- cchasels, on 03/03/2008, -1/+26So glad someone is willing to stand and oppose these false prophets. Thank you Mr. Norris! (And you're forever the gentlemen--more than I would be)
- RickyLS, on 03/03/2008, -1/+26ROCK ON CHUCK! Finally someone willing to stand up against the Oprah-nator! I read Tolle's book and it totally elevated every religion, but Christianity--repeatedly he puts down (every chance he gets) the power of the church and Christian thought in western civilization. It's the same ol' new age of yesteryear repacked as the global religion of today. So grateful for Chuck's willingness to stand up in the midst of Hollywood for conservative thought and an absolute truth as much as the rest do relativism. I had no idea this webinar was being offerred, and during Easter?? Sounds to me like another corrupt effort to finally topple Christian thought and movement. I pray the whole world reads this article.
- congresssucks, on 03/03/2008, -1/+28Never have cared for Oprah or her new age thinking. Just another false prophet spouting platitudes with no real proof of world worth. Just more junk from the candy store that taste good with no lasting healthy effects on the body or the soul. With this she gathers up millions for Hell while making millions and is praised for it.
- roadnottaken, on 03/03/2008, -9/+2If you left out the words "for Hell" you'd have a much stronger argument.
- Nannybell, on 03/07/2008, -0/+1Leaving out hell is leaving out the whole truth.
- veeew, on 03/03/2008, -1/+12Actually, "for Hell" is a true statement and it illustrates truly where Oprah is leading millions. He is right to include that statement because it is Biblically true.
- roadnottaken, on 03/03/2008, -9/+2If you left out the words "for Hell" you'd have a much stronger argument.
- goinup, on 03/03/2008, -2/+27Thankyou Chuck. Oprah has always been a New Age hack.
- Mtnman12, on 03/03/2008, -2/+26Thanks Chuck for standing up to the great O. She could probably become president if she wanted but oh, she has already helped her man, B. Hussein Obama. - 11H1P, on 03/03/2008, -1/+27Good article Chuck. You mentioned the books philosophy contained a, “mix of …Western and Eastern beliefs”. That reminds me of a scripture that says, “You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with eastern ways”
These were some of the pagan religions God detested. I learned long ago God does not like mixing false worship into true religion. And this book like many others is a nice PC mix of them. But God said in the OT, “do not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.' You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way”. Or new we read in the NT, “For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?”
Appreciate your work. - ShemSilber, on 03/03/2008, -2/+11Yes, I enjoyed reading this commentary. It is an excellent example of the spiritual hooliganism of servants of the fallen archangel which we know as satan the devil. On the other hand, we shall have gone a good bit further when we recognize that Yahweh's Word commands the keeping of days most people know nothing about, such as Passover (rather than "easter"--a name of the pagan no-goddess of the moon) and the Feast of Tabernacles (not x-mass, originally and still the "birthday" of the no-god of the sun, "mithra," in spite of the catholic church putting "Jesus'" name on it). In Zechariah 14, for example, we see Yahshua our Messiah leading us in keeping the Feast of Tabernacles as the first observance after His Second Coming. Those who refuse to keep it will have no rain, and, if they still refuse, the resultant plagues, because they will be refusing Yahweh's blessings that would GIVE them rain and good health. (He does not force His blessing on us.) We are all off-base from Yahweh's complete truth. As Revelation 9:12 says, the adversary has deceived the "whole world," all of us. May Yahweh Elohim keep opening our eyes to His truth, until He leads us, with His Son and our Messiah, Yahshua Yahweh, at our head, into His eternal wonderful Kingdom! Great is the Name of Yahweh our Father and Yahshua His Firstborn! Selah, and amein!
- Christinewjc, on 03/03/2008, -0/+4Shemsilber,
I often refer to it as Resurrection Sunday. It appeals to the true meaning of the day, why we celebrate it and for Whom. Christ is Risen! Amen! - victorypup, on 03/03/2008, -0/+4I appreciate your perspective Shem, the so called Christian holidays do not reflect anything Biblical. Easter, or Ishtar is a pagan celebration no doubt invented to gather early pagans under religious dominion. Three days and three nights Christ was in the grave. No possible way can you derive that from afternoon Friday to Before daylight Sunday. The lack of scholarship in arguing for the Romish concepts can never substitute for the Truth.
