- rescu911, on 11/09/2008, -7/+47As classy, elegant, and intelligent as our future first lady is, she'd have to work really hard to wear something that didn't look chic.
- JenniferInMO, on 11/09/2008, -14/+51We need another First Family the world can love. It brings attention to the good in our country. The Obamas are just what we need.
- thepoliticalcat, on 11/10/2008, -7/+30She's sensible enough to buy clothing that (1) looks great on her (2) costs about what most of us could budget ($140 for a dress?) for; (3) is created by American designers. Take THAT, Sarah Palin!
- inactive, on 11/10/2008, -8/+25Buried as who gives a *****.
- vinigrette, on 11/10/2008, -3/+20I agree that she's stylish.. but somehow it feels shallow to discuss where she bought which item of clothing and for how much..
- CosmoKramer, on 11/10/2008, -4/+19If she starts wearing cargo shorts and black t-shirts with metal bands then I'll be impressed.

Perhaps you should opt out of this category in your prefs. - rukeypoo, on 11/10/2008, -16/+29Will you guys quit digging articles about Michelle Obama's ***** clothing?
- MeatMountain, on 11/10/2008, -1/+13Im 29 years old. I have been an adult for 11 years. 8 of those years were Bush years, and the few Clinton years were marred by his dumb infidelity and the hypocrisy of those in glass houses trying to impeach him.
For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country. - JenniferInMO, on 11/09/2008, -1/+11You are disgusting.
- GrodyChamp, on 11/10/2008, -1/+10Who cares? Why is this news? Burried for being incredibly pointless.
- musicisourhigh, on 11/10/2008, -3/+10I like the way she dresses and the main thing is feeling comfortable in what you wear. As long as she feels good in it really who cares what others think. Isn't that the mindset that we want our youth to grow up with, dressing for themselves.
- Phylter, on 11/09/2008, -1/+6Go ***** yourself, racist *****! Project much? YOU are an example of what went wrong with this country.
Your side lost, STFU. - kevinwiz, on 11/10/2008, -1/+6I'm willing to bet that 99% of the black people that voted for Obama feel the same way as Michelle does. You have to look at it from their perspective.
- citizenrobot, on 11/10/2008, -0/+5Love that she wore H&M - proves you can look amazing for less than $50!
- treeflappa, on 11/10/2008, -1/+6I'm really creeped out by it. Has everyone been hypnotised into believing he is the new messiah and he's not even president yet!!
- inactive, on 11/10/2008, -6/+11I was flipping channels and saw "BREAKING NEWS - Obama departs White House after tour"
GOD DAMN THIS *****. Move the hell on. - Aadain, on 11/10/2008, -0/+5I think if that was ALL was ever spoken of the next First Lady, then I'd agree. But take a step back and view it more as a glimpse into what kind of First Lady she will be, and compare that to Mrs. McCain.
Mrs. Obama has a much more down-to-earth, middle-America style to her. Mrs. McCain was all about the $$$$ and appearing higher class than the average American. That hints at a night and day difference in personality and agendas.
I think Mrs. Obama won't be on a pedestal like Mrs. McCain would have been, but more approachable and more likely to 'get her hands dirty' so to speak. I think the programs she will champion will be very practical and effective over the next 4/8 years. - inactive, on 11/10/2008, -0/+4What do you think most liberal diggtards do for a living, sell hemp bracelets?
- inactive, on 11/10/2008, -3/+7Sounds like a great comedy to me: The Obamas.
- Jeepinator, on 11/10/2008, -3/+7Actually this article describes a $1250 rose print dress she wore at the convention. That's hardly within reach of most American women. The Obama family is still another rich family in the White House.
- charm803, on 11/09/2008, -2/+6Don't feed the troll.
- chickenloco, on 11/10/2008, -9/+12I don't really see where she is coming from style wise, myself... A few of her outfits have been hideous. Just being honest.
