Actually, for someone who is supposedly afraid for her life and traveling in armored vehicles, she has been photographed in the last few days posing with her daughter on the streets of NYC. Tom is desperate for attention and scientology is trying to divert public attention from an upcoming court case and from negative press about their front group Criminon which has been all over the media. - rebotfc, on 12/29/2008, -0/+6Stealth If you really knew about scientology you would know that they have a history of faking threats including bomb threads and death threats. They are that evil they tried to get a journalist to commit suicide by faking bomb threats from her to the FBI.

- angusm, on 12/29/2008, -0/+5The summary is misleading: the article doesn't say that the Leaping Love Dwarf received phone calls from Anonymous. It says that the calls came from "groups who oppose their Scientology faith" (I wonder how they knew that the calls came from 'groups', rather than a selection of random nutjobs?) and that he "faced protests from the anti-Scientology group 'Anonymous'" when he attended the premier of 'Valkyrie'.
While membership of Anonymous is essentially undefined, I'd be willing to bet that most of those protesting against Scientology under the name Anonymous would feel that making death threats was neither acceptable behavior nor good tactics. - babalonanon, on 12/29/2008, -1/+6How did "anonymous death threats" get turned into "death threats from Anonymous"?
never mind - clamxbaker, on 12/30/2008, -1/+3It just occurred to me, Tom Cruise is following in L Ron Hubbard's foot steps. I haven't read anyone else mention this yet. So I wanted to point out that Hubbard also harassed the FBI with many weird letters accusing his perceived enemies of being communist, and Nazis. Just like Tom is doing now, he's just replacing Nazis with terrorists. Tom Cruise is following a strangely familiar pattern. If you consider this new angle along with $cientology's documented history of framing, and slandering their critics this story becomes sadly funny. Tom Cruise has lost it.

- Tubal22, on 12/29/2008, -0/+1I think Tom is as looney as the next guy, and same with scientology. But I think a lot of this "Katie is afraid for her life" is made up b.s.. Too many paparazzi running around with too many outlets to give their dumb thoughts.

Besides, in the end it's all about what gets you through the days. Let it be Christianity, Scientology or Islam we all fill that void of existence burrowed in every human being.
