SPOILER: Harry Potter gets Force-Choked on page 393!!! - skjede, on 10/10/2007, -0/+36I didn't know Vader has so many nice throw pillows.
- cloudyprison, on 10/10/2007, -1/+35When I left you I was just a reader, now I am the author.
- sfpfc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+29I'm fine with wearing a costume but please don't tell Luke I read Harry Potter.
- scottique, on 10/10/2007, -3/+32(Spoiler warning.) Y'know, during all that Snape/Lily stuff, where it comes out that Snape has been in love with her all his life, I was really hoping it would turn out that they had an affair, and Harry was going to have a "Luke, I am your father" moment.
- davidwasman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+28Dugg for not saying "title says it all'

- KireGoTI, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Hey there.
I'm currently studying in China and I happened to pick up the book in British English. At many points, it might as well have been in Chinese. Some of the slang and turns of phrase you guys are using on the other side of the pond just baffle me. It's not so much that I'm incapable of comprehension, but I have to step back sometimes and diagram the sentence in my head to figure out where a word's been dropped or what a term means. It's certainly not tragic, but I can understand how it would break the spell for some people, particularly younger readers, whose ability to comprehend new sentence structures is hardly at a high enough level to get through the book in the first place.
It's really not the same language. More and more so, I find, as we enter the new millennium. For a while I thought it was silly, but now I'm glad that there's a localized version. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11I think before, when he was working as a meter maid trying to get that loan for his "sports bar".
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Hih? Its flickr for gods sake, not exactly a site known for going down due to too many diggs!
- ionbattle, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10I don't really like star wars...does that make me a bad person?
- rmmcclay, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8A meme collision. Happens all the time. =)
- givinupthefight, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Oronar gets to keep it as his trophy.
- meatmcguffin, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10Well considering that so many 'mericans didn't know what a philosopher was they had to change the title to 'sorcerers stone'.....
- solemnraven, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7lol agreed, and i love how so many "Readers" are obsessed with a children's book, like they were good and all, but some people need to learn there are more then 7 books in existence, tossers.
- ColonelGS, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Yeah, I mean Mrs. Weasley shouting "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!" Is definitely appropriate for children.
And I thought the whole Snape/Lily thing was going to end like that too. I was like 'No Way, Man, No way' - SkippyDoorknob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5They feel nice against his burn scars.
- dime, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5"I promise it is incredibly entertaining."
You're a damn liar. - SweetMercury, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4They still release separate British and American versions? I thought that stopped after the 2nd book.
- meatmcguffin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Are any other Brits thinking of last night's mock the week?
- ionbattle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4who the ***** are you people and why aren't you using adblock plus?
- hmemcpy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6And that's exactly the reason why evolution vs. creationism debate exists.
- jbrand45, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Yes. Hang your head in shame and know you are inferior.
- uppercut, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3What?
- AgarwaenUmarth, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5But it's a children's book!
- ionbattle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3welcome to the block function...
- svenathon, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Sorta. I wouldn't have read it to my kids, would you?

- arobar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Don't post irrelevant garbage to a post about Vader and Harry Potter.
- cloudyprison, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2You can spout out the spoilers but my fan base will become more powerful then you can possibly imagine!
And my geekiness is spent. - Dares, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Funny to whom?
- Cerialthriller, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2i love the irony of the google ads during tragic headlines which is why i dont wanna block them

- tavman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Nine years old and above, yes. We've got a deal in my house - no one gets to see the fourth movie and beyond until they've read the book. Keeps the younger ones out of the loop unless they are highly motivated to read....
- solemnraven, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Hey idiot the Author is from the UK.
Cursing doesn't carry the weight is does to American "readers" - bhattsan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2yes... thats what this is...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Yes indeed.
- qwertylicious, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Should I digg for the 1984 reference or bury for Lack of a capital "W"?