- twistaspliff, on 11/10/2008, -3/+6OMFG! This is news? WHO ***** CARES!?!
The whole world is going through a financial meltdown, and the mainstream media thinks this is more important? That's right, sheeple... go back to consuming, we have it all under control. Keep shopping or the terrorists win! - TheR3dMenace, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3Introduce a Bill abolishing 24hr "News" networks should be Obama's first move as president
- Bloodwine, on 11/10/2008, -9/+12Is anybody else creeped out by the hero worship that the Obamas are getting?
- Leviathan433, on 11/10/2008, -6/+9Wear. And by the way - you are an ass.
- caulkrocket, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3FLILF?
- Dreamzville, on 11/10/2008, -1/+4It's not my "style" too much either to talk labels/prices....but I admit, I'm intrigued enough to learn (=grin=)!
- CaLaVa, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3dugg for that comment.
- Fuel90, on 11/10/2008, -1/+3Word.
- kismetropolis, on 11/09/2008, -1/+3Thanks for reminding us all how far we have to go yet to eradicate hate and racism in this country and in the world.
You've been reported for being offensive, too. - ICLW, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2"And there are signs she might get America shopping again."
Someone missed last weeks South Park me thinks. - Aadain, on 11/10/2008, -1/+3Also, I want to add that most men have several suits in the closets, and if they get a really nice one it is easily over $1000. Once you throw in the shoes and a few ties, you are easily up to $1250. So bashing Mrs. Obama for having a $1250 is really pretty pointless. Now, if she had a $10,000 dress it would be a different story.
- jamshid, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2No, I'm not creeped out by the hero worship, it's to be expected. I'd be a lot more worried if Americans had no optimism left, if they didn't think a change was necessary, if they didn't believe that our new leader can lead us out of the ***** hole the last eight years have put us in.
- inactive, on 11/10/2008, -1/+3As opposed to the Bush's?
- twistaspliff, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2I'm not even American, you idiot. Maybe that's why I have enough common sense to know that this ***** is NOT news. When are you morons going to pull your heads out of your asses and actually STAND UP for your Country instead of worrying about buying more useless ***** that you don't need?
- anillop, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2Sorry i don't think she is in high school anymore.
- DiggsOnlyJew, on 11/10/2008, -4/+6Yeah great style...

Here she is in her stylish wizard robe: http://www.moonbattery.com/michelle-obama-raising- ... - Angostura, on 11/10/2008, -1/+3I'm almost tempted to post this on FreeRepublic, just to see the little veins throb in their foreheads. But I won't.
Probably.
I have to say though, I'm going to bury it as lame, on the grounds that really... it is. - GiggleStick, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2getting/forcing.... Hmmm..
- Barackalypse, on 11/10/2008, -1/+3When I said the Obamas were style over substance, I didn't literally mean style, but oh well, I like her clothes better than he politics.
- GVR90, on 11/10/2008, -2/+3Anybody else think she is sort of hot/sexy? IDK...
- harrisbradley, on 11/10/2008, -1/+2Horrible Dress
- vinigrette, on 11/10/2008, -1/+2Good point! Cindy McCain just freaks me out. And the colors she wore during the campaign really washed out her out, bleached and pale as she was to begin with. You can almost see the Botox running through her veins.. uughh.
- gordigor, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1Wow! bitter.
- secrity, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1She must have had some coaching since then.
- inactive, on 11/10/2008, -1/+2This is pathetic.
- kingmanic, on 11/10/2008, -1/+2This is America, and she's the president elects wife. All the people who care about what britney spears is doing or who paris hilton is doing likely also care what Mrs. Obama is wearing. While I think there are more important things to care about, the fact that YOU and ME are commenting means to some extent we both care. Congratulations and making both of us part of the problem.
- BuryBrigade08, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1Most are unemployed students at low ranked universities - probably making less than $10,000 a year. But $10,000 for a dress - thats change, I tell you.