- TexasJew, on 03/03/2008, -0/+4You took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you.
- Christinewjc, on 03/03/2008, -0/+4Shemsilber,
- mcyrus, on 03/03/2008, -11/+3The real difficulty here is that there is precisely NO difference in end state and almost none in methodology between the Norris sponsored Globalist Huckabee and Oprah's 'new earth' folks. Norris's guy is guided by no less than the head of the America hating and Christian hating CFR...and at least Oprah is open and direct about what she believes...and not attempting to deceive people with fake religious like Norris sponsored Huckabee...
- veeew, on 03/03/2008, -2/+6Unfortunately, you are probably correct. Huckabee's ties to the CFR and his profession of faith do not mix. I truly believe he is a deceiver simply based on his past record that he refuses to even admit, let alone repent of. Perhaps Norris is simply unaware...who really knows?
- jetjockey, on 03/03/2008, -3/+1how would you know you are a heathen yourself. don't try to fool people you are such a goody two shoes...You are not you are simply a wolf in sheeps clothing looking for recognition from your betters
- robertrutger, on 03/03/2008, -1/+19It is refreshing to see Chuck back in his element, away from seemingly every other article promoting the Chuckabee. Oprah Winfrey is a fraud, and may in fact be the most dangerous women is the western hemisphere. She on occasion, passes herself off as a christian, but then completely dilutes the traditional christian message with this self-centered, straight from the pit of hell concocted, deadly spiritual elixir. She uses her billion dollar empire to deceive the masses spiritually, and then throws her influence behind a presidential candidate who is an overt Marxist. It is high time to expose the O for what she is,...
- Chitownmortgage, on 03/03/2008, -1/+22Pray for those deceived by this.

There is a Way through Jesus Christ. - karishore, on 03/03/2008, -1/+16I hope all you agree with Chuck Norris about this book. We should all take a stand and go out and BUY a Bible and use it... or give one away. We already know the Bible is and has always been "a best seller." But let's revive it with purchasing another one just to show the guru authors where they really stand... Who knows? Maybe Oprah will have the Bible on her Book of the Month Club?
- Taquoshi, on 03/03/2008, -0/+6Please don't hold your breath. 'tain't likely to happen, if ya know what I mean.

Bible prophecy is being fulfilled on a daily basis..... - michael4lsu, on 03/03/2008, -2/+15So even Oprah is trying to lead people into the One World Religion, where people ultimately will end up worshiping Lucifer. And the millions of women who idolize this woman will be deceived along with her. It's up to we Christians to counter this attack. We have to be out there trying to bring others to Jesus while these Luciferians are trying to bring others into slavery and hell.
- victorypup, on 03/03/2008, -1/+13Oprah quite clearly represents the god of this world. Just look at the following this god has. Many professing themselves to be "Christian" hang on her every word. It's good for somebody to draw a line.
- Mom2GIQM, on 03/04/2008, -0/+3Okay. Now that's just a scary thought. I can't really disagree with what you have said, but I shudder to realize the impact of the truth of that. Even in our own church, too many people (and pastors) rely on information from the world of Oprah.
- victorypup, on 03/04/2008, -0/+4It is a reality. Speaks volumes to the path Christians have taken. Jesus said "straight is the way and narrow is the gate...."
- ROaks, on 03/04/2008, -0/+4Okay, if a church has a pastor that is teaching or relying on any other message other than the message of the Bible or adding to the message of the Bible, that church had better get a new pastor , if that cannot happen and they are truly blood bought, born again they had better shake the dust of that church of f their shoes and find a true body of believers.

- FundGuy, on 03/03/2008, -7/+3Oprah is lost, does any Christian not know this? What Christian does not oppose the teaching about life with a lost person? The question in my mind is, is Chuck representing Christianity correctly when he go's public with his opposition? From what little I have seen Chuck say in written form he is not qualified. I will not put ANY stock in what Oprah says, as any real Christian will, and I also will not be following Chuck as his understanding of scripture to me is suspect at best.
- Mom2GIQM, on 03/04/2008, -0/+3Were the disciples qualified? How about Saul, the persecutor of Christians?
By your own logic, you should not be calling into question Chuck's qualifications because you're not qualified either.
