thugexpress, on 12/14/2008, -0/+14the matrix, it changed him. once you see the truth, you have nothing to smile about.
- Secret7000, on 12/14/2008, -0/+14I like the fact that the one time we saw him do an emotional crying scene, he had no eyes.
- ericwisner, on 12/13/2008, -0/+13Odd that we didn't see anything from 'Speed' in the article.
- edebolt, on 12/14/2008, -2/+11My theory on why K.R. acts like an emotional robot. When he was younger Keanu was in a bad vehicle accident and lost his spleen. In Chinese medicine the spleen is the seat of the emotions and acts as the conductor to decide how and which food is absorbed or discarded. He is living life without a conductor.
K.R. in Point Break. "I am an FBI AGENT" - opticwind, on 12/14/2008, -2/+11I always thought he was underrated. He might not be a good actor, but he's not much worse than most of them I see recently.
- JesseRuth89, on 12/14/2008, -0/+8I'm confused by your hatred. I admit he might not be the most "versatile" actor, but I doubt you know him on a personal level. Calling anyone a tool without full justification makes you yourself seem like one.
- MickGyver, on 12/14/2008, -0/+8Probably a side effect of the Redpill
- nibkey, on 12/14/2008, -0/+7The original "Blue Steel".
- bgcheetah, on 12/14/2008, -4/+11Why is his head always angled slightly to the side?
- pcfx, on 12/14/2008, -0/+7Ï know Kung Fu.
- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -1/+7Whoa!
- zaferk, on 12/14/2008, -0/+6gof wtf was wrong with that movie? some angry rebellious black kids dad dies so lets spend half the movie talking about him. yeah good choice writers
- misterwrite, on 12/14/2008, -1/+7Personally, I think Keanu has more range, but lazy directors guide him to the "stony face" because audiences are reminded of The Matrix. Funny how the article didn't mention Something's Gotta Give or The Gift. I get tired of the backlash against Reeves, who CAN show emotion and can act, if given the right vehicle, character and/or director.
- newsboys, on 12/14/2008, -0/+5If and When Half Life makes it to the big screen.. he could play a good G-Man
- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -0/+5Truly, that was the last time anyone remembers seeing Keanu Reeves expressing anything remotely resembling an emotion.
- honeybrass, on 12/14/2008, -1/+5doesn't that movie just use the same actor in different costumes?
- ratsg, on 12/15/2008, -0/+4@ cloak419
I saw it Friday. IMO, it is now "The day the Earth saw stool". The black kid needs a good boot to the head. - Uiaccsk, on 12/14/2008, -0/+4did anyone ever see keanu play a part in a film adaptation of shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing? i didnt believe shakespeare could be funny before i saw that.
- rwbaskette, on 12/14/2008, -0/+3I am Bill S. Preston, Esquire
- chrisbasham, on 12/14/2008, -0/+3No Ted Theodore "Stoned" Logan?
- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -0/+3Show me...
- TrueSecrets, on 12/14/2008, -0/+3Nicole Kidman's on the list
- delusionz, on 12/14/2008, -0/+3It looks like someone just picked random images off the net, the title of the article is a set back.
- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -0/+3Well it was, in fact, one of Shakespeare's comedies...
- exspasticcomics, on 12/14/2008, -1/+4acting!
- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -0/+2Reported *****. Stop spamming our Digg.
- superhope, on 12/15/2008, -0/+2Shut up! I love him!
- 1807, on 12/14/2008, -0/+2We shouldn't even be talking about that right now ;-)
- ZombieKiss, on 12/15/2008, -0/+2This guys had a troubled life - you can almost see it in these expressions. I don't think hes acting, I think they're his own.
- PaulOwen, on 12/14/2008, -1/+3That was actually his best role - the "dumb surfer dude". Since then, everything in his career has been him trying to escape that role.
A bit like Will Smith and Fresh Prince of Bel Air - nothing Smith has done since will ever live up to it. - inactive, on 12/14/2008, -0/+2and I am Ted "Theodore" Logan
- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -0/+2I'd figure they improvised. It wasn't till later when the army used that "jail". Find an old missile silo, alter the restraints, and instant G.O.R.T. lock-down.
- tehknotte, on 12/14/2008, -0/+2you cant wait to see his O face.
- MisterMajusty, on 12/14/2008, -0/+2He's a Vulcan.
- fugazied, on 12/14/2008, -0/+2He does 'blue steel' well.
- Spoomeister, on 12/14/2008, -0/+2Reminds me of that Get Fuzzy comic:
"Hey Satchel, do your impression of Keanu Reeves!'
"Which one, angry Keanu or confused Keanu?"
"uh, let's see angry Keanu first"
"Uhhhhhhhhhh."
"haha, now confused Keanu"
"Uhhhhhhhhhh?" - Ari1, on 12/15/2008, -0/+1Matrix' remakes ruined his career...sadly
- Elranzer, on 12/15/2008, -0/+1The kid was unnecessarily black. Seems like he was shoehorned into the story because Will Smith has power in Hollywood.
- Scalpels, on 12/17/2008, -0/+1"Anal leakage."
- CBKBAMF, on 12/14/2008, -0/+1Woah.
- TheOneTrueGod, on 12/14/2008, -0/+1Blue Steel
