Not "anyone" could have taken the photos. The work is not hitting the shutter button, its everything else.. set up, pre-production, post production work, etc. Its a ***** of work.

My girlfriend did a photo shoot like this a couple of months ago, with the same make-up style and 'look pretty/friendly/interesting into the camera'-kind of feel to it. I don't like it.
It's kinda hard to admit especially if it's your girlfriend, but there something about these 'deliberate' photoshoots that annoys me. I guess it may be just that I'm not that big a fan of make-up anyway. My point is that my girlfriend has the same funny, musical energy inside of her that Natalie showed when she did the gangsta rap for SNL.
However stunningly well made these photographs are, I like to see that side of girls more than I like the 'picture perfect' setting. It's so flat and static.
Maybe if this same photographer had been present at the recording session where she did the comments for Garden State with Zach Braff... - haxx4, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14You *****.

This makes Natalie Portman 18 years old in itsxtian's picture and the fact that she was playing a 14 year old doesn't change that.

She doesn't look the least bit comfortable in nearly all of these pictures. She doesn't look natural or candid and she holds herself rather awkwardly in most of these photos.
