- rajma45, on 06/20/2009, -2/+156aww cute, Spike thinks it's Cracked
- sciencelovesyou, on 06/19/2009, -3/+87Goddamnit, I'm almost positive I lost a chunk of my IQ from reading this.
Apparently Vin Diesel is such a D&D fan that "He even created his own character, a witch hunter named Melkor,"
That... hurts. I think my geekcreas is actually hemorrhaging now. - BenTheTank, on 06/20/2009, -6/+78Johnny Depp is NOT A "TOTAL BADASS!!" *****' CAP LOCK!!!
- Rudegar, on 06/20/2009, -0/+59aaahhh a d&d player who creates his own char
ooohhh the humanity! - Cannonballkid, on 06/20/2009, -0/+56Spike tries to hard. The author has the "wussy" hobby of writing about bad asses something he is not =/
- maxvette, on 06/20/2009, -4/+54Wussy? Are the writers in their 60s?
- EggAndMuffin, on 06/20/2009, -1/+37Collecting tea cup is not a wussy hobby.
I find cultural and artistic values in it.
(I read Jackie Chan's biography that he doesn't like taking shots/taking injection at hospital.
Don't know how reliable that is, though) - MelADif, on 06/20/2009, -1/+36Come on! Whats so wrong with Diesel playing D&D?? His nerdiness makes me like him more.
- Slackdragon, on 06/20/2009, -4/+34I've always thought it was funny how "Fantasy football" was considered cool and manly, but D&D and other P&P RPG's aren't. Both are stat tracking and probability number-crunching. At least the the D&D has imaginary murder, mayhem and swords. The other has an imaginary ball... yeah.
- Sajuukar, on 06/20/2009, -1/+25I have been trying to figure out how to articulate all the things wrong with this article for ten minutes now. I give up.
- Cloned, on 06/20/2009, -0/+23Even the most skilled swordsman practices calligraphy.
If there are "manly" men with these hobbies, shouldn't we rethink our definition of what a wussy is?
Also, buried because it's Spike. I read the article in that Spike narrator's voice who yells like a douchebag all the time. - Larssonk22, on 06/20/2009, -0/+19Is being vegan a hobby now?
- ancalagon73, on 06/20/2009, -0/+16He's a badasshole.
- DouglasQ, on 06/20/2009, -0/+16I do it on weekends.
- Albumen, on 06/20/2009, -1/+17True, but I still like him. And not in a gay way.
- rpgmakr, on 06/20/2009, -0/+15Should I get off your lawn?
- taibo, on 06/20/2009, -0/+15Sorry buddy, Chuck Norris jokes are no longer funny.
- RickGonja, on 06/20/2009, -0/+13From what I can find doing a quick search Clint is not a vegan.

if you don't want to click the link, it's a D&D anniversary book which Vin Diesel has written the foreword for. - Albumen, on 06/20/2009, -0/+13The dude in me thinks you are such a dork!! But the dork in me is impressed with your knowledge of the Lore. Go in peace my friend... but just this time, just this time.
- DouglasQ, on 06/20/2009, -0/+12True vegans don't even drive through towns that end in '-ham'
- tommythetomcat, on 06/20/2009, -0/+12Celebrating 100 years of Jackie Chan
- inactive, on 06/20/2009, -1/+13Now I have geekcreatic cancer, thanks a lot Digg! If you need me I'll be at that new wonder-cure submission.
- Imissnaptime, on 06/20/2009, -0/+12russell crowe knitting is kinda what i expected.....
- Troy64, on 06/20/2009, -1/+12Johnny Depp playing with dolls does not surprise me at all.
- Lucas123, on 06/19/2009, -2/+13That's funny. When I was a kid in the 1970s, I remember the big media hubub about Rosey Grier (Los Angeles Rams Pro Bowler) because he loved to crochet. Remarkable that all these years later, he's still known for that.
- TheShad0w, on 06/20/2009, -0/+11I don't see the problem with any of these. I'm in a state of pure logic 75% of my day being a software engineer. When I get home I pick up my saxophone, my GURPS books, or yes, even my crochet hook. Why? Because there has to be some sort of balance to your life. Something has to offset the daily norm. None of these things surprise me and they shouldn't be seen as a "wussy" hobby. They are just a way to explore the artistic side of yourself.
- hackiavelli, on 06/20/2009, -0/+11No, no, no! You must conform to media-driven stereotypes about masculinity!
- mrsammercer, on 06/20/2009, -2/+13RE: Russell Crowe
Isn' there a different between a "badass" and an "*****?" - QreepyBORIS, on 06/20/2009, -0/+9The big deal's not that he made a character, but that he tattooed it on his stomach. Now that is dedication.
- Fixhotep, on 06/21/2009, -0/+9Chuck ruined it by using the meme in his campaign for Huckabee. It drained any funny the meme had left.
- ShoggothDreams, on 06/20/2009, -0/+9. . . . D&D is not the same thing as WoW. You are thinking of 4th edition.
- MarkusDee, on 06/20/2009, -0/+9Not since he endorsed Huckabee.
- Cloned, on 06/20/2009, -4/+12What a ***** article.
- camino262, on 06/21/2009, -0/+8Since I am a wuss, I relax by being a badass.
- nemomarlin, on 06/20/2009, -0/+8that's true. Jackie Chan said he hates needle in one of his interview. Scared of needle but jump off a building is OK???
- FearlessFreep, on 06/20/2009, -1/+9what do you mean "not allowed"? are they a club with a secret handshake and dues and such?
- inactive, on 06/20/2009, -2/+9Since when is D&D wussy? That ***** is awesome.
- BlackX4Life, on 06/20/2009, -0/+7I was vegan for a year, and i hate PETA.
- Coercion, on 06/20/2009, -0/+7Dugg for Jackie Chan
- Schweppesale, on 06/20/2009, -0/+5"sure, let me have some of that tasty gook food" - Gran Turino
- slvrbullet87, on 06/21/2009, -0/+5give it 11 days when Public Enemies comes out... that looks bad ass
- joechristenson, on 06/20/2009, -1/+6Quick, name ten things that are NOT Jackie Chan!
- RSMiller, on 06/20/2009, -0/+5I wonder what edition of D&D Vin plays? Something tells me with the time and effort he puts into it, 4e is out of the question.
- rpgmakr, on 06/20/2009, -3/+7Johny Depp shouldn't be on this list. He isn't _that_ badass. The only movie where he was really badass was "once upon a time in mexico". He is really cool I give you that.
- rajma45, on 06/20/2009, -7/+11of course he's not vegan, because he's NOT A SANCTIMONIOUS DOUCHE. ***** PeTA.
- X9001, on 06/20/2009, -0/+4I thought Russell Crowe's favorite activity was "fight'in!"
- falstaff, on 06/20/2009, -1/+5http://www.amazon.com/Thirty-Years-Adventure-Celeb ...
- FearlessFreep, on 06/20/2009, -0/+4...and gets it tattooed on himself?
..or at least a fake tattoo for a movie? - ReidM, on 06/21/2009, -0/+4The one thing that bugs me is that sports fans are as, if not more of a nerd than D&D ers. tell me what the ***** is the difference between someone who goes to comiccons in cosplay and someone who hangs around in a parking lot getting the patriots painted on the chest before a game?
