I read Tolle's book and it totally elevated every religion, but Christianity--repeatedly he puts down (every chance he gets) the power of the church and Christian thought in western civilization. It's the same ol' new age of yesteryear repacked as the global religion of today. So grateful for Chuck's willingness to stand up in the midst of Hollywood for conservative thought and an absolute truth as much as the rest do relativism. I had no idea this webinar was being offerred, and during Easter?? Sounds to me like another corrupt effort to finally topple Christian thought and movement. I pray the whole world reads this article.

11H1P, on 03/03/2008, -1/+27Good article Chuck. You mentioned the books philosophy contained a, “mix of …Western and Eastern beliefs”. That reminds me of a scripture that says, “You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with eastern ways”

These were some of the pagan religions God detested. I learned long ago God does not like mixing false worship into true religion. And this book like many others is a nice PC mix of them. But God said in the OT, “do not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.' You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way”. Or new we read in the NT, “For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?”

ShemSilber, on 03/03/2008, -2/+11Yes, I enjoyed reading this commentary. It is an excellent example of the spiritual hooliganism of servants of the fallen archangel which we know as satan the devil. On the other hand, we shall have gone a good bit further when we recognize that Yahweh's Word commands the keeping of days most people know nothing about, such as Passover (rather than "easter"--a name of the pagan no-goddess of the moon) and the Feast of Tabernacles (not x-mass, originally and still the "birthday" of the no-god of the sun, "mithra," in spite of the catholic church putting "Jesus'" name on it). In Zechariah 14, for example, we see Yahshua our Messiah leading us in keeping the Feast of Tabernacles as the first observance after His Second Coming. Those who refuse to keep it will have no rain, and, if they still refuse, the resultant plagues, because they will be refusing Yahweh's blessings that would GIVE them rain and good health. (He does not force His blessing on us.) We are all off-base from Yahweh's complete truth. As Revelation 9:12 says, the adversary has deceived the "whole world," all of us. May Yahweh Elohim keep opening our eyes to His truth, until He leads us, with His Son and our Messiah, Yahshua Yahweh, at our head, into His eternal wonderful Kingdom! Great is the Name of Yahweh our Father and Yahshua His Firstborn! Selah, and amein!

The question in my mind is, is Chuck representing Christianity correctly when he go's public with his opposition? From what little I have seen Chuck say in written form he is not qualified. I will not put ANY stock in what Oprah says, as any real Christian will, and I also will not be following Chuck as his understanding of scripture to me is suspect at best.

I cannot prove if either of us are right but I do judge by the things people believe and do if they are Christians. I will continue to obey Scripture by the grace of God the best I can.

However, I do believe that insofar as what someone says lines up with Scripture, we can heartily agree with him on that. As long as what they say is scripturally sound, we can commend them for it. For instance, I would probably say something like, "I don't know Chuck Norris' complete doctrine about all facets of Christianity, but I agree with what he says in this article." That said, I completely share your beliefs about the constantly multiplying heresies from the gurus of what passes for Christianity but really isn't. We must have a thorough and sound understanding of Scripture ourselves so that we aren't sitting ducks for false doctrine.

I am forever amazed at the women who attend her shows, and others, and sit and whoop and hollar at every comment... just proves what I've said for years: this nation is full of stupid people... Wonder what would happen if there were NO giveaways on these shows (i.e., Oprah, Ellen, etc.) then who would stroke their egos? and yet again, who is the sucker? Receiving a $20 'gift' (bribe) just makes the 'stars' that much wealthier..... I admit she has used her money at times for good things... providing a very elaborate school in Africa for a few of the selected... when that money could have built many usable, serviceable schools for MORE children instead of the select group? all this does is make the children more aware of their impoverished existence at home, huh?

In Ecclesiastes, Solomon told us that "there is nothing new under the sun." The false religions in that day attempted to corrupt true faith in the God of the Bible. Today, false religions are still attempting to corrupt the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus told us to watch for the signs of the end of the age. The signs are coming at us at an alarming rate!!

The book of Jude is the last epistle in the Bible. It is placed just before the book of Revelation for a reason. It serves as a warning for true believers to watch out that no one deceives us!

It is interesting to note that Jude begins his epistle with the intention of writing to the recipients about their common salvation.

Then, he abruptly changes his plans. He is led, by the Holy Spirit of God, to write about something else. He wrote, "...I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints."

Jude found it necessary to contend earnestly for the faith! To whom? To the saints - those who belong to Jesus Christ.