Sadly, even Christians take "stock" in Oprah. But apparently...you're the only one who knows who the "true" Christians are...so maybe none of those Christians who watch Oprah are "true" Christians.- FundGuy, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1Christians are commanded in the Scripture to question anyones qualifications. Also, you and I clearly disagree if real Christians take "stock" in Oprah's "gospel". People who are taking "stock" in a different "gospel" are not in the will of God. And yes, I question if they are real Christians. You, on the other hand, believe that real Christians can and do take "stock" in Oprah's "gospel". I cannot prove if either of us are right but I do judge by the things people believe and do if they are Christians. I will continue to obey Scripture by the grace of God the best I can.
- Nannybell, on 03/07/2008, -0/+1FundGuy, I totally agree with you that we shouldn't follow anyone but Christ as revealed in Scripture, especially someone whose qualifications and complete set of doctrine we don't know for sure. However, I do believe that insofar as what someone says lines up with Scripture, we can heartily agree with him on that. As long as what they say is scripturally sound, we can commend them for it. For instance, I would probably say something like, "I don't know Chuck Norris' complete doctrine about all facets of Christianity, but I agree with what he says in this article." That said, I completely share your beliefs about the constantly multiplying heresies from the gurus of what passes for Christianity but really isn't. We must have a thorough and sound understanding of Scripture ourselves so that we aren't sitting ducks for false doctrine.
- rjwusa, on 03/05/2008, -0/+2"...Christians are commanded in the Scripture to question any ones qualifications...."
Then you won't mind if I question YOUR qualifications and ask that you cite chapter and verse and any other corroborating information that may enable the rest of us to try to determine if you are a true believer in Jesus Christ, or simply a wolf in sheep's clothing, masquerading as a Bible believing Christian?
- Mom2GIQM, on 03/04/2008, -0/+3Were the disciples qualified? How about Saul, the persecutor of Christians?
- nippinawassee, on 03/03/2008, -0/+12Who he is? A half-baked 'author' - why is he here? For Oprah to convince yet more suckers that she is an authority on themes such as this, thus making him wealthy from sales of books that probably wouldn't have made much $$... I am forever amazed at the women who attend her shows, and others, and sit and whoop and hollar at every comment... just proves what I've said for years: this nation is full of stupid people... Wonder what would happen if there were NO giveaways on these shows (i.e., Oprah, Ellen, etc.) then who would stroke their egos? and yet again, who is the sucker? Receiving a $20 'gift' (bribe) just makes the 'stars' that much wealthier..... I admit she has used her money at times for good things... providing a very elaborate school in Africa for a few of the selected... when that money could have built many usable, serviceable schools for MORE children instead of the select group? all this does is make the children more aware of their impoverished existence at home, huh?
- Christinewjc, on 03/03/2008, -1/+14I have written about Oprah's gospel before.
http://talkwisdom.blogspot.com/2007/06/oprahs-gosp ...
Just did a search over at Herescope, and dozens of articles can be read at this link that expose Oprah and her New Age gurus and heresy.
http://herescope.blogspot.com/search?q=Oprah
In Ecclesiastes, Solomon told us that "there is nothing new under the sun." The false religions in that day attempted to corrupt true faith in the God of the Bible. Today, false religions are still attempting to corrupt the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jesus told us to watch for the signs of the end of the age. The signs are coming at us at an alarming rate!!
The book of Jude is the last epistle in the Bible. It is placed just before the book of Revelation for a reason. It serves as a warning for true believers to watch out that no one deceives us!
It is interesting to note that Jude begins his epistle with the intention of writing to the recipients about their common salvation.
Then, he abruptly changes his plans. He is led, by the Holy Spirit of God, to write about something else. He wrote, "...I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints."
Jude found it necessary to contend earnestly for the faith! To whom? To the saints - those who belong to Jesus Christ.
Notice the terminology. Was this any kind of "new revelation?" No! We are told to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
There is nothing new under the sun to add to the true gospel of Christ - or, the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
This illustrates the errors, falsehood, heresy, and apostasy being sold to the public by Oprah and her various guru false teachers!
Don't be fooled people!
Read Jude and be forewarned!
