- AD7GD, on 06/05/2009, -0/+23Does anyone actually *like* slideshows on the web? I'm always searching for a way to disable them and then cursing the lack of a thumbnail index...
- inactive, on 06/04/2009, -1/+20He was a badass from the time he was young to his final moments on screen. Always a great actor... very fun to watch.
- thenorwegian, on 06/05/2009, -0/+12from wikipedia:
"Khunying Pornthip Rojanasunan, a flamboyant Thai forensic pathologist and Director of Forensic Science Institute, stated the presumption, in reference to forensic theory, that that the death of Carradine was an autoerotic accident; stating the following support: the victim was male and engaged in sexually deviant behavior, his dead body was nude, and his sexual organ was tied up. While Pol Lt Gen Worapong Chewprecha, Commander of the Metropolitan Police, remarked that the closed circuit television installed within the hotel supporting no external persons being involved with the death.[16] [17][18] Carradine's representative and family members told the press that they believed the death to be accidental and not a suicide.[19]"
WTF? - Xplorer, on 06/05/2009, -1/+12Autoerotic Asphyxia FTL
- namezod, on 06/05/2009, -0/+11No. It was a terrible slideshow full of ads. Clicking next refreshed the whole damn page.
Props to David Carradine though - dixhuit, on 06/05/2009, -1/+11A guitar playing ninja cowboy with the balls to take on Chuck Norris.
I doff my cap. - Xaevier, on 06/05/2009, -0/+9Sadly he will be remembered as the famous guy who died in a way that was a little "too" memorable.
- wizzroom, on 06/05/2009, -2/+9ummm okay. it was given to him by the racist studio heads, i don't see where theft comes into play. dumb comment.
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -1/+8as a kid back in the EARLY 90's i lived next door to Mr. Carradine, the guy was a very odd man and a raging Alcoholic he use to run around on his property in a loincloth with his horses howling like an Indian i even have one story were he pinned my father against a wall by his throat over some small disagreement, so this bizzare death does not surprise me although despite his excentrict personality he was still an over all good guy and was VERY entertaining on the screen. he WAS bill. RIP you old coot.
- DaveClarkOne, on 06/05/2009, -1/+7Buried for the ads and sloppy slide show.
- scarlettletter, on 06/04/2009, -11/+17That guy stole Bruce Lee's role!
- arleym, on 06/05/2009, -0/+6buried for number of pages / ads in between pages.
I stopped looking before they could show me Death Race 2000. Sigh. - krango, on 06/05/2009, -0/+5At least he died doing what he loved.
- bigp3rm, on 06/05/2009, -1/+5R.I.P. I grew up watching Kung Fu. You will be greatly missed.
- boredco, on 06/05/2009, -0/+4Brings a whole new meaning to 'strangling the swan'
- skunkman62, on 06/05/2009, -0/+4i lost respect for him when he was found dead hanging in a closet naked with rope tied around his neck and genitals in a hotel in bangkok. then i lost respect for the BBC who changed the story from "neck and genitals" to "neck and other parts of the body".
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -0/+4I remember as a child, watching Kung Fu. I thought I was Kung Fu. I would imitate all of Carradine's moves. How cool calm and collect he was even as he was kicking ass...
Then, I remember getting my ass handed to me on the play ground for thinking I was a calm and collective, kick ass Kung Fu master...
Thanks, Dave! - inactive, on 06/05/2009, -2/+5Who really cares whether you have heard of him or not? Some shmo on the net says he's never heard of someone, so everyone else should STFU. Wow. Get over yourself, narcissist.
And then there's shaelen, who has been hanging around this thread for hours whingeing on about how Bruce Lee should have gotten the Kung-Fu role, despite Lee's tv concept being an entirely different animal set in China, and the practical impossibility of ever marketing a Chinese leading man to early 70s America. It wouldn't have made it past pilot.
Bruce Lee was an awesome athlete, but he was a poor actor. Carradine *could* act, and was not one-note, despite doing a lot of schlocky movies.
You will just have to accept that a lot of people liked this guy and admired his weird life ethic. Boo hoo. - inactive, on 06/05/2009, -1/+4Anyone read that they say he was found with a rope around his neck and balls? Article said he either committed suicide or had a heart attack after kinky sex. What a guy.
