- mbatterham, on 08/26/2008, -0/+76I'm going into ford tomorrow,to try and "own the car that tried to kill Shia Labeouf."
- squishee, on 08/26/2008, -0/+67The Wizard wasn't shameless, it was an awesome staple of my childhood. I'm still waiting for a sequel to come out called "The Wiizard."
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -1/+60Back to the Future was pretty bad too. Here are the ones that I can remember:
Mcfly's Nike Shoes
Pizza Hut rapid-expanding pizza
Pepsi
At&T teleconference machine
Delorean
CalvinKlein
Mattel Hoverboard
Advertising makes futuristic movies like Minority Report and Back to the Future seem more believable, since we're already bombarded with more advertisements than the past generations combined.
On an unrelated note, here is the link for Ad-Block plus for those who haven't discovered its magic:

- hambend, on 08/26/2008, -0/+38To be fair, Minority Report wasn't set that far in the future, and most of today's big brands aren't likely to go anywhere in a hurry. To me, the movie was all about technology vs privacy, and the invasiveness of those ads really helped to flesh out the theme.
They could have spent a bunch of money inventing fake brands to use. Instead, they made a bunch of money by using ones that already existed. You can't blame them. - notoneofus, on 08/26/2008, -0/+33I don't know if DeLorean really counts. They only made them in 81 and 82, and Back to the Future came out in 85. So it's not like DeLorean made any sales off that one.
- TibetRock, on 08/26/2008, -0/+29I wish we still lived in the day where it was acceptable to dance in the parking lot outside of mcdonalds
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -0/+22ARE YOU SMOKING YET?
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -0/+21Because as the article stated fedex never paid a single cent for it.
- howdareyou, on 08/26/2008, -0/+21Tobias: It's a wonderful restaurant"
Narrator: It sure is.

- FloridaMike, on 08/26/2008, -0/+18I don't know how they didn't include The Fantastic Four movies in there. The Rise of Silver Surfer had a #$&*@#! Hemi-powered, Dodge branded hovercraft.
- HeDiggMe, on 08/26/2008, -0/+17They could've done this article about the last season of Entourage, except the list only has room for 10.
- Kohaxx, on 08/26/2008, -0/+17To me that movie was all about Tom Cruise chasing his eyeballs through the alleyway.
- ScottMcIntyre, on 08/26/2008, -2/+19I can remember the product placements from 'Minority Report' when Tom Cruise wandered through futuristic ads. Except they were all big brands from today. It's interesting watching the video clips to spot the blatant marketing.
- APHughes, on 08/26/2008, -1/+17I, Robot should've been number 1
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -0/+16There is at least 1 Mac visible in every sitcom on television Im pretty sure. Not that Macs are bad, they just seem to be everywhere
- fpaudon, on 08/26/2008, -1/+15Did everybody forget Evolution? The heroes defeated the aliens with Head and Shoulders shampoo and conditioner and even played a commercial for it during the credits.
- isshiah, on 08/26/2008, -3/+17sometimes movies have to have product placement. i mean, will smith cant drink a soft drink with a "bottle 1" label on it, thats stupid. Labels are all over the place in the real world, why shouldnt they be in movies? to a degree, of course.
- faceless323, on 08/26/2008, -1/+15Dugg for "Wiizard"
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -0/+14Ford should have made it into a Special Edition Mustang
- Kohaxx, on 08/26/2008, -0/+13They said why in the piece, "Cast Away" wasn't so much a product placement as FedEx didn't want people to get the idea that their plane was going to crash with their cargo on it and didn't even want to be in the movie.
Nobody watched "Josie and The Pussycats" so it doesn't count. - boardthis, on 08/26/2008, -0/+13if u want a pepsi pal, you're gonna pay for it.
- kalvinb, on 08/26/2008, -0/+12I like movies such as Talladega Nights where the product placement isn't so obvious.
- Blurker, on 08/26/2008, -0/+12Uhm.
Demolition man? Taco Bell? In the movie it's the premiere fine-dining establishment.
Everyone who's anyone eats there. - Kohaxx, on 08/26/2008, -0/+12Mountain Dewinator and Xboxmatron assemble and product place!
I was disappointed the Xbox 360 robot didn't fire a red beam of death out of it's system light. - inactive, on 08/26/2008, -0/+11What about BRAWNDO the thirst mutilator?
FuddBuckers? - isshiah, on 08/26/2008, -0/+10drink coke everyone!
- kentifer, on 08/26/2008, -1/+11What about ***** Talladega Nights?
I know it's horrible, but what other movie encorporates a full applebees commercial in to the script?!?!? - fudgekat, on 08/26/2008, -10/+19How did "Cast Away"/FedEx not make it in here? Or like, "Josie & The Pussycats"/everything in that movie? Plz revise.
- Benholio, on 08/26/2008, -0/+9Wasn't the original cartoon basically an animated toy commercial anyways? Transformers was all about product placement, if anything Michael Bay stayed true to the spirit of Transformers by making it a GM commercial. After all, they kill off so many autobots in the original movie to make room for the next toy line.
- GregLoire, on 08/26/2008, -2/+10Harold and Kumar?
The one about White Castle, not so much the one about Guantanamo Bay. Although... - Podunkparte, on 08/26/2008, -0/+8As for the Transformers comments in the article, the reason there is no horse and corral on the front of Barricade is because while it's a mustang body, it's technically a Saleen S281. If you look at the Saleen's around town, they don't have the Mustang logo either.
- petebot, on 08/26/2008, -0/+8ha ha. Pepsi Free.
- Wootstapler, on 08/26/2008, -3/+11Maddox pretty much nailed iRobot.
http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=i_ ... - scabbers, on 08/26/2008, -0/+7Forrest Gump always seems to get a pass in these lists, and it deserves to be right up there.
- Croixce, on 08/26/2008, -0/+7"This sequence of child molestation-related entertainment was brought to you by Universal Studios and Nintendo."
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that.... - Powder, on 08/26/2008, -0/+7The most annoying product placement, as of lately, has got to be the Degree deodorant in this seasons episodes of Eureka on SciFi. If I see another one tonight i am going to kill some exec's/producers/directors/whoever the hell in doing this *****.
- bubbameister33, on 08/27/2008, -1/+7I think you just punched a hole in the internet.
- Shiftgood, on 08/26/2008, -0/+6Did you spot it in Matrix 2? (or was it 3? i cant even remember which crap one it was in)
Why... god why did they give up one of the best cars ever (65 Lincoln Continental, black on black) for the full line up of new age Cadillacs. I almost got up and walked out of the theater ... so shameless. - bmystry, on 08/27/2008, -0/+6Its an awesome movie though so its forgiven.
- AdamWest2122, on 08/26/2008, -1/+6Buried for calling popeyes third rate.
- CivicTV, on 08/14/2009, -1/+6Ok so I watched Mac and Me as a child . . . alot. I feel dirty.
- NeoCortex, on 08/26/2008, -2/+7They're like cockroaches in that regard.
- ngmcs8203, on 08/26/2008, -1/+5The only thing that sucks about that clip is the horrible rip. Otherwise, SCHA-WING!
- toxicityj, on 08/26/2008, -1/+5I won't deny that some movies go overboard, but seeing real-life products in movies is kind of nice. I'd rather see Cheerios in a movie than "STORE BRAND GRAIN CIRCLES". Gives movies a sense of realism
- johnmatias, on 08/27/2008, -0/+4Wait. When did it stop becoming acceptable?
- gbro, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3I liked how the cars disguised themselves as a bumbling comedy troupe.
