      You're right. Sheriff Baca is a HUGE Scientology supporter. Now I'm not one for conspiracy theories (check out my previous comments), but there is a lot of evidence here that is too hard to pass up.

      1) Scientologists HATE psychiatry, and have a long history of breaking the law in their assault on psychiatry (and many other things).
      2) Sheriff Baca severely overstepped his authority (the fact that the prosecutor is even considering contempt of court charges is a huge sign of this).
      3) Again, Sheriff Baca is huge Scientologist. Not just a member, but speaks at major galas, etc.
      4) Parris was being treated for a psychological problem. (This you can deduce from the testimony of a psychiatrist)
      5) The judge asked openly why her problems couldn't be treated at the hospital. That's easy if she was being seen by a psychiatrist - because the Sheriff would be greatly opposed to such treatment as a Scientologist.

      Now tell me you wouldn't put it past a Scientologist to release someone like Parris from jail to get her away from Psychiatry and into the Church selling her their crap which they like to claim helps people. Scientology is a criminal organization, not a religion. For those of you who don't know L. Ron Hubbard is a convicted felon. He and his fellow high ranking scientologists were convicted of stealing 43,000 documents from the IRS. Imagine if someone stole that kind of information today with all the identity theft. This is why Scientologists should never be given any position of authority, and why a man like Sheriff Baca is a dangerous individual.

      I'm sorry, I don't know about the rest of you, but the Scientology angle has too much to support it. I don't think it shouldn't be neglected at all. But I suppose your diggs will let me know if you agree with me or not.

      My point in saying I feel bad isn't that I really feel bad for her. But its in the fact that Sheriff Baca totally messed her up. If she just stayed in jail she'd slowly get accustomed to it but instead she was pulled out with a false sense of relief so going back with an even longer sentence makes the situation so much worse.

      I'm sure she'll get out early on good behavior and all that but I think the true justice will come if they can expose what the heck happened to make Sheriff Baca think that letting an inmate go home due to an undisclosed medical issue was the right thing to do. Because at this point he made matters so much worse for her and so much worse for us because we have to hear about it.

      How does this prove anything other than that she doesn't think she deserves to be in jail?

      Also, I doubt anyone spends 90-180 days in jail for driving while on a suspended license.

      Exactly, and I'll do you one more. This is what happens when you alienate and berate everyone around you like they're *****. You get only enemies, and people with sympathy. Had she been a positive figure in the public eye, who knows? Maybe she'd get overwhelming support to keep her out of jail, and it might've changed the court of public opinion. But the outcry and outrage directed at the LA Sheriff's office at this incident made it quite apparent to the prosecuting attorneys and judge what had to be done.

      This, Paris, is what happens, when you treat people like *****! Never have I seen karma manifested so clearly.

I support her paying her debt to society 100% and was glad when I first heard she was going to jail, but this run-around from court to prison to home to court to (likely) prison would probably drive many people slightly crazy. I am sure she would have just rather stayed in jail and finished out her sentence rather than this belief she would get to just serve the remainder of her sentence at home.

    I mean who are we kidding, she isn't the brightest person around (anywhere), and I am sure she got many conflicting stories from the sheriff at the prison to her lawyer/family, judge etc. She has no real idea of what is going on and being shoved back in jail after just leaving probably doesn't help.

    She should have just stayed there, but instead the sheriff had to come up with some dumb excuse about a medical problem. He should have just said it was due to overcrowding in the prison system, which is what this issue is really about.
