Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno storms Milan fashion week runway

telegraph.co.uk — British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen (Ali G, Borat) caused a stir in Italy on FridayDressed in a blonde wig and an apparently random collection of clothing. He leapt onto a catwalk and sashayed down the stage during a show by Spanish designer. It was the second time the British comedian has caused chaos at the world famous event.

  • TheLoneHoot, on 09/27/2008, -2/+51Bruno is a great character, and I really wish this had worked for Cohen. He used Bruno VERY effectively on 'Da Ali G Show'. Bruno's character isn't just another Borat. I don't mean that it's a different look, new catch phrases, and different accent, etc. - I mean he uses Bruno to more directly point out hypocrisy, especially in the fashion world, and in social matters (homosexuality mostly). Borat, on the other hand, is more of an exercise in catching people off guard with an ethnic stereotype of an East European. Borat is funny as balls, but I think Bruno actually is a tiny bit better.

    What a load of *****. Sorry, I work for a modeling agency, and if I was at this show I would have loved it! Anyone who would be that pissed off about a funny stunt at a fashion show is taking the business way too seriously.

    Also, there are no sacred rituals of high fashion. It's an industry, not a religion. I can understand how the designer would be a little upset, you pour everything into those shows and if something doesn't go as planned it's a bit distressing. Still, it really did not ruin her show, he wasn't very disruptive actually. If they had just let him walk as if he was one of the models and leave, no one would have cared.

    Lighten up, it's a joke!
