They get paid so much money to do so little, there are musicians and actors out there who are much more talented, work much harder, and get paid a tiny fraction of what these celebrities make. What do you think most celebrities spend their $20m per movie on? Charities? Homeless? Do they go to the studio and say "no thankyou, you keep $19m so you don't have to fire those 300 other crew members". No, they turn out as rich lazy wastes-of-space. Mel Gibson becomes an anti-semitic alcoholic. Lindsay Lohan becomes a spoilt-brat, in spite of the lack of musical talent to begin with. We've got Tom Cruise and John Travolta spending thousands (or millions?) of dollars to fund those evil Scientologists, giving them the means to recruit more people, and go after any critics who oppose them, or file lawsuits against people like Matt and Trey who try to let people know what Scientology really is. There are a few celebrities out there who are nice people, and stay firmly grounded in reality. But so many more need to get kicked back out into the real world and re-learn what it's like to have to work hard for money. I'm done ranting...

What really burns me about this woman (read: skank) is that she has zero appreciation for how she got where she is.
She honestly believes it was her own talent and 'hard work' that made her famous. She has complete contempt for press, fans, producers, directors, agents, aids, and anyone else who revolves around her to keep her in the limelight. She is spoiled and sadly won't ever grow out of it.
There are more than enough banks, credit cards, and bankruptcy courts that will allow her to milk the dying embers of her former celebrity to the point where she dies of an overdose or is run over in the streets or appears on Hollywood Squares. All you need to do is look at other "celebs" that lost the plot over the years to see it won't make them either learn or go away.

I have seen some really good press photos of her, yet I see her in public all natural and its a huge let down. - shakin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6The problem with modern pop singers (and rock bands for that matter) is that they don't actually sing or play as good as they sound. Professional recording technology is literally so good it can turn anyone into a "pro".
For example, if you went into a studio and banged away on a drum kit for a while, software can rework what you played into a perfect drum loop for a song. If you sang a song another piece of software can fix your voice, changing the tune as needed and fixing your poor range. Some voice fixing like tune changing can actually be done at live shows and introduce only a 3ms delay!
Not all pop singers do this, but a lot do. Some rock bands *cough* Nickelback *cough* do as well.
Believe me, there is a reason why that Simpson girl was lip syncing on SNL. She can't sing! She's so bad that on-the-fly tune correction can't help her!
The worst part is that all this is done behind our backs.
