- frenchdiggler, on 10/25/2007, -6/+77Jesus, Ray Charles could have seen this one coming....
- claybird, on 10/23/2007, -1/+43And there I was ready to see something like: "let go of my eggo... bitch"
- MattnJax, on 10/25/2007, -13/+52I'm not a huge fan of Kid Rock, but I'm gonna defend the man here.
If you read the story, the other guy started it cause of some chick that was in Rock's entourage. Also, it was 5 in the morning. I can understand why Kid Rock would at a waffle house at that time cause of touring or whatnot, but any other person that's in a waffle house at 5am is probably ***** up and looking for a fight, especially if he sees some celebrity that he feels threatens his manhood (whatever the hell that means). - dudefather, on 10/25/2007, -4/+38yeah forget the biker bars or the ghetto, the waffle houses are the real places to spill some blood
- vileS, on 10/23/2007, -1/+29It's Kid Rock, so it'd probably be more like :
"I'm gonna rock this coffee like blasting the past, better drop that waffle before I whoop some ass!"
Then Sheryl Crow would start mouth breathing into the microphone, some top 40's would call it brilliant, and Casey Kasem would dedicate it to a lost dog in VA. - Koldkompress, on 10/25/2007, -1/+26I remember the Waffle riot of '68, there were bodies all over the place, waffle patterns ironed onto their bloody faces, batter covering the wall in some kind of sadistic monument to redneck hatred and late night dining.
- jun2san, on 10/23/2007, -3/+26I live in Jacksonville Florida and I have seen more than one 3am waffle house fight in my time. Seeing Kid Rock in one would just be an added bonus.
- Pimpalicious316, on 10/22/2007, -1/+17to me, more shocking than the story is the fact that kerfuffle is actually a word. amazing.
- thcobbs, on 10/25/2007, -3/+19"I can only imagine what redneck decided to do this."
You mean... like Kid Rock? - sgglynn, on 10/22/2007, -2/+17"any other person that's in a waffle house at 5am is probably ***** up and looking for a fight,"
That's a pretty broad generalization don't you think? Fisherman usually get breakfast before going out, early workers can eat breakfast at a diner. People ending a night shift job, insomniacs, people that are drunk but not looking for a fight..... - mt066, on 10/22/2007, -0/+14I think it got started with a syrup chugging contest. "Those boys get a little syrup in them, they get all antsy in their pantsy."
- sgglynn, on 10/22/2007, -1/+15I like waffles
- poolboy82, on 10/22/2007, -2/+16No use of scattered, smothered, or covered to describe the fight. Frankly, I’m a little disappointed.
- 15thPD, on 10/23/2007, -5/+15I've been a Kid Rock fan for close to 15 years now. It seems like Digg hates everything I like. Screw you guys, I'm going home.
- ScotchInBox, on 10/23/2007, -19/+29I'm not sure what's worse - Kid Rock "farts out" another album or he didn't got to a HoJo. Either way - he was irrelevant 3 -5 years ago. C U back in the trailer park.
- mustafya, on 10/22/2007, -1/+11Well, I think it is more from airplay than sales. Around here they play his new single at least once an hour on the "modern rock" station. The other day they had several people call in complaining that they were tired of hearing it because it sucked. The dj replied that he had no control over what music was played and that he didn't really care for it that much either. He directed the people to call some number at clearchannel if they were sick of hearing it.
Ladies and gentlemen, payola is alive and well. - LordOfTheSponge, on 10/22/2007, -0/+92 words...
White, Trash - J3553, on 11/06/2007, -0/+9why is kid rock famous again?
- austin63, on 10/22/2007, -0/+8No Hojo's in atlanta. That is waffle house territory.
- clyde2801, on 10/22/2007, -0/+8Does anyone NOT go to a Waffle House at 5 in the morning looking for a fight?
- ayeroxor, on 10/23/2007, -5/+13Kid? Yes. Rock? Not so much.
- Touchy610, on 10/22/2007, -2/+10Damn, his newest album sold that many? Who the ***** bought them? Seriously, I thought he fell off the face of the Earth quite some time ago.
