- kylemeans, on 10/12/2007, -30/+9Someone needs to introduce O.J. to Michael Richards... those two were made for each other. :)
- innergorilla, on 10/12/2007, -14/+5Timely, and topical.
- Persol, on 10/12/2007, -8/+43Listen, Richards tried being a 'tough' comic by attacking the hecklers. For awhile it was funny. Then he just stayed on it too long.
Admit it, the fork up the ass comment was funny. If you see that then you are overly sensitive and need some alcohol.
Actually stabbing someone is a slightly different level. - slicedoranges, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13Persol is right. Sticks and stones. Get over yourselves you weak-minded idiots (the idiots being people that took Mr. Richards seriously).
- AlanKc, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7Richards call the guy a ***** 4 or 5 times, comedy or not, it wasn't right. More alcohol would have just made this worse.
Im still a Richards fan, simply becuase I thought his apology was acceptible.
Nontheless, I saw no comedy in that part of his act, whether he was being heckled or not. - aristotle1990, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This sick piece of crap. He got away with cold blooded murder, and everyone knows it. The only thing he hasn't done is unambiguously admit his guilt, but he hasn't exactly denied it either. He's basically saying "I did it," with a condition in front of it. He even goes so far as to describe the murders in gory detail, that stupid *****.
I really hope karma comes back and bites him in the ass one day... - staticneuron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"
Admit it, the fork up the ass comment was funny."
no that was the most offensive thing he said.
FTFA:
" But the former football star says he didn't commit the murders. He said the book was ghostwritten."
"In the course of the interview I said, 'This is blood money and I hope nobody reads it,'" Simpson said.
He added, "Everybody who has written a book about this has taken blood money; you can't have selective morality."
And he is right. People are way to selective and hold double standard especially when dealing with OJ. The things that disgust me the most is that people choose sides before the court case even started (normally around bronco chase) and they have stuck with it. The court case was a joke and it didn't prove a damn thing. Thats why he isn't in jail. So when are people going to realize that their media feed POV of the world may not be the truth. I don't believe OJ did it, But I am damn not going to say that it wasn't possible. It just doesn't make any sense.
- Dested, on 10/12/2007, -2/+34Every night he must go home and just laugh about how he got away with one of the most well known murders in western civilization.
- ShrimpCrackers, on 10/12/2007, -4/+24And live with how people know that too. There are restaurants that don't serve him, and personally I'd be tempted to spit on his platter if I were serving up his food.
- CandidateZero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11At least he's honest about being unscrupulous.
- AnotherBrian, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Well, I for one am shocked.
- heavensblade23, on 10/12/2007, -6/+24***** you, OJ. I hope you burn in hell.
- reldruh, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1It almost sounds like, after being racked by guilt for years, he finally started to crack and now wants to get caught.
- lulutv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7They should let him do the Fox show to promote it, then he can get his blood money and finally pay off the civil suit he lost. It's that or wait until someone casts him in an action flick for kitsch value in ten years.
- evilinside2020, on 10/12/2007, -13/+1he's never gonna pay that civil suit. i wouldn't either truthfuly. no matter what people think about the situation he was proved not guilty. why folks won't let it be im not sure. maybe there's a little kramer in all of us lol. but seriously with the civil suit i wouldn't' pay that ***** either. and it shows how much merit that court has cause they can't make him pay it. tsk tsk.
- Dominatus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13So because a lot of people think someone is guilty who also happens to be black those people are now racist? Are you kidding me? I think he's guilty and it has nothing to do with his race.
- Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Exactly. It's just about a person who killed two people. End of story. The fact that he's black and the victims were white is irrelevant. The fact that he was a famous football player and a (pretty lame) actor is also irrelevant.
Or, it should have been, anyway, to that numbskull jury in the criminal case. - Pilot85, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You think it will take another ten years for someone to cash in on this?
- empeethree, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15***** O.J.
- Jugalator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12No thanks
- Sp4nk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I'm still surprised to this day nobody has killed him or he hasn't just killed himself.
- floridiot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I remember the days of Prodigy internet, my handle was WhiteBronco. Wow, I'm getting old... haha.
- form3hide, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1off topic but... Prodigy had handles? When I used it, we were assigned IDs. Mine was NXKD36A
- HalBSure, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2NXKD36A?
OMG, I used to cyber with you!
- andrgo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3What an *****, whoever was on that jury back in 1996 or whenever the hell needs to be put away for life for not having any common sense. Idiots.
- sambtravis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7But if the glove doesn't fit...
- BadassCheese, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Convict?
- ff3j, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit!
- ShrimpCrackers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10OJ says he's doing this for his kids, to get money for them. The thing is, his two kids are 18 and 21. They're old enough to start fending for themselves. Seriously, its a dirty game.
- anonydigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"This was an opportunity for my kids to get their financial legacy"
It sucks when Darwin bites you in the ass :) - pingveno, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Apparently you haven't seen tuition rates...
- anonydigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"This was an opportunity for my kids to get their financial legacy"
- jmcadres, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I'm still surprised that, after 12+ years someone hasn't offed OJ. How is it that he's still alive? There are plenty of haters floating around..........and not one has taken it upon themselves to dish out their own form of justice.
- anonydigg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Because it's too high profile & police would sure catch them to sound fair.
- angelp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I've always found it strange how people HATE O.J.. We hear about people being murdered everyday yet people rarely express the hatred for the murderer the way they do about O.J. Even Scott Peterson who killed his wife and their unborn child doesn't invoke this type of emotion. Weird.
- Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Now all he needs to do is remove the "IF" from the title of his book.