From the Blue Letter Bible
New King James Version
Jud 1:1 JUDE, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James,
To those who are called, sanctified[fn1] by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:
Jud 1:2 Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
Jud 1:3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
Jud 1:4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God[fn2] and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jud 1:5 But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
Jud 1:6 And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day;
Jud 1:7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Jud 1:8 Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.
Jud 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"
Jud 1:10 But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.
Jud 1:11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.
Jud 1:12 These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about[fn3] by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;
Jud 1:13 raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
Jud 1:14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,
Jud 1:15 "to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."
Jud 1:16 These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage.
Jud 1:17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Jud 1:18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts.
Jud 1:19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
Jud 1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Jud 1:21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jud 1:22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction;[fn4]
Jud 1:23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire,[fn5] hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.
Jud 1:24 Now to Him who is able to keep you[fn6] from stumbling,
And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
Jud 1:25 To God our Savior,[fn7]
Who alone is wise,[fn8]
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,[fn9]
Both now and forever.
Amen.

People will give up their grocery money to buy whatever book she touts as the greatest book ever written and has the answer to all of life's questions. It's sad how so many people follow her like lemmings off a cliff.
Thank you Chuck Norris, for an excellent article. The quote by C.S. Lewis is right on. Jesus is either Lord, a liar or a nut job....He didn't leave us any other option.
I hope that someday, Oprah finds the true way. She is a lost soul, and she will be responsible for leading many astray if she continues down the path she is on. How tragic.- Christinewjc, on 03/03/2008, -0/+8Very well said, LifeguardMom!

Thank you for posting Jude! More professing Christians need to read this and take it to heart. I also appreciate your observation of placement of Jude in the Bible right before Revelation! This is much like placement of Malachi prophesying the coming John the Baptist right before the New Testament. We are truly in the last days and must be vigilant, discerning, and contending earnestly for the faith.
I also urge all professing Christians to read 2 Peter. Please read 2 Peter and Jude back to back and pray for discernment of the times!

- LovestheWord, on 03/03/2008, -1/+10Thank you so much, Mr. Norris, for speaking truth in such a darkening world. Isn't it interesting that as in ages past, man is still trying to achieve a utopia through man's efforts, not accepting the fact that as it has not worked in the past, it won't work in the present and it won't work in the future. Man, of himself, is basically selfish, and no matter how much these people want the absolutes/morals to disappear for a perfect humanity, they are too stupid to realize that they just replace them with new absolutes/morals - theirs, continuing the imperfection. Sigh. How Jesus Christ must have ached at the stupidity of the human race.
- brothaslide, on 03/03/2008, -2/+4As disciples of Jesus (Christians), what are we showing the world that will draw the world to us? It's easy to get worried about Ophra and the "new age" but the Bible says that Love covers over a multitude of sins. If we live out our purpose as Christians; to love and serve the lost and to seek and save a hurting world, then Ophras words will seem empty because we Christians will back up our words with action. Rembmer, the Bible also says to love with actions and truth, not just with words. Actions will bring the world to Jesus.
- crimsonclean, on 03/04/2008, -0/+4Brother,
I say this in all earnestness. Your words sound good, but it seems you have been indoctrinated into the social Gospel mindset. Oprah's errors need to be pointed out so those with ears to hear will not be led astray. Love will not cover her multitude of sins if she does not repent and remaining silent in the face of her dissemination of a false gospel is not love at all. If we love, we will warn of error. I do not remain silent when my children are running into the street.- ROaks, on 03/04/2008, -0/+2Amen crimsonclean, I was going to go back to brothaslide, but you said all that needed to be said. - Mom2GIQM, on 03/04/2008, -0/+4Whenever I see the words "spiritual guide" I get creeped out. Ever since I read the Left Behind prequels, I don't take those words lightly...especially when they come from those someone selling a "spiritual guide", but making it seem almost benign at the same time. Spirit Guide or Spiritual Guide have nothing to do with God...they are demons. Of course, books will never sell with that sort of truth and people will rarely walk willingly into the arms of Satan.
New Age is just Paganism Redux. - crimsonclean, on 03/04/2008, -0/+3Eckhart Tolle and Oprah are teaching the same conclusions that millions in the "church" will reach after engaging in "spiritual formation/disciplines" otherwise known as "contemplative prayer."
Be warned...the fruit of these practices is panentheism...the belief that God is all and is in all...that each person is inherently good and divine...that we are gods or worse, God....that we are one...that Jesus was just "a" way to God and not "The Way."
