    Not a lot of facial expressions, but he's good at the roles he gets.

  • SenorBudd, on 11/28/2008, -1/+5And the article also mentioned my other favorites, A Scanner Darkly (with Robert Downey Jr) and Constantine. I also have a soft spot for his earlier work in River's Edge (with Crispin Glover).

    Keanu has a knack for picking the right kind of movie in the sci-fi genre. So I might have to check out TDtEST even though it won't compare to the classic.

  • jggr, on 11/28/2008, -1/+4He's one of my favourite actors. I personally think he's very talented. The thing (imho) which causes people to not like him is that he just looks, um, simple. Those big eyes have trouble conveying the range of emotion his roles sometimes call for. So, it's not skill, but genetics.
    /Also, as much as My Own Private Idaho ***** me up (watched it when I was very young), it is a very good movie.

It was funny - because of the way I was playing him, I didn't have a lot of facial cues, so when I was thinking about the character, I'd just look at people and I would answer them, but I wouldn't do anything with my face. I realised that it was a little off-putting so when we weren't shooting, I had to remember to smile. I enjoyed it a lot."

    If this doesn't sum up keanu reeves' acting, nothing will.