- silverSurfer84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9If OJ wanted to write a book for money why didnt he just write something like "What Really Happened" or "How My Life CHanged", not "IF I Did It". What innocent person would write about how they would kill someone IF they did it? Its obvious hes guilty and also very retarded.
- Bael, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Like Wanda Sykes said... you gotta stick to your lie.
- SigmaDraconis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"I feel like a man who's had the weight of the world taken off me."
So that's twice now? - EricDraven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Having trouble accessing the link, so I haven't read what he said exactly...
But if he really, REALLY meant to say "blood money" to the very sense of the term, that's nothing short of an admission of guilt on his part, don't you think? But, of course, almost everyone is convinced he DID do it, ey?- EricDraven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Finally read it...
"This was an opportunity for my kids to get their financial legacy," Simpson said in interviews this week with the AP after the book deal was abandoned by its publisher. "My kids understand. I made it clear that it's blood money, but it's no different than any of the other writers who did books on this case."
Yep, I'd say that's exactly the same as saying "I killed them" but he's stretching by saying others making money off it are guilty in the same way as him. Other writers weren't accused of murder, man...
- EricDraven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Finally read it...
- SPLASTiK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6What a terrible book name... "If I Did It"? That sounds more like a Bart Simpson book.
He should have called it, "If the Glove Fit".- SuperNick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That's an awesome name. It should've been named that. Oh well at least it isn't happening now.
- Kallius, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3To paraphrase South Park, "Simpson did it!"
- 4answer2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Remember when the verdict was read? White people stood there stunned and black people cheered. What a great world we live in.
- angelp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Do you even understand why black people cheered? A lot of them cheered because of reasons that had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with O.J.. Many of them didn't give two ***** about dumb ass O.J. They were cheering for another reason.
- tomvale13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Half price @ popeyes...?
- BlaqueJezus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Crazy ass *****. Mark Furman blew that trial. If his racist redneck ass hadn't committed purgery O.J. would be braiding some gang-banger's hair in the joint right now.
- wtf00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1funny thing is they never found real killer IF he didn't do it.. I guess the jury at that time didn't get enough proof he did it and the jury made there judgement base on there emotion((jury has the right to do so under us constitution ) not solely on evidence.. would be nice reopen OJ case hehe.. oh well.
- Altesse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Being non-american, I don't know OJ's case in detail, but what has always struck me when I saw him on TV at the time, was his lack of anger.
I mean, if I my wife had been killed, and I was innocent, I would wreak havoc to find the murderer. Even more so if the whole planet was convinced I was guilty.
I would have spent the rest of my life and my money to hire detectives, experts, labs, whoever, to find evidence to catch the guy.
I always wondered whether he was guilty or not. If he's innocent, he's way too cool and resigned about what happened. And if he's not, for a former actor, he doesn't look the part.- evilinside2020, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i think they were no longer married at that time.
- HalBSure, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"I would have spent the rest of my life and my money to hire detectives, experts, labs, whoever, to find evidence to catch the guy."
Well, he did check a whole bunch of golf courses for the killer, but never found him.
- BooDude, on 03/26/2008, -0/+2What a total jerk.
- Toughshit, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3It is funny how America works, you complain about O.J getting away with murder but you don't voice your displeasure when innocent black men were killed in the 60's or young black men killed by a nervous cop. It seems you make excuses for these people and others like Mr Richards ( who would not have cracked that supposed joke with an all black audience). One thing is clear it is always about race just read some of your comments.
- Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3It is not about race at all.
Michael Richards is a washed-up stand-up comic who made some pretty disgusting and regrettable remarks.
OJ is a double murderer.
Michael Richards has publicly apologized for his tirade.
OJ is trying to cash in on the murders he committed, as he continues his intense search for the "real" murderer on golf courses across the country.
There is no parallel here.
And I am displeased whenever innocent people are killed -- white, black, brown, red, yellow, whatever.
Not to mention the fact that you're complaining that "you don't voice your displeasure when innocent black men were killed in the 60's," when most of the posters here were probably not even alive in the 60's and therefore most reasonable people wouldn't expect them to be going around randomly complaining about 40-year-old events on Internet message boards. - angelp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@Wavey - He did say when young black men get killed by cops....which happens TODAY.
- Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@angelp -- I am aware of that, and I addressed it in my post by saying that I am displeased (using his term, "displeasure" -- I myself would reword it to disgusted), whenever ANY innocent person is killed.
In any case, I don't see anyone here making excuses for the killing of innocent black people by cops. That argument is a total non sequitur.
- Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3It is not about race at all.
- lingyai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So what is somewhat amazing is the book is not on the net in a pdf or simmilar format.
There are copies out there to scan, just see ebay. People were going to read that book when it came out (good or bad it is true), now they will read it and Fox/Regan will not get any money whatsoever! The whole situation seemed to work out decently well...now if only the real killers could be caught... - Darksoul, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0staticneuron your a moron you don't think he did it lmao right if not him who else and for what reason seriously everybody knows he did it the only reason he got away with it was way the police went about it ***** up the case if the evidence had been properly taken care of he'd of lost, the only other reason he didn't go to prison was he used his color screaming that the cops are racist and out to get him those are the only reasons he wasn't put to death.
kylemeans him making this book was a way to make money off the murders its sick and disgusting and comparing him to Richards is not cool besides that has nothing to do with this and also those guys that had been giving him crap all night started the fight you notice no one jumped on their asses when they where calling him a washed up cracker he had ever right to stand up for himself he is human to besides those 2 should of been escorted out before it got to that point why they wernt is news to me.
People need to stop acting like black people are the only one discriminated against everybody gets discriminated against Whites,Blacks,Mexicans,Arabs,Asians we all get it so get over it and if you are seriously saying they are the only ones I suggest you go back and read up on history.
