He was a really cool guy- tall as hell and pretty funny. I asked him about being on The Simpsons and what that was like; he said "I have no idea what you're talking about" and winked. The man was a class act all the way.

My dad was a good sport about it and even took her to some shows (though he never let her go alone...).

We somehow decided to go to his house to sing him "happy birthday". When we got there, his wife let us in, and he was inside getting what he claims was his first pedicure. It was hilarious, we sang Happy Birthday, and he made us promise not to go around telling people that Bob Goulet gets himself pedicures. So of course what do I do as soon as I get home? Tell my family that Bob Goulet was getting a pedicure. Bob, you were a riot, and thanks for being cool to a bunch of idiotic 12 year olds... You'll be missed.

    ... And I loved you in Beetlejuice.