Those with ears to hear will separate from assemblies who advocate spiritual formation, spiritual disciplines, or contemplative prayer (which includes lectio divina, labyrinths, repetetive prayers, or the silence.) - casurveyor, on 03/04/2008, -1/+1This is neopaganism. Throw Opra in to start the festivities. - these3remain, on 03/04/2008, -1/+6It is amazing to me how many "Christians" think that Oprah is a Christian. She is not, and it is no coincidence that she has been on the stump for Mr. Obamination from the beginning. When she was in SC, one of her mignons came into our art gallery to make a purchase. He was throwing around all sort of "spiritual" sounding terms as he intimated that Oprah was purchasing some land ,a ranch , in Edisto in order to build a place for people to come and learn about her beliefs. When asked what religion it was based upon, the gentleman responded "Christ". When pressed further because it just didn't ring true, and asked "You mean the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God?" , he quickly changed the subject. Believers know what the Bible says regarding false Christs. Oprah will be revealing a false Christ - I have no doubt about that. Whether or not it will be Obama or some other person, remains to be seen. But interestingly enough, she will undoubtedly be appointed to the "US Department of Peace", a cabinet level position, should Obama win (Kucinech is also big on this) as new age author Marianne Williamson is promoting. You can watch the video here:

I think you meant to say, "one of her [Oprah's] 'minions." Mignon is a type of prime meat! lol On second thought...perhaps you are correct. All of these "followers" of Obama and Oprah are just that...pieces of meat being used to feed their non-biblical, false Christ agenda!
The reaction of that man in your art gallery is very interesting. Scripture tells us:
Rom 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Minister of Controversy
Obama was not the only national African-American figure to cozy up to Wright. TV host Oprah Winfrey once described herself as a congregant, but in recent years has disassociated herself from the controversial minister.
A visit to Wright's Trinity United is anything but Oprah-style friendly. - iservehim, on 03/04/2008, -1/+4It saddens me so to see how people use their power to portray good. We forget that Satan can do good for his own profit. I believe Oprah has been groomed by him for a long time. She has risen from the bottom and looks very convincing. Her power is great and when I see the looks on the faces of her happy dupes it is frightening. Oh yes the ant-Christ can also wear a dress. Pray for the souls that will be and have been mislead. Thanks Chuck for having the courage to stand up to the prince of darkness. You will be blessed.
- Christinewjc, on 03/04/2008, -1/+3While Jesus walked the earth during his ministry, he warned us that the "spirit" of anti-Christ is already in the world
This kind of discussion came up on my blog recently. It motivated me to pick up Ed Hindson's book "Antichrist Rising: The Coming Global Storm" again and skim back through it.
It is interesting to note that in his introduction to the book, Hindson writes:
"The term Antichrist may be applied both to an individual and the system he represents."
We can see how the Liberal Anti-Bible Democratic "positions" are the polar opposite of the Conservative Christian Republican positions here in the United States.
Hindson continues:
"Since he (antichrist) will control these structures to his advantage, it is also vital that we renew our commitment to serve the cause of Christ in this world until the Savior calls us home. We have no mandate to surrender this world to Satan. On the contrary, we are called to transform society by the power of the gospel until our work here is done.
Oprah and Obama are like two peas in a pod. Both portray a spirit of anti-Christ through their beliefs.
Obama's beliefs, his policies of liberal licentious immorality* and Marxist type socialism, plus the rabid anti-Christian direction in which he would love to lead our nation, certainly reveals an anti-Christ system of government rule.
*For example: Obama's supports a culture of death attitude. His outright rejection of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act is certainly not a Christian position. The murder of a baby outside the womb of it's mother because of a botched late term abortion is absolutely hideous! Yet, Obama would support a clinic to just let the baby die on a cold, steel examination table simply because he/she was originally earmarked for abortion.
That's just SICK!! And EVIL!! - slownsteady70, on 03/05/2008, -1/+4Lines are being drawn in the sand every day and Christians have to be clear about what is going on. Unfortunately, even well meaning Cults of Personality like Oprah are being led astray.
Thank you, Chuck Norris, for your fight to open the eyes of those being deceived; I support you, and many others 'who see' do as well.