P.S. The last place a famous celebrity wants to die is Bankok. Apparently they don't know anything about being sensitive to the dead. - ghatid, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3Actually, martial arts teaches you to live a peaceful life. Remember Mr. Miyagi? You don't fight battles you don't need to.
- shaelen, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3Alongside Michael Hutchence.
- wizzroom, on 06/05/2009, -1/+3RIP Carradine...you will be remembered.
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2I just did a bunch of research on him. He was a true walking piece of crap if there ever was one. Incestuous, sexist, a sex fiend, wife beater, pregnant woman beater. Ripped off his ex-mother in law and left her wiht a 650k loan she could not afford. Was ordered to do sexual deviant counseling and never went. Abused women where ever he went.
totally changed my outlook on this fool. He's better off dead...and so are we. - boredco, on 06/05/2009, -1/+3I can't believe I've lived 35 long years, and never once heard that there's a film where he goes head to head with Chuck Norris
- Xaevier, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2Either that or autoerotic asphyxiation, which could easily be a bad rumor
- Bloodwine, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2Lone Wolf McQuade, a less cheesy predecessor to Walker: Texas Ranger.
I loved watching Lone Wolf McQuade when I was a youth. - oda1, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2I prefer The Life & Times of Tim.
- bakaoni, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2They left out the pictures of him shopping for belts in various locales around the world.
- rmmcclay, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2Like no diggers do kinky stuff behind closed doors.
- Kazakaz, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2You're the best... Around!
- sfury, on 06/06/2009, -0/+2eccentric
- TFGeditor, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2According to a BBC report, he was found "with a rope around his neck and genitals."

- ghatid, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2I did too. I didn't know it was a show from the 70s. I wasn't actually alive then...
- Zong, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2@shaelen
It was a different time and since when does an actor turn down a paying gig. - SmackMyMac, on 06/05/2009, -3/+5Always though he would go crossing Hanzo Swords on the beach in the moon light....
- onwardknave, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1@Skunkman62: When Carradine was in Chatham on Cape Cod, shooting a (bad) movie, he was down at the local bar every night, swearing, and in various degrees of intoxication. When the bartender asked him to stop smoking, he stood up with his drink, and stated quite loudly, "I'M BAD AS HELL!" and walked out.
- marmotjmarmot, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1I should have known that Terry Gross would have had an interview with him. I hadn't heard it, but I will check it out.
- applebyter, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1the moment i heard about this story and how he was tied up i thought murder right away...i wonder why others were not thinking that as well...i mean they did report how he was tied up when this FIRST happened and the WAY he was tied up was just too weird for someone who killed themself...not to mention that reports are now saying that they hotel wont hand over the surveillance tapes...smells fishy to me... ..damn shame...hope they catch the bastard(s) who did this...my thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and children
- Zong, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1if you could point me to some episodes I would gladly watch Kung Fu, and Kung Fu: The Legand Continues
- elainemak1, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1Someone's now reporting that his hands were tied behind his back, so now they're thinking murder?
http://slashgossip.com/2009/06/05/new-details-on-d ... - kwilliam71, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1It would probably be enjoyable if I could get over the annoying page loads and advertising of rottentomatoes.com. Good grief!
- MrZaiko, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1I didnt know he was David Carradines's brother. and had a lot of relatives on TV
...IMPRESSIVE - inactive, on 06/07/2009, -0/+1Kwai Chang - thai for 'elephant dick'
- UselessTrivia, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1No one's gonna ever keep you down
- dougm68, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1Whats worse than a slide show? A slide show with ads inserted every 4 slides. =/
- gerrylazlo, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1Sorry, but when people think of Carradine, they will think of Kung Fu. Plain and simple.
- AmazingSteve, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1Yeah I had the displeasure of working with Carradine years ago when he was shooting in Toronto. He was an ***** of the highest order. Watched him kick the glass doors in at Skydome when they wouldn't let him into a Sold Out Rolling Stones show without a ticket. Class A *****.
- tribtal, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1dugg for "racist studio heads". So true...
- tj_walker, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1I always thought he was a good actor but he had some demons.