Notice the terminology. Was this any kind of "new revelation?" No! We are told to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

There is nothing new under the sun to add to the true gospel of Christ - or, the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

This illustrates the errors, falsehood, heresy, and apostasy being sold to the public by Oprah and her various guru false teachers!

Don't be fooled people!

People will give up their grocery money to buy whatever book she touts as the greatest book ever written and has the answer to all of life's questions. It's sad how so many people follow her like lemmings off a cliff.

Thank you Chuck Norris, for an excellent article. The quote by C.S. Lewis is right on. Jesus is either Lord, a liar or a nut job....He didn't leave us any other option.

I hope that someday, Oprah finds the true way. She is a lost soul, and she will be responsible for leading many astray if she continues down the path she is on. How tragic.

    Thank you for posting Jude! More professing Christians need to read this and take it to heart. I also appreciate your observation of placement of Jude in the Bible right before Revelation! This is much like placement of Malachi prophesying the coming John the Baptist right before the New Testament. We are truly in the last days and must be vigilant, discerning, and contending earnestly for the faith.
    
    I also urge all professing Christians to read 2 Peter. Please read 2 Peter and Jude back to back and pray for discernment of the times!

Isn't it interesting that as in ages past, man is still trying to achieve a utopia through man's efforts, not accepting the fact that as it has not worked in the past, it won't work in the present and it won't work in the future. Man, of himself, is basically selfish, and no matter how much these people want the absolutes/morals to disappear for a perfect humanity, they are too stupid to realize that they just replace them with new absolutes/morals - theirs, continuing the imperfection. Sigh. How Jesus Christ must have ached at the stupidity of the human race.

It's easy to get worried about Ophra and the "new age" but the Bible says that Love covers over a multitude of sins. If we live out our purpose as Christians; to love and serve the lost and to seek and save a hurting world, then Ophras words will seem empty because we Christians will back up our words with action. Rembmer, the Bible also says to love with actions and truth, not just with words. Actions will bring the world to Jesus.

Ever since I read the Left Behind prequels, I don't take those words lightly...especially when they come from those someone selling a "spiritual guide", but making it seem almost benign at the same time. She is not, and it is no coincidence that she has been on the stump for Mr. Obamination from the beginning. When she was in SC, one of her mignons came into our art gallery to make a purchase. He was throwing around all sort of "spiritual" sounding terms as he intimated that Oprah was purchasing some land ,a ranch , in Edisto in order to build a place for people to come and learn about her beliefs. When asked what religion it was based upon, the gentleman responded "Christ". When pressed further because it just didn't ring true, and asked "You mean the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God?" , he quickly changed the subject. Believers know what the Bible says regarding false Christs. Oprah will be revealing a false Christ - I have no doubt about that. Whether or not it will be Obama or some other person, remains to be seen. But interestingly enough, she will undoubtedly be appointed to the "US Department of Peace", a cabinet level position, should Obama win (Kucinech is also big on this) as new age author Marianne Williamson is promoting. I believe Oprah has been groomed by him for a long time. She has risen from the bottom and looks very convincing. Her power is great and when I see the looks on the faces of her happy dupes it is frightening. Oh yes the ant-Christ can also wear a dress. Pray for the souls that will be and have been mislead. This kind of discussion came up on my blog recently. It motivated me to pick up Ed Hindson's book "Antichrist Rising: The Coming Global Storm" again and skim back through it.

It is interesting to note that in his introduction to the book, Hindson writes:

"The term Antichrist may be applied both to an individual and the system he represents."

We can see how the Liberal Anti-Bible Democratic "positions" are the polar opposite of the Conservative Christian Republican positions here in the United States.

Hindson continues:

"Since he (antichrist) will control these structures to his advantage, it is also vital that we renew our commitment to serve the cause of Christ in this world until the Savior calls us home. We have no mandate to surrender this world to Satan. On the contrary, we are called to transform society by the power of the gospel until our work here is done.

Oprah and Obama are like two peas in a pod. Both portray a spirit of anti-Christ through their beliefs.

Obama's beliefs, his policies of liberal licentious immorality* and Marxist type socialism, plus the rabid anti-Christian direction in which he would love to lead our nation, certainly reveals an anti-Christ system of government rule.

*For example: Obama's supports a culture of death attitude. His outright rejection of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act is certainly not a Christian position. The murder of a baby outside the womb of it's mother because of a botched late term abortion is absolutely hideous! Yet, Obama would support a clinic to just let the baby die on a cold, steel examination table simply because he/she was originally earmarked for abortion.

That's just SICK!! And EVIL!!
