...Heat at 350 degrees for 10-13 minutes - nicksauce, on 10/11/2007, -10/+92I'd like to be her derivative, so I could lie tangent to her curves.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+68I'd like to ***** her in the ass and tweak her little nips.... err, integral and stuff.
- cherrick, on 10/11/2007, -7/+70Having no sense of humour makes you attractive and will get you laid.
- geekfrom99, on 10/11/2007, -5/+57repetition makes you attractive and will get you laid (crosses fingers)
- simiya, on 10/11/2007, -0/+40Try counting some sheep instead.. get some sleep buddy.

Is this some new pickup line I was unaware of? - sfrench, on 10/11/2007, -2/+35@wbeavis: "36-24-36"
Only if she's 5'3" - DrDragun, on 10/11/2007, -5/+35I bet Fred Savage wishes he could still hit that
- wbeavis, on 10/11/2007, -2/+32Q: What's the square root of 69?
A: 8 something. - ebob9, on 10/11/2007, -2/+28Dugg for the good math reference. However, if you were her derivative - wouldn't that make your post a bit incestuous?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+26That's fallacious... it should be:
if Danica McKellar = Hottest Mathematician Ever
and Winne Cooper = Danica Mckellar
then Winnie Cooper = Hottest Mathematician Ever
It's a syllogism, not a proof. - sax1johno, on 10/11/2007, -2/+26I'd like to be part of her integral, so I could lie in the area beneath her. . .
- nicksauce, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19I'd like to be her second derivative so I could investigate her concavities ;)
- Elranzer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15"Being a sexist makes you attractive and will get you laid."
Actually, didn't we have an article on Digg months ago proving this? - greengiant2684, on 10/11/2007, -1/+162(a^2 - ab) = 1(a^2 - ab)
2 = 1
a^2 - ab = 0
cannot divide by zero r-tard - andr3y, on 10/11/2007, -2/+16i would like to know her Eigenvalues, so that i can solve her equations.
- ClayDragon, on 10/11/2007, -6/+19I'd add my body to hers, subtract my clothes, divide her legs and then multiply.
- bIuebonics, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12invalid proofs are only funny when someone posits them as valid :P

- nanananini, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6@ emanpa68:
a^2 = ab therefore a^2 - ab = 0
wtf have you been smoking? - Smog2k, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Her Stuff Magazine spread was "wonder"ful
*fred savage kicks himself* - zephc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6If she's so smart, can she explain this stinkfest? http://imdb.com/title/tt0420225/
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Well, um, shouldn't she be a math teacher if she wants to get girls involved in math?
- jeezmos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4greengiant2684 had it right (you can't divide by 0).
let a=1 (thus b=1); (a^2 - ab) = 1^2 - 1*1 = 1-1 = 0
let a=2 (thus b=2); (a^2 - ab) = 2^2 - 2*2 = 4-4 = 0
let a=-1 (thus b=-1); (a^2 - ab) = -1^2 - -1*-1 = 1-1 = 0
no matter what, a^2 = ab, thus a^2-ab is always going to = 0
see this with more explanation at http://www.jimloy.com/algebra/two.htm - feenikz4180, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8she's hot
- hiPpymIck, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4the text book is aimed at a particular age group (12-13 yo)
..to stop them losing interest
- MattB123, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Smart + Hot = Yummy
But in all seriousness, that's cool what she's doing. - Ventolin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Anyone else click the link just to see what Winnie looks like today...and then was glad they did?
- djempirical, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4she's got a Kevin Bacon number *and* and Erdos number!
- greengiant2684, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3wow, do i really have to revisit this?
a^2 = ab
subtract ab from both sides
a^2 - ab = ab - ab
a^2 - ab = 0 - derjames, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3holy crap you are right...
- swordedge, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4only if you can't wrap your mind around the concept that the species is called man and not person.
- jasz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4@HunterTV
oh wow... my pants are happy now.. thanks for posting... - Freakwit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2http://www.textfiles.com/humor/impurmat.hum
- dygel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I don't agree. I don't think you're going to get girls interested in mathematics by rephrasing the subject material in terms of familiar (though hackeneyed) things. That will get you THROUGH the subject matter, sure. That may help someone figure out the constructs, but it doesn't help foster sincere interest.
In other words, it takes a mathematician to look at a dating scenario and build that into a mathematical theory (I'm referring to John Nash here, kids), but if you just try to relate a mathematical problem to someone as a dating scenario it isn't going to make them into a mathematician. - bIuebonics, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4also, they lost me at: "From her math classes, McKellar learned that solving probabilities wasn’t going to solve the biggest math problem in the United States: “Girls fear math,” she says." ... i was waiting to read about the validity of the riemann hypothesis. math has bigger "problems" than silly social stigmas... :P
- hiPpymIck, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3i cant even begin to think what it must be like
not to have the 'shorthand' of numbers
FTA
"The book hones in on middle school’s trickiest points-––like fractions, ratios, and percentages—and presents them in a style that’s appropriate for the cool kids’ lunch table. Figure out your “type” in boys and you’ll understand greatest common factors. All of those iced lattes celebrities drink make multiplying fractions tasty. Plus, savvy shopping requires killer decimal skills."
..good approach IMHO - korashime2001, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I know allot of the smarter members of the human race don't like to concern themselves with public affairs. But sooner or later, the egg-heads have to come to the realization, that courting young ones while they're young, will pay off in huge dividends down the road.
As much as I would love for the youth of America to not be so image obsessed, we have to get over this fact, and use it to recruit.
Every facet of society (professional, religious, etc) should consider the molding of young apprentices their top priority. It's the only way you can sustain that facet. Problems will come and go, and the ones that don't go, will only be solved if you plan for your successor.
I think that's why I consider McKellar's focus so 'spot-on!'. - adlep, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I wish I can digg it 50 times.
Big props for her. She is very attractive & smart. - swordedge, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2a hundred years ago before calculators and adding machines, math was considered the province of women. They did the grunt work of performing the tedious calculations.
- StayPuft, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Does she only have that one paper or is she an active mathematics researcher?
- way2muchsense, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2greengiant wins the thread. 2(x) = 1(x) iff x=0
- jeffeb3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1don't you think a book comparing lattes to math would only exaggerate the woman != math stereotype?
Also, I though the most recent trend was that males were starting to fail math? Now where did I read that.... - VastAwakening, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1good observation... wonder how many will get the reference
- TheMadRhino, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3she also needs to know how many pairs of shoes she can buy before her husband's credit card is maxed out