- earthceltic, on 10/22/2007, -3/+10He's not a "red neck" at all, just a suburbanite with marketing that tells him to act like trailer trash. I've been to romeo, his hometown just outside of Detroit. It's quite nice (pics at http://www.infomi.com/city/romeo/ ) and although there are idiot hicks everywhere in michigan he was definitely not one of them when he started. Good job music industry for shaping him into the grand, stately figure we see in the mug shot.
Here's a usa today link for the news : http://www.usatoday.com/life/people/2005-02-16-kid ... - kungfumaniac, on 10/23/2007, -3/+10"You can take the boy outta the country. . ."
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -1/+8A winner is you.
- stellarceltic, on 10/22/2007, -0/+7Yeah I hate when he takes over my stereo and doesn't let me change stations.
- QuickeningYak, on 10/23/2007, -2/+9His #1 album is in a genre he calls "hick-hop" and you call him relevant?
- deviouskoopa, on 10/23/2007, -6/+12"...he rocked a sold-out Tabernacle at a show supporting "Rock N Roll Jesus," currently the No. 1 album in the country and the first chart-topper of his 17-year career."
Since when has Kid Rock had the #1 album in the country?! I'm almost glad I've been living under a rock if this is what's going on out there... - badenglishihave, on 10/23/2007, -4/+10Waffled.
- bastion_xx, on 10/22/2007, -2/+8That Waffle House isn't too far from Buckhead though. Not many rednecks there. Yuppie necks though. Ironic that I know of 2 dot-com shutdowns and a Web 2.0 startup that had meetings at said Waffle House.
- djdole, on 10/22/2007, -0/+6I heard about this on my morning commute.
The funniest part about it is that he was wearing a t-shirt with his own face on it at the time. X-D - robbpf, on 10/23/2007, -1/+6Waffle House puts the ass in class.
- lazyrussian, on 10/23/2007, -3/+8I just woke up...this comment made my day...thank you.
- QuickeningYak, on 10/22/2007, -0/+5I just love a warm kerfuffle in the evening with a nice glass of donnybrook.
- wiirdo, on 10/22/2007, -0/+5The victim should be arrested for allowing to be beaten up by the loser Kid Rock.
- JAGUART, on 10/22/2007, -3/+7"while his alleged victim was slapped with a felony for breaking an $800 window"
How'd you like to ruin the rest of your life over a broken window? - Shambla, on 10/22/2007, -0/+4Sometimes you read a headline and you become stunned in disbelief.

...this is not one of those times. - mindsnare, on 10/22/2007, -3/+7Great Mug Shot, he looks really old.
- DangerStepp, on 10/22/2007, -0/+4He probably did this stuff before he was "famous", too.
- hornfinger, on 10/22/2007, -5/+9Interesting how you always hear of celebrities beating up catering staff or photographers but they never take on somebody who really deserves it like a politician or oil baron. Bunch of wussy drama queens
- indio007, on 10/23/2007, -6/+10Kid Rock should have been charged with impersonating a musician.....
- DteK, on 10/22/2007, -0/+4That is exactly the picture I was painting as I was reading the story
- QuickeningYak, on 10/22/2007, -2/+6Someone should remind Kid Rock that he has to learn not to poop on the carpet if wants to come in the house.
- Markpdotcom, on 10/25/2007, -1/+5Hahahahahahaha! You were being sarcastic... right? Right???
- inactive, on 10/22/2007, -1/+5Not even Oprah?
- draculthemad, on 10/22/2007, -0/+4Maybe not throwing a punch.
But if some asshat starts talking trash at a woman you are with, you kind of are obligated to step in and at least the guy starts insulting you and not her.
What is he supposed to do? just sit there? That would make him a complete douche. - sethosayher, on 10/23/2007, -0/+4You guys don't understand. Waffle Houses are like Arenas...you come for the waffles but you stay for the COMBAT.
- vidorian, on 10/22/2007, -0/+3"was arrested after police said he and his entourage beat up a customer — at a local Waffle House."
- yfguitarist, on 10/22/2007, -1/+4In order to be a real man, you have to get into fights over every insult? THAT sounds more like a pussy with something to prove than a real man.
- MassiveTaTas, on 10/22/2007, -0/+3Kid Dork!
