Best line ever. - DanNZN, on 08/28/2008, -2/+35dugg for "run right up to one tornado after another and try to stick their balls in it"
- cutchyacokov, on 08/29/2008, -0/+28The Core, perhaps? The science in that movie was so bad I almost vomited.
- redfred18t, on 08/28/2008, -3/+28Despite my animosity towards supporting something presented by Disaster Movie, this article is just too ***** funny.
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -2/+20Clone Wars does
- bluepill2, on 08/28/2008, -7/+24Does Star Wars Episode I count as a Disaster Movie?
- JustinDM, on 08/29/2008, -0/+16Disaster Movie is going to be the lamest disaster in Disaster Movie history.
- wontstoptalking, on 08/28/2008, -1/+14Those poor triffids :'-(
Maybe one day they'll find a planet of blind sloths? - sock2828, on 08/29/2008, -0/+12That's a parody you idiot!
- wastingdeath, on 08/29/2008, -1/+9Inaccurate. Disaster Movie should have easily topped that list,
I mean seriously how can the American Public keep supporting this ***** garbage while great comedies like Hamlet 2 and The Rocker will more than likely go forgotten - bonk2k, on 08/29/2008, -1/+8I'm pissed that this article was so good because it was an ad for a super ***** movie. Seriously why do they keep making those movies?
- bdfariello, on 08/29/2008, -0/+7It's definitely something Bender said, although I can't remember exactly what episode. Even still, it's not exactly a rare saying. It's been said outside of Futurama before.
- asdfer, on 08/29/2008, -1/+7from the article:
"Here's the interesting thing about lava: It's not very fast. Wait, did we say interesting? We meant boring."
I thought they stole the line from Bender. - theadvinci, on 08/29/2008, -3/+9I'd say the worst "danger" in a movie of all times is... SNAKES ON A PLANE... How lame is that!?
It's like zombies are scary, kittens are cute and vampires are cool. Let's make "Bloodsucking Zombie Kittens". - LemonDeception, on 08/29/2008, -0/+6That belongs on the list of "Lamest Disasters in Movie History."
- h0tpot, on 08/29/2008, -0/+5I don't know, I think this was a close second, "The solution, obviously, was to make a movie about people who are dumb enough to run right up to one tornado after another and try to stick their balls in it."
- Zabbawack, on 08/29/2008, -0/+5Whoa Twister rocked! Philip Seymour Hoffman...How can you go wrong?
- HseLoMein, on 08/29/2008, -0/+5I hope you know the Snakes on a Plane, was purposely made to make fun of those kinds of movies.
- AeonTorpor, on 08/29/2008, -2/+6The Happening, anybody?
- nixfu, on 08/29/2008, -0/+4
WHAT?? NO 1970's STUFF?
ALL THE GREATEST/WORST disaster movies were made in the 1970's...
Airport (1970)
The classic that started it all.
Airport '77 (1977)
An airplane movie underwater, brilliant idea!
Airport '79 (1979)
Hilarity at the speed of sound
Earthquake (1974)
If L.A.'s a rockin', don't come a knockin'!
Meteor (1979)
James Bond vs. the rock from outer space.
The Poseidon Adventure (1972)
Set the standard for all disaster movies to come.
The Swarm (1978)
The bees are mad as hell and they're not gonna take it anymore!
Beyond the Poseidon Adventure (1979)
The waterlogged sequel to…well, you can guess.
When Time Ran Out (1980)
A prophetic title if ever there was one.
Towering Inferno
Steve McQueen as a great fire cheif - Mesmascizer, on 08/29/2008, -3/+6Buried as innacurate, no Scorcher VI.
- Whitey07, on 08/29/2008, -0/+3The Day of the Triffids is a classic though!
- DrStrangeLover, on 08/29/2008, -0/+3I am total watching "The Day of the Triffids" now. Thanks!
- ghank, on 08/29/2008, -0/+3They will keep making ***** movies as long as people keep paying for ***** movies.
- danc4498, on 08/29/2008, -1/+3No "Armageddon" at the top of the list means this list is a failure!
- Bovorik, on 08/29/2008, -0/+2About time we had a Day of the Triffids remake (28 Days Later-style).
- Andrwmorph, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1Wow. Day of the Triffids was my favorite book back when I was like 13. I never knew they made a movie!
Torrent if anybody cares: http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/15922063/triffi ... - crashskidmark, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1plucky
- bananasluggy, on 08/29/2008, -2/+3If you want to enjoy a disaster movie, snag yourself someone who is an expert in whatever field the token Lab-Coat is... then sit back and enjoy.
It's better than the movie, every time. :D - OneOfNone, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1It IS possible to out-lame even those: Make Plague of Frogs into a disaster movie... and set it in Paris.
http://www.livingunderworld.org/folklore/folklore_ ... - theadvinci, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1Nope... Didn't watch it. Now I know.
- nihilism5150, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1i think i saw daylight. specifically the part with the dog. i turned it off after that...
- jave8u, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1At least the disaster movies I've actually heard of aren't on the list
- lamiaconfitor, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1Dammit, the dogs plans were foiled! You'll kill him next time sparky!
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -3/+4Cracked.com, another classic!
- boneit, on 08/29/2008, -0/+0Maybe one day the author will bother to read Wyndham's book and realize the movie was barely like it, just like any book based movie Will Smith appears in.
Salt water doesn't kill triffids, and the meteor shower that blinded most of the world was just the media coverage of an unusual event, later suggested to be military satellites releasing their payloads by mistake. - satanguy, on 08/29/2008, -1/+1i loved daylight!! ok so it seems kinda lame now
- adiman7, on 08/29/2008, -4/+45 Lame Disasters on 2 ***** Lame Pages!
Picture this: One of these days, on this little planet of ours... all the mouse wheels are gone!!! Now that's a disaster!
Thank god cracked.com has his articles split in so many pages so we will still be able to read them without scrolling. - shipwreck58, on 08/29/2008, -1/+1Firestorm was not a disaster movie, it was an action movie, shoot em up kind. And it wasnt a bad movie for its genre (though it was no Die Hard or Lethal Weapon). And Twister wasn't that bad either (Bill Paxton makes everything go down easier). What should have been there was that *****-ball remake of War of the Worlds that starred two vastly OVERRATED actors in the form of Tom Cruise and Dakota Fannning
- ianuk11, on 12/26/2008, -0/+0LAME
http://pokerworld.blogsome.com/ - maryjduffy, on 12/19/2008, -0/+0ridiculed, slandered, abused, tortured and/or killed if no hymen is discovered because our bodies-and furthermore, our sexualities-are considered property of the men in the family: fathers, uncles, brothers, and male cousins. Other hymens can be quite elastic, and in this circumstance, hymens may not rupture at all

http://www.falduRECCO:.com/recoverEve - stonebone4, on 08/29/2008, -3/+2I've been a Cracked fan for a long time (hell, I used to read the original magazine in the mid-90's) but this Disaster Movie promotion crap needs to stop. It doesn't make me want to go see that garbage any more and it makes me trust their judgment less. I understand they're a business and want to make a profit but someone giving them money to play their Digg popularity to promote a ***** movie that we all know is going to blow goats makes them look really, really bad.
- isshiah, on 08/30/2008, -2/+1Batman and Robin = disaster of a movie. lol
Alas...i didnt think Twister was that bad. - bdfariello, on 08/29/2008, -3/+2C'mon, no Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes? That one was definitely up there.
