...oh and to the people who are tired of MJ stories, don't read them..but some of us were bigger fans than others. I wasn't that affected by Heath Ledger's death, but I didn't go knock every story about him down because I knew he had well deserved fans. At any rate, I disagree. If you look at the comments here, you will notice that the people who would make dickish "jokes" in life are still doing so after his death. Except they aren't jokes any more. They are just ugly, judgemental comments. For the rest of us, he wasn't really relevant for the past ten years or so at least, but that doesn't mean he didn't make good music we enjoyed over the course of his lifetime. Again, death brings new context, and it should be unsurprising that some of us who just weren't really thinking about Michael Jackson last weak are now giving him a few plays and reflecting on how influential he was in American music and culture. That's still a few cry from idolization.
