    I'd almost be willing to lose the Daily Show to see Jon Stewart move into real news. If you watch his serious interview segments he clearly has the intellectual chops to become this generations Walter Cronkite.

    The dangerous celebrity worship is being done on people with zero good qualities and many horrible qualities that are being encouraged by constant coverage/attention. Paris Hilton and that crowd are a great example of this. One guy with a cell cam takes a pic of jon stewart and he smiles back, but hilton can barely get into or out of her car without being hounded by a swarm of photographers.
